  1. The Abandoned prison is as close as you will get. There is a cellar mod for the Lakeview manor found in LL while Hearthfire extended allows several more cellar rooms with on having bars. Someone should rehabilitate the abandoned prison as a mod as it is a waste.

  3. I know that this sounds stupid but if you loot too quickly in the face of distractions you can actually lose items. I was looting a chest and was attacked and had to fight off a few raiders and after I had the last one I noticed that I had no 308 left. I looked around but could not see it . It was only when I went back into the building that I had cleared that I found my 200+ 308 in that chest. How?? FIIK!
  4. Is there ANY way of making this more obvious? Usually the first I know about this is when I am told that I have failed so I must return to an older save and then go there. damn well annoying and I am hoping that there is an easy solution that I have missed.

  6. Damn good idea...I become so annoyed when I go to a settlement x only to find that all of their turrets are stuffed and I have no circuit boards. So back I go.
  7. I have enough problems finding beds for them without having more of them. How they reach their beds is beyond me and managing 14 settlements already takes too much time. God help me when I have all of them.

Apologies if I have missed this one below BUT as an old Fallout player I was horrified to find that I needed a perception of 8 to gain "sniper' and an Endurance of 6 to gain radiation resistance (radiation is much more lethal in this game) and a Charisma of 6 for Local leader. The old way was take a drug (or two) and hope that there was no addiction but now we have loads of * rated add on armours and clothing that give attribute increases but do NOT help you gain perks. Sure by level 50 I will have 8 perception, 6 charisma and 6 endurance but I would like to spend some levels on decent perks(still have no Better criticals at level 20). Of course I can console cheat, but I would rather just have the "old way" back as I started 3,3,3,4,5,5,5. after literally hours of thought and while my char is doing quite well at VH (3 raiders at level 1) I am not certain I want to wait so long to upgrade attributes via levels. I almost had a nervous breakdown wasting 4 points in charisma. So a mod that allows temporary attribute increases to help gain perks would be nice. Ohh BTW I do not use stimpaks or radaways or rad x in any fallout game....masochistic but it makes it a little harder although IF I try Survival I may have to break that rule : )
  9. Hmm looks like I was well out of step here : ( Bertilsson, a few questions if I may : ) 1) does the above mod require alteration of Skyranger capacity? No? 2) The above just goes into the "mod " section of Toolboks 1.6.2? Yes? 3) is it all compatible with the latest EW under steam? Dunno 4) Is it retroactive or do I need to start new game number ? 51? Dunno Sorry that I am such a PIA : (
  10. Okay I ploughed through most(not all) of the preceding pages as this interests me and just using skyranger capacity I have managed (with NPs 6-12 troops in all of EU) to complete the old game. Sure I often had six clustered on the one spot or even "outside the wire occasionally*tough luck!!*. But NOT with the EW EU as something has changed here. EW has a CTD when any trooper drops into a depression(eg on the DLC and other battleships and in the quarry map) and I have slowly changer every modification I made to the exe and the DGC.ini and only dropping the capacity to six seems to stop it(so far) The only other modification I have NOT changed is the 3 small items slots on all armours. Even the Arcthower pistol slot I changed back. MHO is that there is something in EW that makes any increased capacity unstable and this is IN the savegames and hence corrupts them I am a total PC moron so take all this with a grain of salt : ) but I have restarted EW about 20 times to try and fix this. Ohh I had the selection problem just like everyone else and usually finished up with seven "top of the list" soldiers (6-12)and five ones that I wanted to give exp to(1-5). This was no big problems a sit was the top of the list ones that stacked as a six and that suited me until I tried it in EW . In EU the DLC handled it but in EW EW the last "battleship capture" crashed always as I approached the pair of lower gates ( I grenaded the first one as I always crashed there if I did it by touch) I hope that this helps but remember my PC knowledge is threadbare. Oh I have the latest EW steam build and ToolBoks in/out makes no difference.
  11. I did A cold boot and reloaded the game and broke the cycle so no need to reply.
  12. Spoilt by Toolboks I am stalled on a save where I have all six gaining promotion but FIVE are snipers which now gives me 90% snipers. I have reloaded the last combat save several times and it makes NO difference. and yes, I have the EW savescum working (is this payback for so doing? ie rigid noncombat effect) Is there a DGC.ini lineor resource hacker .exe that I can alter to select the ones I need as did toolbox?
  13. yes..I have had many such "WHAT????" moments: From point blank (ie next door) misses with even a pistol to alien shots across the screen from a handheld pistol which take out my man in full cover and hunkered down. My husband was in combat and he rolls around the floor laughing saying that you will get something like that once a tour but not repeatedly. landed next to an abduction ship: first trooper I moved saw SIX enemy (2 cyber discs and 4 drones) and as next one hits cover SIX mutons popup (2 elite) and then I move next guy into cover and SIX floaters jumped in...only one left was the ouitsider. I was massacred like 5x but kept trying and eventually managed the scenario without loss but to insult this with the term:"scumsave" is a punishable offence IMHO as there is no way that they could have all 18 troops just waiting near my landing spot. I increased my squad size to 10 and tried from the base autosave and had exactly the same result: all killed....so I went back to my hard earned first run through and said hello to them all in hospital :sad:

Not sure that my opinion is worth much BUT I increased the capacity to 11 so that I could have ten troops and one passenger(I found that in the DLC missions if I filled all slots the game would crash in the first mission or any rescue mission). In the DLC the extras were superimposed on top of each other and usually in a place where I could not use them. So I restarted the mission and eventually found them usefully on the map In EW. However in the Exalt missions I could not seem to use them as they always appeared outside the pink "wire" and I was stuck with my six but if I used my best troops no big deal. Must admit I like shooting traitors.
  15. I had no problems with increasing "small item" to 3 successfully using Resource hacker so your problem lies elsewhere IMHO I only modded the XCOM EW exe and nothing else. My problem was I tried to give majors a perk choice..: (
