  1. There are examples where I want to load a Fallout 4 esp after another Fallout 4 esp, but there seems to be a hidden rule that I cannot find nor remove. For example: I need to load "Rebuild" after "Build High" in Fallout 4 to properly deal with conflict, but Vortex says there is a rule that "Build High" has to go after "Rebuild". There is no "Master" issue, and there is no rule I can find that matches what Vortex is insisting is true. What is going on, and how can I fix it?
  2. I remember there being a tweak in Warband to allow for joining a side in a fight without a pre-existing relationship to either party. I'm wondering if such a tweak exists for Bannerlord.
  3. Considering how mods can be broken by updates, I'm wondering if there is a way to start No Man's Sky in offline mode without updating until mods can be updated accordingly, like Skyrim can be?
  4. Pretty much, but I'm also looking for a simple and direct way of creating mods, without all the extra software, etc. that I typically see for creating mods for this game.
  5. I'm thinking about creating some No Man's Sky mods, but I don't know how to affect specific parts without affecting others, nor how to update mods to compensate for game updates. The current example is extending the base boundary value, but I don't know how create or update mods, much less targeted mods. There are tools for this, but it seems that they need to be updated with the game, and it seems that they haven't been. Therefore, it would be useful to have more generally applicable, rather than specific instructions that would become obsolete. This might be available elsewhere, but I haven't been able to find it. If you have, please paste a link to those locations below.
  6. Never mind; I have a different issue, and there doesn't seem to be an option to rename or remove this thread.
  7. I recently switched over from NMM, and I have all my mods in the new folders. However, the Mod Names are all the file names, rather than the labels they have on the Nexus site, the way NMM does. How do I import the Nexus names into Vortex like NMM did?
  8. I figured out that my mods staging folder was set to the wrong folder for the other games for some reason. I corrected it, and I can use Move Deployment on the other games now.
  9. For some reason, Vortex only lets me use Symlink Deployment for certain games like Witcher 3 and Kingdom Come, which doesn't work on my system for any of those games. No Man's Sky lets me use "Move deployment", which works fine, but is the only one that doesn't force me to use Symlink Deployment.
  10. How do I access Hardlink Deployment? I only have "Symlink Deployment" available in the dropdown menu.
  11. Even though I understand that I can't expect a game with this scope, and this many potential mods to work perfectly, I get burned out on all the bugs, especially the CTDs. I don't know where they come from, and I don't know how to fix them, I can't see them coming, and I don't know what to do about them. I enjoy being able to tinker so much with so much, but I am burned out on trying to figure out so many issues with such little info to go on. This happens to me every once and a while, especially since this is my relaxation during time off, and I wonder if anyone else ever feels the same way.
  12. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/trackingcentre for the direct link. It's around the bottom of the "MODS" dropdown menu.
  13. I think I've partially figured out the issue. In the folder Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Skyrim, there are two files that store load order, loadorder.txt and plugins.txt. The default Skyrim load order sorter changes plugins.txt, but not loadorder.txt, and when NMM loads, it overwrites plugins.txt with the load order from loadorder.txt. However, if loadorder.txt and its backups are deleted, loadorder.txt is created from plugins.txt when NMM is opened, and the load order determined by plugins.txt is preserved. Since I never bothered to check this before I had an issue with this, is this usual behavior? I'm trying to figure out why NMM can't change the load order, since it used to be able to.

  15. That doesn't seem to be the issue here, from what I can tell. I managed to get the Data Files load order sorter to work, as far as I can tell. However, when I load NMM, it changes the load order to what it was set to a while back, and does not let me change any files. This is for all mods, existing and ones I try installing now, and mod dependencies have nothing to do with it. If I uninstall and reinstall a mod in NMM, that becomes the new position for that mod in the load order, and THAT new load order overrides the load order I set up in the Skyrim Data Files mod load order.

  17. I would put this in the NMM threads, but those threads are locked. I can change the load order in the default Skyrim "Data Files" interface, but when I load NMM, it changes the load order to what it was set to a while back, and does not let me change any files. This is for all mods, existing and ones I try installing now, and mod dependencies have nothing to do with it.
  18. I recently ran into another bug where Steam seemed to think that Skyrim wasn't already installed, even though it was. So I went through the reinstallation procedure (after copying my settings files, such as SkyrimPrefs, etc. to restore after the installation process), and after restoring my settings files, I was able to play Skyrim again. However, when I try to change the load order using the Skyrim mod organizer, I can move the mods around in the organizer, but no change is saved. And when I open the NMM, I can't move any mod up or down. However, if I manually change the load order files, I can change the load order. So why can't the official Skyrim mod organizer or NMM reorganize my mod list order?
  19. How do I search my tracked mods in the new NexusMods site? I'm not sure where to put this exactly, but the new tracking centre doesn't seem to allow searching.
  20. I can't get followers to lay on preexisting beds, but I can on a Hunterborn "Hunter's Bedroll". In fact, no NPC seems to be able to lie down on beds. I think the problem has something to do with the beds themselves, but I haven't been able to trace a cause.

  22. The only way I know is to use the "Debug Menu". That should allow to to toggle the options, after which you can turn the debug mode off.
