  1. Just wanted to thank you guys again for your great work on bringing these old favourites back. Just yesterday I got to play both EU Gas Station and EU Demolition on stream. It was a pleasure to be back on them in both cases. http://www.twitch.tv/miss_jamball/v/4469875 - 7 mins for EU Gas Station, 3 hrs 30 mins for (Swarming) EU Demolition. Had a lot of fun.
  2. Oh heck, awesome. Even if you guys never fix the bad tiles I'm still using these maps, thank you :D Am I able to plug in that Patch and start playing with these right away (acknowledging of course the bad textures, flank bugs, etc) or are there more steps to this magic?
  3. That would be amazing. I don't think Demolition shoebox would even be balanced for Long War but damn it, I want to play it anyway :) I will be keeping my eyes on this!
  4. Oh goodness, no! :D I will use the excuse of being too busy to have not tried it yet. But really, I've been so busy with my three campaigns I've yet to try your random bombs or anything non-standard like that. I like the concept though, it's always good to vary the maps up a bit. Nice! That'll save me a lot of grenade throws :D You could make people like Military Ammo and Waterfront Warehouse and similar maps more by punching pre-made holes in the sides of the shipping crates that dot those maps. Then you could use them as little bunkers for firefights. Imagine Military Ammo if all the shipping crates were useable as firing bunkers... totally different map! :o AMAZING! And especially considering wghost's also excellent work in the next post... !!! Could you guys really bring back my favourite missing maps from EU?! Not even joking, I miss Demolition and EU Gas Station so much (Gas Station was my first map ever when I loaded up EU release =] ). And Museum is hard as nails but I miss it too, it was very unique compared to the other maps and I'd like to play it on with Long War's new toys. Oh my god, Swarming on Demolition... please let it be true, I want to run MECs down that stupid little back alley so bad :D EDIT: Alternate LZs on those maps... I only just considered it! You could start on the other side of the bridge on Museum... or under the bridge... or, on Demolition, an alt LZ on the third floor of the construction building in the corner! :D
  5. Fantastic work in here. Out of interest, are you able to expand the boundaries of existing maps? Tank Warehouse for example would, I think, function extremely well if its boundaries were pushed out 2 or 3 tiles on all sides and some openings were created, opening up a long 'back alley' around the walls much like the old Enemy Unknown version of Demolition. Being able to add ladders to the exteriors of the map's watchtowers and use their rooftops as sniper spots would also be a very fun addition to an already quite difficult map, I feel. Also out of curiosity - are you able to bring back those old maps that were left out in Enemy Within? Demolition, Museum, EU Gas Station? Some good maps that could pad out Long War's pool a little more, and very interesting maps at that.

Fantastic work as always, wghost - I feel a bit out of place commenting without being on the same technical level as you guys but it's fascinating stuff to read through and the results look great. Looking forward to having random canisters and drop-ins when everything's polished; it'd really be the last step to spice up those council missions completely. Thanks for your efforts!
  7. Re: your alien scaling Amineri, how small can you make them? You could make little weaker Chrysallids, podded with a queen Lid that spawns them for some nice swarming action :devil:
