  1. I actually like the legion armors. They have a roman look to them, but at the same time they have that mad max-inspired feel. I feel that if the legion had extremely accurate roman armor, it'd be as if the actual empire was just wandering around the mojave. I'd like to see some more roman stuff mixed with the current football pad/spikes armor, but don't just replace everything with actual roman stuff. Got to keep that post-apocalyptic feel to it.
  2. I don't know of any one mod that will make your game run smooth as silk, but there are many separate mods you can enable. There are mods that get rid of muzzle flash, blur on hit, normal mapping (if it runs that badly), low-res textures, etc.
  3. Who said anything about her being a raider?
  4. holy poo, that's a sweet looking asteroid belt. Anyway, the only thing that bugs me about fo3 jetpack mods is the fact that there aren't any animations. This is a problem we cab't overcome for now, but is there a work around? I've been thinking, is it possible to trick the game into thinking that there is invisible water around you, and that would allow you do do the swimming animations, but in the air with a jetpack on? Something tells me that would be too complicated, but an idea's and idea, so yeah.
  5. Nah, I didn't make it. Hopefully Honest Abe will be in the DLC, and if he's not, I guess someone could make a custom Lincoln companion and place him somewhere on board. Bonus points for using voice overs from Bill and Ted's excellent adventure.

  7. Check out the mothership zeta trailer. There's a cowboy with a very similar outfit.
  8. I had the exact same thing happen to me. You don't have the latest version of gfwlive, and that makes the patch install stop at 13%. Updating live through the game always gave me errors (the install bar would go to the very end instantly, and then stop for 30 minutes before timing out and giving me an error) Instead, you'll need to download the latest version of gfwlive manually and install that. After that, the patch should work as intended. Now for my own problem (don't want to start a new topic) After updating recently to 1.6 (I was just able to do this now because of the problem above) my save file seems to be corrupted. It will crash whenever I save. Now, I know that you can work around this by loading the game twice (or killing yourself the first time) but that doesn't make the problem go away, and you need to do this every time you start fo3. halp?
  9. Cross your fingers, everybody, because you'd better hope Mothership Zeta turns out like this:
  10. Someone over at the beth forums was working on something called Lone Wanderer Armor, which had a very mad maxish vibe to it. I believe he stopped working on it a while ago, but I'm not sure why. Anyway, here's a link and a pic. http://i41.tinypic.com/vncjkm.jpg
  11. If you want proper animations, the only way to do this would be to change the model. Assuming the double barrel model is based on the sawed off, you might just be able to replace the nitrishapedata of the uncut barrel with the shortened one. If the models aren't proportionate, you will probably need to open it in blender and cut off the ends of the DB shotgun.
  12. Interestingly enough, this may be happening to me too. I walked into Tenpenny's for the first time since I got patch1.6 and point lookout, and I realized that one of the NPCs was gigantic. This woman was over a head taller than me, and probably barely fit through the doorways. I thought it might have been a mmm problem, but I haven't updated since long before plo, and never had any problems then. All in all, it's no big deal. Maybe irradiated women turn into amazons, who knows?
  13. If you think about it, to get a marsy atmosphere going on, all you really need to do is picture the capital wasteland, remove the trees, and paint everything rust red. Any sort of buildings on the other hand, would be very tricky. The dusty weather setting from the wasteland mood series would work perfectly, and I'd be willing to bet that Mothership Zeta would help greatly.
  14. I'm not much on indian lore, but I thought that karma basically meant "what goes around, comes around." If that's the case, then you should simply get more/better items from loot if you're a good character, and less swag if you're bad. At least I think that makes more sense than given certain characters certain types of items based on disposition.
