Assuming I feel "screwed over" personally or calling it audacious to be honest is a little inaccurate and over the line. Moving forward to not make this into an emotional debate: The fact of the matter is that almost everyone knows at this point that 80% plus of websites have ads and tracking routines. Even Google coders are now waking up to the fact that people block them. How wise is it to enable all scripts and enable bandwidth leeching advertisements that may break immersion or are disruptive to your browsing experience? Complacency is also never an answer. If you're the site owner you also are aware of profit motive. It's not personal against businesses if someone decides to block your revenue generating advertisements. The advertisements themselves and their content delivery and mannerisms is what usually initiates someone to block them. Javascript itself is an extremely insecure content delivery system and as a whole most security conscientious users do not allow Javascript; or run in a VM sandbox. Security is not just for servers. I guess that's my next and only option. I'll find a way a completely asinine and convoluted method to setup Nexus downloads in a VM and SMB them to the main machine.

I've had NoScript and uBlock installed on Firefox for years now without having functionality problems on this site. On NoScript I enable nexusmods.com and cloudfront. All other scripts are analytics for site usage and ad distribution; therefore unessential. I end up having to use Ixquick as a roundabout search query to and an element sniffer to find download links. This is ridiculous. What has changed and why? I was even considering getting a membership today before logging onto the site, but I will not use the site if having a membership also involves me enabling tracking and ads. What's good for the gander is not good for the goose. Nexusmods has provided me with so much pleasure and so much pain. Unfunctional software updates that have ruined hundreds of mod relationships, broken updates that uninstall mods without reinstalling them, etc. And you want money? I have a ton of it but is it a worthwhile investment? If you want to act like a business your community is also a customer basis.

I've seen a lot of this bug posted in many different areas around the internet but no real solution to get to behave properly as scripted. As for background, my character has sided with the Stormcloaks. (I previously thought this would be the reason for much of the glitch, but it did not affect the outcome.) 1.) Only Roggvir, Athar, and Taarie are present at the execution scene. None of the rest of town is present watching. This makes me wonder if there are people in Solitude missing or unspawned. (!) 2.) Roggvir is standing; Athar has his axe; and Taarie screams "Traitor!". 3.) If you talk to Taarie within the first minute of arrival, she complains that you are interrupting her from watching the execution. 4.) If you attempt to pickpocket Athar and Taarie, even if you have never met them before, it will say they have already caught you. And then you will not be able to see their inventory. Roggvir is pickpocketable. 5.) After a minute or two, if you talk to Taarie she will complain about the execution not being bloody enough for her tastes and walks away, yet Roggvir stands unharmed and then Athar eventually puts down his axe and walks off-stage. 6.) Roggvir then walks over to the grindstone and begins using it. 7.) Two minutes after this all of the Solitude guards become hostile toward you and attempt to kill you without any bounty being displayed. (!) As prescribed in other posts, I've attempted to wait at least 3 days away from Solitude, but they do not show up. Also I have had Open Cities Skyrim disabled long before approaching Solitude. The forum posts do NOT provide an accurate fix for the scripted execution nor the hostility of the Solitude guards or pickpocketing. Regarding the hostility and pickpocketing, the only way I have not been pursued by the entire town is to strike a guard and pay off a newly accrued bounty before the execution has "completed." Stormcloak or not, at this point I can walk around town unharmed. The issue being is that his is a very immersion-breaking glitch! I will provide the list of mods I have installed. Does anyone have any hunches or ideas on how to fix this glitch so that people can see the execution? Are particular mods the possible culprit? I have so many mods and don't know where to start. :P
