Total CK No0b here. My Character and Ivy (Companion Ivy v6) and a bunch of NPC's all have the bug. Ivy is an ESM and when I try and load it along with Fallout.esm CK chokes. I just started using 'Dream Skin' which is _also_ an .ESM. After a half dozen tries, I have yet to get the file list to populate without an issue. Any help would be stellar. I got it to run, using JUST the FO.esm but now, second name in the list (anna secord) it chokes. Do I have to shut the program down every time it chokes? Is there a way to make the damn thing stop a process? <sigh> This is like working in Turbo-Pascal, only flakier.

Relieved or PISSED? Not really sure... Suddenly having crash issues all across the board. Tested everything again, CPU, GPU, MB, RAM, Power. Got an intermittent failure in one RAM stick. Replaced the stick and crossing my fingers that solves the issue. So, yeah, looks like it _was_ hardware. :confused: :huh:

The issue is unique to SSE. I played ESO with maxed video settings for over 2 hours with no problem. I normally run FO4 and SWTOR on max with no hiccups. I ran both to test for over an hour. I stress tested the system with Heaven, and the ROG test package. (Asus ROG 'strix' MB) I ran the Aura test package for the Asus GPU on highest settings for my system. (300FPS 1920x1080) After 20 minutes the GPU was at 60' and maintained that temp. Memtest shows RAM properly as 32 GB and running within parameters. When I checked Event viewer the only error shown is 'error 41' which says the system was not shut down properly. I am baffled.

This is driving me crazy. I started having hard CTD's that would take the PC down while playing or starting, Skyrim SE. First started right about April 1. (go figger) Thought it was the video card. Stress test shows good. (Heaven and Asus tests) Steam Game Steam installed on secondary drive. No other Steam game is giving an issue. Skyrim fully updated. SKSE newest. Vortex installed Win 10 Full update. Video Card (1050 Ti) full update Game won't start without using SKSE. The load screen just cycles every time I hit 'play' and it goes back to the same screen, without it. I'm using the silverlock,org not the Steam port) The Steam SKSE kept crashing after saying. "Unable to find TESV" I pulled ALL mods except the Update (2nd on load order as recommended) and it still Crashes, often within a minute. Max I've played since around April 1 is 90 minutes before it crash and burns. I reinstalled the game (a bunch of times) Checked integrity via Steam Made everything 'run as Admin.' I'm stumped. HAAAALP!!!

Having a very similar issue. It's been happening for a week or so, since I added "Daughter of Cold Harbor" for LAL. pulling it didn't change the issue. I stripped all mods out except for a few, to try and ID the issue with no luck. The mods I kept were script and body related since I couldn't see them affecting the issue. Checked integrity of files via Steam. Cleaned everything with SSSEdot and rebuilt the Bashed patch with Wrye. I'm stumped. HDD is good, RAM test is good. This is a new problem that started Mar31 or Apri1. It only happens with games that go online or, 'reach out' like Steam games. Anything I play on the PC plays fine. It's not AVG, total shut down and test, no joy.

It only happens with a game that 'calls online.' I can play FO3 and New Vegas for hours with no issue. (I have original CD versions of both games).

Starting Mar 31 or May 1 every time I load a game I get a crash that takes my System down and forces a reboot as soon as the game starts. (Win 10 - Steam launcher) All my steam Games, including Fallout are experiencing a Total System Crash on Load. I'm looking for suggestions to help. I've cleaned everything. Ensured all proper game ports are open Made sure AVG has exceptions for the game launchers All drivers are updated. I'm losing my mind. Totally out of ideas. Any suggestions at all?

I got all the way through Anchorage but when I 'returned' to the pod, all I got was a white screen. It froze like that until I forced the game to close. (about 5 minutes) Is the Mod patch still around?

Been marvelous. I've reinstalled all the mods I had, built the Bash Patch and been playing issue free for about 15 hours. Now, if I can just find where the Family lives, (BloodTies Quest) I'm totally good. Thanks again.

Thanks. for the tips. Only played about two hours but, it has been smooth. Considering it was crashing every few minutes, that is a GREAT improvement. ;) I thought I'd kept Hotfix so I'll reinstall ASAP. Cheers.

EXCELSIOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I havea weird solution. Here is what I did. I added the two lines to the .ini fall for multi-core CPU's. No Joy. Used Wrye Flash and FP3Edit to clean everything and adjust ESM's to proper order. No joy. Added the 'kill.bat' for the crashes AND the 'fullscreen' mod. Still no joy, crash 1 minute into starting a new game, right after. "Are you a boy or girl." screen locked but I could exit the game. I kept hearing a weird 'boing' noise, every 30 seconds, during this period. Exactly 30 seconds. No idea what it is/was. I ripped out a bunch of Mods, SCC and EV Companions and everything on my LO List that is present but not numbered. STILL no joy. Then, on a whim, I started a new game and ran the whole intro (including Ron Perlman's Amazing War never changes speech) _and_ picked 'Girl; for sex. It ran. Not sure why but it did and I am happy. I have not built a Bash Patch yet but I will add stuff and try running the game until I find (hopefully) the culprit. The following is my Load order, that worked. I lsot my game in a HD crash. I reloaded from a backed up .zips but I have the LO wrong. Issues: Textures for RMF are missing even though I installed them. Some other tetxtures (like Clepp Teleport home) flicker constantly. Dogmet does it too. I also have some Mods that no longer show up on Nexus. Crashes. Yeah, a lot. Usually after fast travel of entering a new cell. I did a Bashed Patch in wrye Flash but no joy. Cleaned everything with x-edt. Again, no joy. "he thing that is letting you down is your processor, amd phenom have a very bad history. the irony is, the phenom 1 was my very first processor and funnily enough the gtx 560 was my first gpu, the gpu was pretty solid, but the processor was not, but then upgrading to an i5 2500k was like night and day, it completely blew the phenom out the water. so i would recommend upgrading prcessor. in regards to fallout 4, that dont mean nothing if it is not modded, its also built on the same engine as skyrim special edition, so they will pretty much have the same expected performance. i am also very curios how you are getting solid 60 fps framerate in urban areas in fallout 4, extremely curios in fact, as my far more powerful system cannot do urban areas (gtx 1070, i7 7700k), i have also seen people with gtx 980ti struggling to run urban areas (which was in fact on a vanilla game) and that gpu is far more powerful then the 560ti. this is strictly down to a very poorly optimized system on bethesda behalf. but still, what magic have you done to get a solid 60fps in urban areas (more specifically places like diamond city)" When I am gaming I have a pattern that goes WAAAAAAAY back to the days of P1's and 486's. I run Win 7 and I am running a 'less then stellar' system by today's standards. I open Task Manager and shut down everything that I won't need. The only programs that are still running when I am done, relate directly to; The game I'm running, Windows operations, AVG, and Steam. All auto updates are shut off, drop box, and anything else running in the background is 'put to sleep.' When I am done, I have 85% (on average) of system resources free to run the game. I don't worry about FPS or RAM because I'm dedicating all system resources to the game and it runs, very fast. I spend about one minute setting my machine to 'Game Mode' and when I am done playing, I reboot the system and continue on with my day.

Looking for some advice and possible solutions. Is there a 'master list' Load Order out there, like there used to be for Fallout? Recently experiencing a rash of problems with SE 1) Can't buy from vendors. (this one is driving me crazy.) When the option 'what do you have for sale comes up, if activated, it pauses for a second then drops back into the dialogue menu without ever showing the buy and sell screen. Have tried numerous vendors with the same result. 2) When I start a game session, I have to open my inventory menu or I can only move at very slow speed. 3) at random times, I will suddenly 'freeze in place.' my movement 'stutters' and takes multiple button pushes to move. This usually goes away after a minute or so. The game continues at standard speed and movement. It is ONLY the Character that is affected. 4) Brand new, Freeze and crash when attacking. What I have done to try and solve the issue: Tried starting a new character. Did not change any of the issues. Made sure NMM is up to date. it wss Use SSEDIT to clean all Masters and Mods. Use LOOT to adjust Load Order. I have also manually adjusted Mods to ensure the LO is the same as what LOOT has shown. Tried wiping the .ini file (which seems to have made things worse with the addition of Freeze and crash during combat. ) My system: It's older but it plays FO4 and SWTOR with no problems and it had no issues with SE until recently. (80+ hours on SE) Win 7 AMD Penom II 955 quad core. 16Gb rRAM Nvidia GTX 560 with 2 GB 2 TB free space on Game HD. No , I used a save before I made her a follower. I did exit the Barrow after she got stuck, in hopes she would follow. I went back to Whiterun (on foot) and she did not show up. That is when I said 'screw it' and uninstalled the mod. Going to the earlier save did solve the problem of the follower glitch but, I would like to know how to remedy it in future, should it happen again. On a totally different note, do you know the best Program to unpack a BSA to edit a file inside? I'm probably going to wreck my game but, thought I would try my hand at some creative changes of a few minor things in a Mod that bug the Hades out of me. LOL

I interacted with her, 'called her', even pushed her out of the corner. I tried 'placeatme ' using her ID and, no joy. I also tried firing her but, she didn't react to that, either. She seemed frozen. So, I uninstalled the mod, and reinstalled it. When I tried to make her a follower again, I got the message "It seems you already have someone with you." When I tried to get her to follow me, thinking the Mod had still listed her as follower but, again,no joy. That is when I tried to get a different follower, (Lydia the Housecarl) I again received the 'seems you already have a follower" message. So, I'm thinking the Follower flag has not reset. BUT, I'm not sure where to find it or, if I can manually reset it. I DID get a workaround, sort of, I jumped back about 15 hours to an old savgame. It solved the problem but I'd like to know how to fix it if the problem occurs again.

Ran into a problem with a custom Follower, Lolidia getting stuck in a corner. After trying a lot of different things I gave up and uninstalled, then reinstalled, the Mod. However I can't make her a follower again because I 'already have a Follower.' I don't. I'm assuming there is a 'flag' somewhere that the game checks to see if I have a follower that has not reset and, I have no clue at all how to find it. Any help would be appreciated.

I have two consoles and my PC that I can game on. What the whole CK thing did, is guarantee I won't play Bethesda products on console, ever again. I have FO and Skyrim (Original edition) for the console for fun, time wasting and trying out new styles on Vanilla but there is no way in Hades I'm going to have them stuffed with crap I did not want. I think the CK is a poorly thought idea and it has NOT improved my opinion of Bethesda, and that is sad because I like Beth-Soft games.

Seems my problem is ":Archive Invalidated." I turned it off and now, the game loads and runs fine. Weird. Never had a problem with it before.
