Reopening the topic, because it's happening, again. Was fine for a good while, I thought I had it solved but I don't.

It was happening with ANY save type, even hard ones, I should have mentioned that. However I some how stumbled upon and fixed the issue. It was something to do with one of the animation styles I had chosen with XM32. I discovered this by mistake, when I realized I didn't even like the "First person weapon draw" animations, and redid it. All of the crashing just vanished. I tried to reinstall Open Cities but the crashing began once more so, since not having that in either, all crashing has stopped. This is how I solved it for myself, hopefully anyone having issues like mine can go in and double check their XM32 Animations.

So I've recently started playing again. Things were fine, then I noticed that once out in the world, in most areas, once I load up a game from a quicksave, an autosave or loading on dying. My game instantly Crashed to Desktop. I load into the game fine, and can run around and do things just fine, and in SOME areas, loading up a save doesn't crash me. Places like the entrance to Riverwood, and some interior places are OK, but more often than not I'm met with a CTD if I'm killed in combat outside, or quickly load up a save from quicksave or autosave that I just had happen a few moments prior. Any help would be appreciated. So, I've tried this on Skyrim Nexus, Fallout 4 Nexus and a few others. When clicking manual download, view requirements, or anything that should have a popup window. I get a little window with a Red Header reading "An Error Occurred" I have a screen-shot of this for you to see. Edit by Dark0ne for those reading this and ignoring everything I've written because you can't be bothered to read the replies for an answer: This is happening because you are either browsing the site using HTTPS, or you're using a plugin in your browser (like Everywhere SSL) that does this for you. Nexus Mods does not currently support SSL so trying to force it to use SSL isn't going to work and will not improve your security in any way, shape or form on Nexus Mods. The fix for this is to disable any plugins that try and force SSL on Nexus Mods and ensure that you are browsing the site via http://www.nexusmods.com and NOT https://www.nexusmods.com. If you would like a fully secure login please login on the forums. This will also log you into the Nexus sites themselves. Our new site redesign will have SSL enabled by default but the redesign is still many weeks away from launching so unless you want to wait until it's out (weeks), YOU will need to make some changes in your browser for Nexus Mods to work for you.

Hey everyone, sorry for no reply for some time. So here's the bottom line, I fixed the issue. This is what happened... I got Fallout 4, and THAT game, was suddenly doing what Skyrim had been doing. I couldn't believe it... I wondered to myself what it could possibly be... remembering that Skyrim and Fallout 4 Share the same game engine they developed FOR Skyrim I looked around online some more. Long story short, I changed the drive both games were installed on, from my E to my C drive. While all my OTHER games work on E, it seemed for SOME reason Skyrim and Fallout 4 didn't like being on that drive. After switching to C? They work perfectly with no issues. The only other thing I did, was turned off the Drive power management option that turns the drives off after a bit if they're not in use. It was either the drive switch, or that, that fixed my issue finally.

Uninstalled the game. Reinstalled the game, reinstalled all of my mods, none of which say they cause this sort of issue. The problem is still happening. I've got no idea what else to do.... And this is the only game doing this to me, I've tried out nearly every other game I own, including other, more graphically intensive games, and they all run just fine with out causing this issue.

So, I switched out Drivers. Things seemed fine for awhile, but it happened again. I installed OneTweak the Mod here on The Nexus, and I thought running it in Windowed full Screen would help. But no, it happened again. All sound but music and ambient sound cut out, then after 5-10 seconds it all freezes up, then 20 second later, it all starts up all over again as if clearing out. This has never happened to me before with this game. And I've had it for a good long time now.

Thanks for the Reply. I'm running windows 7 64 bit. No it's none of the Fans otherwise the heat would be building here or there. That being said most of what you said didn't seem to do much, so I tried something a friend said. I rolled back to a previous set of Drivers. I've played now for 2 hours with out it being an issue or showing any signs of freeze up, but will update this if it happens. I need more time to test, but I think it may have fixed it. The Drivers that WERE possibly causing the issue were AMD 15.7 . I've rolled back to the older 14.12 and so far it's working well. If I play more later, and I probably will, and the session goes with out issue, then we know what it was.

Can ANYONE help me? Or is this thread just going to be ignored forever?

It happened again tonight. I was playing for awhile, 90% of normal sounds stopped save for the Ambiant sounds and music. Then everything froze and wouldn't respond, 30 seconds later it all kicks back in. I checked my CPU and GPU Tempatures, both are in the Green even under load (CPU was only 52c, My CPU's Highest temp can go upto 90c before it shuts off) (GPU was only 61c under load, can get upto 125c according to specs before it causes problems). I've got no idea what's causing this, can -Anyone- Help me at all please?

So, recently, I reinstalled Skyrim and decided to give it another play. I've been able to run Skyrim just fine for awhile, heck, ever since it came out. I eventually got the GotY Edition for myself. I do use Mods but have very few installed. The ones I have are as follows. Alternate Start - Live a new Life Unofficial Patches for the Main Gamer, DLC and the High Rez Texture Pack that comes on Steam SkyUI SKSE Orcs are Strong No Bethesta Intro Skill Config Cloaks of Skyrim/Cloaks of Skyrim Dawnguard Mouse Fix (Full Screen) - I plan to get rid of this one, it didn't fix my issue with that Better Females by Bella So with all this said, the issue started tonight as I played. After running around some, the sound effects in Skyrim stop, only the music and background sounds continue such as Rain and rushing water, then, Everything freezes up. I can't alt-tab out, I can't hit ANYTHING at all. I was SO close to rebooting my machine the first time, but after 45 seconds, it all cleared up. I figured it to be a fluke and moved on About 1 1/2 hours later it happened again, THIS Time I could alt tab out, by my system basically froze up, I could move the mouse, hear sounds and click in a few windows, but my explorer bar didn't react at all either. Again, I was close to rebooting, but then it all cleared up again. I tabbed back into the game and it was running fine once more. Skyrim is the ONLY game doing this, as I tried out a few others tonight. Fallout NV, Guild Wars 2, GTA V which is WAY more intensive on my system than Skyrim, and I played them all for a good while. My video card is keeping cool under 62c easily even under load, I have enough memory so that's not all being taken up, and the processor isn't going at 100%. I have a feeling it is Skyrim, but there's some sorta fix I need, file, or something I have to do that I haven't done yet. I'd list my Specs, but needless to say, I blow away all recommended requirements and then some, as the launcher detects my Hardware and sets it all to Ultra. I can run on Ultra at 60 FPS and ultra smooth. Can anyone help me please? Thank you.
