  1. So the author of this mod doesn't allow comments, or comments are disabled. Whatever I don't know how that works, but I can't ask questions directly. So here goes. This mod is a compilation of a bunch of other mods. I'm coming back to this game after a LONG hiatus, and I used to use this Buster Sword mod that I really liked because I'm a weeb. Only problem, is this mod has been COMPLETELY discontinued, and can ONLY be found as a part of this Cookiepocalypse compilation. No offense to the author/creator, but I F@$#ING hate everything about this compilation. Engrams, all that stuff, unnecessary. All I want is the Buster Sword. Does anyone have any idea how I could get JUST the Buster Sword separated from this compilation so I don't have to have utterly game breaking, immersion ruining garbage like giant shining engrams and exploding confetti coming out of every enemy?
  2. *Bump* Still looking for some tips on what to edit to remove these explosion effects
  3. it is fine to alter someone elses mod for your own use. it is however illegal to share the altered mod with anyone without permission from the creator. Ah cool beans. Thank you! Really do love this mod concept so that is awesome.
  4. Hey there. So I've been getting ready to start tampering with a few things in FO4 using FO4Edit. Specifically the mod, Heavy Weaponry. Now I just wanted to verify, is this ok? The author has been inactive for a long time, and I get the feeling they aren't coming back to it. Just wasn't sure if it was against some on-site rules to mess with another persons mod without permission from them, because they can't be contacted it seems. As for the second part. I'm looking through the settings on FO4Edit....and wow....a little overwhelming. So I was hoping to get some tips. I don't know if anyone's used this mod, but I love some of the models/designs, but the weapons are painfully overpowered. To the point of being unusable and removing any fun from the game. Massive, obtrusive explosions proc with every hit and obscure the view. Pretty much everything one shots everything in this mod. But the models look really cool. I want to remove the on-hit explosion effects for the melee weapons, and tone down the damage of the ranged weapons. I would appreciate any advice or tips on this. Thank you all. Keep up the great work!
  5. Hello there. Just had some ideas I thought I'd pitch out in case someone is feeling charitable and/or funky-fresh towards the idea of expanding on Power Fists. I feel like the Puncturing and Heated Coils variants are rather boring and lacking when there's so much to work with in the game. And I couldn't find any significant mods changing up this weapon....so here goes... Fist Scale: Can choose between Regular and Heavy Power Fist. Inspired by the Mechanical Arm from the Heavy Weaponry mod on Nexus. The author I think has given up on this and no updates have come in a long time. Love this design he/she came up with, but they made it overpowered and kind of a pain due to additional explosive effects that can't be removed. -Heavy Version: Move speed reduction and slower attack speed, but higher damage overall and slightly longer range. Primary Mods Ripper/Double/Triple Ripper Fist: These mods, escalating in Blacksmith rating for the better versions, add Rippers to the front, forming Chainsaw Claws. Can choose Short and Curved variants. -Bleeding Damage + Normal bonuses for Short and Curved variants. -Regular sized Fist only gets Single and Double. Heavy version can get Single, Double, and Triple Rippers. -Both can replace Rippers with a pair of Industrial Sawblades on either side that further increase chance to cripple opponents. Shock Fist: Basically the electric version of the Heating Coil. Adds energy damage, but does more damage to Robots/Synths etc.... -Upgrade that causes the Tesla Arc effect that Power Armor can get. -Heavy variant has upgrade that causes impact to release a shock that strikes nearby enemies. -Either can upgrade the electrical circuits with Fusion Coils to generate a short range field of high intensity Plasma, vastly increasing damage while generating Radiation with every hit to counterbalance.(Requires Nuclear Physicist.) Wrecker Fist: Designed for smashing through Power Armor and other heavy targets. Hydraulics have been massively upgraded to increase the force and impact of the Fist. Could add a Compression tank to the design for aesthetics and some additional metal bits to make it look heavier. -Increased Knockdown/Knockback. Greatly ignores armor. -Heavy Variant can be upgraded with increased range as the Pistons have been extended, "shooting" the fist forward further when used. -Either may be upgraded with a "Grinder", basically just a big metal cylinder covered in rusty metal studs. Doesn't have to spin. Would be cool but not necessary. Just some ideas. Let me know what you think.
  6. Hey there. I've been trying to make a Middle Eastern/Indian female character for a while now with no success. They always end up looking odd, like a white person just with dark skin. Does anyone have any ideas/advice, for making an attractive ethnic woman of such descent? I wouldn't even mind a really good preset, I just haven't found one yet. At least with a preset I could just tweak it to my liking.(Also, has anyone made anything comparable to a Bindi cosmetic? Or those red tribal tattoos they use for weddings? If not its okay. That would be an awesome mod for this but its not necessary.) Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this. I've had trouble in general with making ethnic characters.
  7. (Edit. I just found the mod resources/tutorials thread on this site. Sooo....yeah I'll start looking into that. But if anyone wants to comment or offer thoughts/collaborate then by all means!) Hey there. So I'd be willing to make this myself, but I have no experience modding. If someone were to point me in the right direction in regards to tutorials/materials ect, then I'd start working up to it for sure. There's just a lot of stuff out there, and I don't really know what to trust in regards to best methods and programs to use. Anyways, just in case someone out there wants to take a look at this idea, here goes. Chain Weapons.(And yes, definitely inspired by 40K. But there are so many awesome space marine power armor paints on Nexus that this should be a no brainer!) The idea would be adding a series of chainsaw/esque themed melee weapons to the game, including a chain-bayonet! I thought a simple mod that extends the length of the RIpper to the length of a full sword, maybe three feet, would be a great place to start. Here are the weapons I had in mind....all would come with a basic bleed effect....because seriously...chainsaw... Chainsaw: Average length, slow speed, extremely modifiable(The idea being as this is not a military weapon, there are more in circulation, homes, hardware stores, etc. And being a relatively simple machine, it is easy to modify if you have the basic knowledge. Modifications like double barred and triple barred would add lots of weight, but also magnify the damage heavily. Tuned up motor, electrified blade, extended blade, weighted blade, rusty blade(poison damage), and tungsten blade. This sort of weapon should show up a lot in the Enemy weapon list.) Chainsword: Average length, speed, low penetration. (Basically just a long Ripper. Could just be a mod for the weapon that further extends the blade, maybe at a cost to speed and weight.) Chainaxe: Shorter length, high speed, high penetration(Similar size and hitbox to the Tire Iron/axe mod. Similar size to the Ripper, but stronger and more difficult to make. Chainpike: Highest reach, slowest speed, average penetration Chainfist: Shortest length, average speed, EXTREME penetration(Was thinking this could be a mod for the Power Fist. Like add Ripper blades to the weapon.) Chain Bayonet: Adds bleed damage to bash attacks. I had some other ideas to turn this into an extensive overhaul that would change the way the current Ripper is modified, as well as adding in these alternative weapons with a similar system. Anyways, thank for reading. I appreciate any thoughts. I'm really loving this game and its the first one that made me want to get into modding.
