  1. That was ridikalussly cool. Why can't my Skyrim be like that?
  2. Can anyone explain what this means to the less educated (me)?
  3. I figured out there's a Toggle Lights key which helps see things. Still, if anyone knows a way to adjust gamma I'd like to hear it so I won't have to keep toggling lights on and off :P.
  4. This may seem like an odd question but does anyone know how to brighten the image in the render/preview window the CK (aka increase gamma). It's really dark right now and it makes it hard to use. Don't tell me to brighten my monitor either :P.
  5. So does anyone know what to do about a disappearing xWMAEncoder.exe? Running as admin didn't help.
  6. While I didn't read the entire thread (it being 9 pages o.O) and I'm not sure if my points have already been made, I think people should read the Contribution Agreement more carefully before they start panicking and foaming at the mouth. In Section 2a, the agreement reads: You grant to Valve the following rights, which Valve may exercise or not in its sole discretion: You grant to Valve a worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, assignable right and license to (a) use, copy, distribute, publicly display, publicly perform, modify, and create derivative works from Your Contribution in any media, (b) identify you as the source of the Contribution, and © sublicense these rights, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. The 'non-exclusive' means that even if you decide to post your mod on the Steam Workshop and they do decide to charge for it, you are still free to post it for free on a site like The Nexus. Part 2b of the agreement reads: You retain the right to use the Contributions as You wish, even in the context of another game. However, this Agreement does not grant You any rights to Valve materials, and You may not make any use of the Contribution that is inconsistent with the rights You have granted to Valve herein. For example, You may not license the Contribution to a third party on an exclusive basis. What this means is that although you can do whatever you wish with your mod, you cannot take away Steam's right to use it if you have posted it on their Workshop. The only part that worries me about the agreement is part of Section 3 which reads: You also acknowledge and agree that other users, and Valve itself, may create other works that are similar to Your Contribution(s), and that Valve’s payment obligations under this Section 3 only apply with respect to the distribution of actual copies of Your Contribution(s). I was wondering if anyone could clarify this. Does this meant that Valve and modify your mod, charge for it, and then pay not pay you because it's not technically your contribution anymore? I doubt they'd do that since it's pretty evil but clarification would be nice. Anyway, what the Workshop seems like to me is the possibility for modders to be able to make money off their mods. To me that sounds like a good thing (especially for mods with thousands of hours of input). This doesn't mean that all mods will cost you money, it's just a new opportunity for modders.
  7. Not sure how hard this is but I was wondering if someone could create a mod to fix the fact that you can't ride a carriage if over-encumbered. It doesn't make that much sense that you can ride a horse while overburdened but not a horse-drawn carriage. As somehow who's trying to avoid fast travel (besides carriages) in the vein of Morrowind, this would be much appreciated. Thanks!
