  1. According to Bethesda, most will be OK - just NOT SKSE mods and some scripted ones. Though Bethesda is usually wrong.
  2. I occasionally get this when a script is actively trying to set up animations with FNIS. Try and clean your save to speed up scripts. Save Cleaner will also advise on the heaviest scripts affecting your game.

I believe that if I'm not prepared to pay, I can not expect to have. However, that would mean that many talented people out there would not get the attention that they could. Case in point is the fantastic acting in 3DNPC. Many of the contributors are doing it for their CV as much as for fun. Not wanting pay just wanting recognition. You must realise that Game Companies and not just Bethesda have their eyes scrutinising these mods to look for future talent. Yes donate PLEASE, but the Nexus is a Community not a Market Place.
  4. In response to post #24765994. Bethesda did not lock it to one platform. You can play it on XBOX or PS3. You just have to spend money. Steam counters piracy and Steam allows me to play my games long after I would have lost the disk + to play my games on my other PC 1/4 the way round the planet for no extra cost. Steam is not a platform it is a delivery system and thanks to Dr. Gordon Freeman I have that opportunity.

Just like FavouredSoul just said:- "Its hard enough getting people to click a button to endorse a mod, let alone get people to use a donate button to give me the 5c they would rather keep." - Me? - 1700 endorsements so far. Best I start putting my money where my mouth is. With 3600 hours of playing Skyrim under the belt, I know how much I owe the Nexus and the modding community.
  6. I am all for a free modding culture, but all this contradiction and widely opposed opinion has made me chose to do something I have avoided on financial grounds for 6 years on the Nexus. I am putting my hand in my pocket and going PREMIUM. Anyone that relies on the Nexus for their enjoyment should think about doing the same PLUS donating to their favourite modders once in a while. If you can afford a gaming computer then you can afford a subscription. It reminds me of Free? Antivirus packages that install PUP's. I PAY for mine (Emsisoft's amazing software). 35 years of computing has taught me who the villains are. There is no such thing as a free lunch. One huge reason Steam is so popular with Game Publishers is it is an effective way to combat piracy. Anyone who has pirated a game only has themselves to blame. Many PC game consumers (thieves) got greedy and now the honest ones amongst us have to pay the price. Bethesda and Valve have honorably chosen to back down, but rest assured this is a taste of what is to come

I have used Avast for years and it just gets better, This was the software I recommended to customers when I had a computer business. I also do a monthly scan with a non resident scanner by Emisoft. Both do excellently in reviews. IoBit Malware fighter also has performed well for me. And also Spybot must get a mention and still picks up the odd extra spyware issue. Lastly don't forget to keep your drive tidy with products like Dupzilla and CCleaner for unwanted crap so your scans have less to do. Then SCAN WEEKLY. - AND ALL OF THESE PRODUCTS ARE FREE. No excuses now!
  8. All clear with Google from the UK today. Earlier Zone Alarm warned then Avast picked up the Trojan so I am happy. While I am sure this was a bummer for you, I say, "Caviat Emptor". As for those that fell foul, leave that to the thories of Darwin. Protect and Survive!
