  1. C&C suites are 100% doable in HBS's Battletech game, right down to providing distinct buffs for the command mech and the whole lance. I know it's not what you were looking for but it might actually be more to your liking if you are used to playing tabletop.
  2. I'm positive it's a mod doing it but I'm having trouble trying to pin it down. If I disable all mods it works fine, but if I try to disable them one by one it just keeps crashing and giving that "fatal error" popup. Same with adjusting load order, it does this no matter what I try. I *THINK* these mods are all compatible. At least I didn't see anything on any of the mod pages that says there's an incompatibility, but I guess I shouldn't totally rule that out. GOG Jumpship edition, I do not have CTA.

I know for sure it's not a missing master issue as I can play the game normally and that specific crash only happens when I try to progress the "Birds of a Feather" quest to the abandoned warehouse. Missing mod files also seems unlikely for the same reason, I can (so far at least) play the rest of the game fine unless I try to do that specific quest stage. Just for the heck of it I tried disabling everything but the base New Vegas.esm and still had it crash at that part, that makes me think it's probably a loose data file from some mod or other that's become corrupted. I'll probably just end up using the console to bypass that quest stage since I have no way of re-downloading anymods from nexus right now. Thanks for the help though, I do appreciate it.
  4. Unfortunately I can't view the wiki. I have no internet access at my home currently and the local library has it blocked, as well as the main nexus site. I had gotten all the mods I wanted downloaded when I was visiting family over the holiday but didn't start having these issues until I got back home.
  5. I could try disabling the AWOP compatibility patch and see if it makes any difference since the guns work fine using the other 2mm EC variants. If I use the 2mm EC, 2mm EC (OC), or 2mm EC (MC) the guns fire normally, but when I switch to the "2mm electronic cartridge" ammo with -10 DT that seems to be the standard CFW ammo it's literally like shooting blanks. The crafting and recycling recipes create the same "2mm electronic cartridge" ammo that doesn't work which is why I was having an issue with it. If one or the other recipes created working ammo I wouldn't care and I'd just use that recipe. Actually, thinking about it that way, I suppose it could be because there is no Calibr-CFW patch that I could find. Calibr has it's own gauss ammo but if there's no compat patch for CFWNV and it has a different record, which loads after then that would cause the problem, yes?
  6. The issue is that the 2mm Electronic Cartridge ammo from CFWNV for the M72, PPK12, and MEC Gauss weapons does nothing when fired aside from play the firing sound. It does no damage, doesn't zoom on the target when used in VATS and just shows my character, has no hit effect, and does no damage even when fired point blank. I looked it up in FNVedit and it seems like the problem is that it has no projectile but editing it in the geck won't save since it's a master and I'm not sure how to fix it in FNV edit. As far as I know I have the latest version of the mod unless there's a more up to date version somewhere other than Nexus or Mod DB. The 2mm EC ammo from Calibr does work but it can't be crafted so the classic Gauss weapons are of limited use since you have to rely on buying or looting ammo for them. I know I can spawn more of the working Calibr ammo with the console but I'd rather fix the nonworking CFW ammo which is already craftable, or make the Calibr ammo craftable. If there's already an existing fix that I've somehow missed that would be great, if not then any help with fixing it myself would be appreciated.

I've tried dismissing companions, removing excess inventory items, leaving and re-entering the Silver Rush, closing/relaunching the game and trying it from the first savegame load, and validiating files through Steam but nothing seems to work. I remember I had this problem in a previous playthrough and it eventually worked after I tried it enough times but now it crashes no matter what I try.
  9. Malcolm always makes me laugh. My current game I was taking Niner back toward his bike after the "let's have a drink" bit and stopped to kill the Coyotes hanging around Devil's Gullet, and as I'm picking up the old cans and other junk down there he just materializes and starts yakking away. The only thing I can think of is he came out of the cave entrance....it's like he knew I was going to be there and just waited to ambush me with his star cap obsession. I haven't killed him yet, but I've seen him die plenty of times by running into enemies or mines after talking to me. One of my favorites was him running up as I was checking out that Powder Ganger camp near Jean Skydiving. I was sneaking up behind one of them that was sitting down by the fire to reverse pickpocket a frag mine on him, then Malcolm comes running up out of nowhere and triggers a powder charge that was at the ganger's feet and blew them both up.

I'll activate a few depending on the type of character I'm using in a particular playthrough, like Decisions with Regrets and War Never Changes make no sense for a non NCR character, and Decrucifiction and Free the Slaves are counterproductive for a Legion character.
  11. Oh, that's why I never saw the ghosting option. I was trying it individually instead of just mass selecting all of them.....sometimes it's the simple things that trip you up. That's got it sorted though, thanks a lot for the help.

I still see them all with the normal .esp extension after they're added to the bashed patch and they're still recognized in WF and NMM so I'm not sure whether the version of WF I'm using is out of date or something, but it shouldn't be since I just downloaded it from nexus last week when I decided to get back into NV. I was going to move the .esp files into a new folder then move them back to the data folder when I need to rebuild, I just wanted to know if moving the .esp files after I build the patch would cause any problems or not, I wasn't going to touch any resource files.

I got the idea to move the 30 or so .esp files that wrye flash deactivated after merging them into my bashed patch into a "bashed mods" folder on my desktop so I'd still have ready access to them if I need to rebuild the bashed patch, but will it cause any problems if they're not present in the data folder? Since I found out deactivated mods still count towards the cap I've been trying to trim my load order as small as possible and I've got it down to around 135 total plugins, but I want to see if I can get it even lower. I've not had any luck with merged patches so this is about the only way I can think of.
  14. Just incase anyone else has the same issue I found what it was, it's from the "War Never Changes" mod and it's just a generic follower that you won't miss.
  15. Unactivated mods counting toward the limit would explain it. Aside from what's in my load order list there's probably a couple dozen more that are just sitting there, I did some cleanup in my data folder and it works now, thanks.

As soon as I get the message about Dead Money being loaded I get all kinds of texture corruption, I can't interact with containers, and the escape key stops responding so I have to alt+F4 to close the game.   17. I haven't touched NV in a very long time, as in it's been years since I last played. I don't remember which mod the follower "Seven" is from but whenever I start a new game I get a message saying he (she?) has died amidst the notices from other mods. I'm just wondering if it's an important character or just a generic follower that can be safely ignored. And if it's someone important, any advice on what to do to fix it?
  18. Chief Hanlon doesn't seem like the fatherly type to me and like was pointed out the Chosen One would be more like a Grandfather, so Mysterious Stranger gets my vote too. Though House would be amusing to say the least.
  19. I wanted to reply yesterday when I first saw your post but I just had no words, and I still really don't. That really is a horrid series of events and it takes a lot of grit to keep yourself together through all that. My hat is off to you.

I'd guess it's probably because many of us who actively post on internet forums weren't around in 1973 and there was no internet back then for people to make posts about it at the time, but there's nothing stopping anyone from starting a thread dedicated to the Chilean 9/11 now. If you feel that strongly about it why not be the one to do it? I'm sure some people would appreciate it.
  21. I remember where I was clearly even 10 years later, I was at my computer when my dad called me saying the WTC just got hit by a plane and I should really go upstairs and look at the news. I went up and my dad and one of our neighbors were in the room and we were watching the live news footage, just sitting there wondering what happened when the first tower fell.....at first I thought just the top few floors had collapsed, but as the dust cloud moved lower and there was nothing above it I realized the whole thing was gone. Really wasn't anything else to do at the time but pray, and I remember just feeling numb inside when we heard about all the Firefighters who had died when the towers collapsed, and all the people who were trapped inside that they were trying to get to. Then they showed coverage of the Pentagon and the plane that crashed in a field, the whole day was just unreal after all that.

I don't have an image, it's a mod I was watching a while ago but I forgot to track it.....it includes the "Watchtower Outpost" full of Enclave that you have to kill an officer then put on the uniform to infiltrate. It's part of a quest mod but I can't for the life of me remember what the name of it was.

For some the enemies in that military base you could use the different robot variations that are shown in the Repconn HQ as a base if you have anyone that can do modeling, like the Security Bot variant with dual gatlings on the shoulders. I'd volunteer for the AI voice if you've got someone to modulate it, and/or Cassidy's voice if you still want more people for more choices.
  24. I'm available to do voice work, I've had some past experience (I did the voice for Pvt. Ruiz in the Mothership Zeta Crew mod for FO3 and for anyone who's played Homeworld 2 I did the voice for the Defiance in PDS 1.5x). I can range from smartass to serious and whiny/annoying to semi-deep, and a friend of mine offered to let me use his band's recording studio so it'll come out clean. I do sarcastic or angry very well. One thing though, since I'd be using his recording studio it may take a while to finish if there's a lot of lines so I may not be the best choice if you need something done very quickly.
