  1. So I'm working on a lore-based guide to creature mods and I need advice. In order to properly access some mods I'll need to spawn them in with console commands. How do I find the ids for a creature added by a mod? Do I need to use the Creation Kit or xEdit and if so how do I do that? Any help that can be offered will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  2. So I want to use a Guard Armor replacer mod, but I also like the vanilla armors. Solution -- make the old guard armor regular, run-of-the-mill gear that shows up in level lists. I decided that this actually might be a good place to start for modding on my own, but I'm a complete, total noob. Any advice or tutorial recommendations would be super helpful. Thank you.

  3. There's a good lot of mods modifying the docks and exterior of Solitude, but the only such mod for Windhelm is kind of broken, and no such standalone exists for Riften. I use mods like JK's Skyrim so an all-in-one dock mod is not going to work for me, unless someone can build a patch for it. If someone could do this that would be awesome. Thanks.

  4. The author of the second mod - Daggerfall Traits for Skyrim - wrote in the permissions: Feel free to create any patches for this mod or link to it or modify it as you see fit, but credit would be nice. If I understand correctly, as you see fit includes porting to SSE. The archive contains only .esp and Papyrus scripts, so, I think, it could be ported to SSE only with CK.

That does help, and I'm willing to use that, so thanks  The original request still stands though since I think it is something worth updating and refining.

EDIT: oracus0 included a port of Daggerfall traits in the optional files section of his Skygerfall mod

  5. I'm looking for a mod that lets you add individual traits to characters to make each play-through more unique -- for example, your character was a sailor so they can stay underwater for longer periods of time, but they have arachnophobia and do less damage to spiders and chaurus. There are some for Oldrim but they haven't been updated in ages and I don't want to break my game.

Here are some examples of what I'm talking about:

    https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/62051

If a mod like this already exists for SE I couldn't find it.

    Anyway, thanks.

  6. Playing a 'kind' character who uses 'Bend Will' to avoid slaying dragons has one big drawback -- you can't learn many other shouts.

So my idea is this -- when you tame a dragon, it will randomly unlock any locked word you have for you, like when Parthanax and the Greybeards share their understanding of a word with you. Of course, this will only work if you have any locked words.

So, does anyone think this sounds plausible?

  7. Ok, here on the Nexus there's a mod that allows you to commission blacksmiths for armour provided you have the gold and the price. I was thinking you could do a similar thing with alchemists -- just hand them your ingredients and some gold and you'll get a bunch of potions. The trade-off is your alchemy skill won't level up, but if you're a serious role-player that shouldn't be s problem.

I'd suggest a similar idea for enchanting gear, but I'm hoping to see that as an add-on to Miami The Alchemist's soul-gem trading mod.
