  1. The message does not say what, just that content is missing.
  2. I had been managing the mods using Vortex, which is why I don't understand what happened. I think used it to mess up what was installed and enabled with what. I am trying to figure out what Vortex "should" show, so I can figure out what to change in it. I assumed that if I did not use a mod manager that would still be a way to see what was enabled.
  3. I have Skyrim, Skyrim SE with Dragonborn and Skyrim SE with Endreal all installed on my system (3 independent copies). My problem is I use Vortex to manage them and somehow the mods have gotten very confused. When I start Skyrim or SSE-DB I get messages that content is missing, but I can't figure out what it is. SSE-Endreal seems to be okay. Is there a way outside of Vortex to determine which mods are installed for a given version/copy ?
  4. I run separate versions of Skyrim, Skyrim SE and Endreal SE. There are a few mods that I believe are used in all 3, and a number used in both the 2 versions of SE. What is the correct way to manage all these and how do you determine what is used where ?
  5. I have separate installs for Skyrim. Skyrim SE and Endreal. I recently mucked about with the mods in Vortex and now nothing works right. I assume p[art of it has to do with mods that are used in more than one install. 1) If I start Skyrim it tells me there is content missing. How do I find out WHAT it is that is missing ? The list in Options > Load Order looks okay, but I am not sure if I trust it. 2) If I try to start Skyrim SE it simply crashes. I see the task start and then immediately go away. Are there logs anyplace that I can look at ? I have tried starting using the exe, the loader and vortex, all with the same result. Thanks Jack
  6. So I am new to AH Hotkeys on SSE and have a couple of questions. Used GRHotKeys in Skyrim, but this is much more advanced, and a bit more complex. 1 - How to you go from 2 weapons equipped to 2 magic spells equipped ? When I press the spell hotkey I expect what is equipped to change but it does not. I have to manually unequip then manually equip again to get what is equipped to change. I'm assuming there is something I missed setting, as I simply put a spell in each hand. 2 - How do you enable auto-cast for magic ? I have the custom controlmap.txt file installed in .../Data/interface/control/pc, but I never get anything auto-cast. The control.txt file says "This allows AH Hotkeys to auto cast spells by simulating left and right mouse button presses by mapping a keyboard-based key code to the left and right attack keys,". I "think" I know what that means, but not sure. Again, did I miss something else ? Thanks. And I doubt these will be my last questions, but I'll try to limit the number. Jack
  7. I just started playing SSE after working through everything in the vanilla version, as I figured that made sense before I started any DLCs. I only installed a couple of mods (see below). My problem is that Amazing Follower Tweaks conflicts with something, and when I press the Shout key (no matter what it is tied to) I get the Tweak Options dialog instead. I have tested this a couple of times and Shout fails with AFT enabled and works with it disabled. Anyone have any idea what is wrong ? Load Order ? Wrong version of AFT ? Thanks Jack SKSE64 2.0.20 SkyUI 5.2SE Unofficial SSE Patch 4.2.5b Easy Lockpicking Immersive Weapons Ring of Invisibility Arissa Amazing Follower Tweaks v1.66 SSE-3
  8. So I just started running SkyrimSE. I carried over my Skyrim saves, but cut back on the number of installed mods. I only added in SKSE64, SkyUI, Unofficial SE Patch, Immersive Weapons, Arissa and Amazing Follower Tweaks. Everything was fine until I tried to use a Shout. What I got was the Tweak Options dialog. So I changed what key I was using for Shout, but even the new key starts the Tweak Options dialog. Did I do something wrong or is there a conflict someplace ? Thanks
  9. SOLVED: Okay, not sure what happened. The mod was installed and enabled, but for some reason was not getting loaded correctly. Got it fixed and now it is okay. Thanks !
  10. Okay, I give up. I have been using AFT in Skyrim for a long time, and just switched my gameplay to SSE (yeah, I'm only a couple of years behind). However I can not figure how to make AFT-SE work. I see the 2 powers in Magic, I don't think that is what I need. The mod has a number of options, like number of followers, and it is those settings I am looking for. What is the step I need to access them ? Sorry for having to ask such a simple question. Thanks Jack
  11. Is there a process to manually uninstall Creation Kit from SSE without using Steam ? I Installed it using the instructions for Porting Skyrim mods to Skyrim Special Edition, but am having issues with CK hanging when I try to Exit, so I want to reinstall and try again. Thanks Note: I said not using Steam because I uninstalled CK for vanilla Skyrim (not SE) using Steam and it totally removed SteamLibrary>steamapps>common>Skyrim. Blew away the whole game.
  12. All I really want to do is run Dawnguard and Dragonborn in SE, as I have run thru 90% of the rest of Skyrim already. So I think what I am going to do is find a save point early enough in Skyrim that I have all the equipment I want, do a new SE install, and in the add-ons, and try running those save files. Hopefully that won't be too difficult and will work. Thanks
  13. When I upgraded from Skyrim to Skyrim SE I seem to have lost a couple of mods, including Arissa: The Wandering Rogue. I search the SE mods for Arissa, but only found a Default Body and Texture patch. not the actual mod itself. I re-downloaded the original mod using Vortex, but can't figure out how to get it into SE using Vortex. What is the correct process to install the mod ? Thanks
  14. I have been playing Skyrim for quite a while and finally got to the point where I had done everything and been everywhere in the vanilla game. So I decided I wanted to play the 3 DLCs, and since I didn't own them I looked into buying them. After doing some checking, I felt the best thing to do was buy Skyrim Special Edition and just switch my Save files over. I understand that the Mods are different, but I found 64bit versions of most of the important ones (I had a couple installed I didn't use anyway) and installed them with Vortex. What I have seems to be okay, but I was wondering if there was any general guidance about starting out with the old Save files ??? Also, can someone tell me what goes on with Arissa. I found Arissa - The Wandering Rogue (Default Body and Texture patch) but I don't think that is the actual follower, just a patch ? Is there NOT a mod for her ? Not a big deal, I'll find another follower, but I figured I'd ask, as I found conflicting info on the forum posts. Thanks Jack
