  1. Wondering if it is currently possible to add bones to non-outfit related .Nif files utilizing just nifskope. I know I can and how to do this in Blender but if I can do it without that would be cool. I recall being able to do similar stuff in other bethesda games by changing/copying/renaming some values but can't seem to get it to work with Starfield yet. For example. I want to add a weapon or other general static item onto an outfit. Taking the Combat Knife as an example. -Copying over the geometry branch onto the new outfit shows up in Nifskope but disappears in-game -Copying over the entire NiNode causes both to function in game but the Knife just floats and is not weighted or rigged to a skeleton. -Attempt to copy SkinAttach node from base outfit to the knife does nothing. -Attempted to take the base human skeleton, add the entire NiNode of the weapon onto it and then copy into the new outfit. Still not working. I am aware of the Blender Geometry Bridge plugin here on the Nexus but It doesn't appear to want to work when you try and combine multiple .Nif files. So yeah, I made some attempts but failed. If there is nothing that can be done at the moment it's all good but if anyone has had any luck I would appreciate your insight.
  2. Thank you, Adding it to the race does work. I was thinking that it was related to a quest check but wasn't sure. I'll be working more on the quest related things as I would rather that be how it is acquired then by editing player races. Appreciate the help theblackpixel
  3. Greetings, I am trying to create a custom ability for an armor set. What I am trying to accomplish is something similar in concept to the Ahzidal's Genius effect where wearing "X" number of pieces grants you an ability. I'll do my best to try and explain and what I tested. Ahzidal Genius effect is located under "Ability" as DLC2dunKolbjornSetAbility. It applies +10 to enchanting if its conditions are met. The condition is: WornApparelHasKeywordCount Keyword: DLC2dunKolbjornAhzidalItem == 4 Run on Subject. Sounds simple. In order to get my ability I need to create/assign specific keyword to the armor items, create an ability with the magic effect I want, apply conditions to the magic effect that only allow it to function when the armor with the keywords is equipped. I created the exact same conditions for my armor set as the Ahzidal's but still cannot get it to work in game. My steps were as follows: -Created new keyword and assigned it to my items -Created a magic effect that mirrors Ahzidals in everyway. Same boxes checked and that sort of thing. Even tested with the exact same bonus of fortify enchanting. -Created an ability that applies the magic effect and applied the conditionals related to equipped keywords and mirrored all other aspects exactly as Ahzidal Still nothing. However, to test again I instead applied the keyword DLC2dunKolbjornAhzidalItem to my armor set. Now when equipped I gain the Ahzidal Genius ability. So from what I can tell, when I created my new ability there is some value somewhere in the CK that I cannot find that needs to checked or added. I would appreciate any help that could be offered.
  4. This post can be deleted as it is no longer needed. I have received the assistance I need
  5. I know this game is slightly older and there is a chance that most of the people that do modding of the game have moved on to other titles and projects but its worth a shot. I am looking for a modder to make me a mod that utilizes MGO assets and making them compatible with the regular game and worn on Snake/Avatar. I have attempted to do this myself and failed as I have no idea what I am doing and I do not have the experience with the tools to actually make it work nor are their sufficient tutorials. From what I can gather you would need experience with Unity/FMDL Studio and 3dsMax most notably model editing and how to rig the Snake skeleton onto an asset. A bonus would be knowledge of Fova files and textures. The model and textures are already created in the game and basically just need to be rigged to a skeleton and made compatible with the main game. There will be gratuity involved that we can discuss should you be interested in doing this. It is only 2 specific assets that I am interested in and screenshots would be provided. I know it is possible to do this as some other modders have made versions similar to what I want for female characters. If you feel you have the experience/knowledge in doing stuff like this please let me know via personal message. We can discuss what I am looking for in more detail as well as discuss gratuity. Thank you for your time.
