Thank you so much! I have been trying to find the solution to this problem for a couple of hours. Deleting (clearing?) the profile did the trick!

I know this is an old thread but I am experiencing the left hand bug as well. Not sure if it will help anyone else but I've just noticed that my character CAN cast with the left as long as she is moving forward.
