  1. Since January 20th, none of the mods I've downloaded are showing either as downloaded on the mod page (so I can't endorse them) nor are they showing up under my "downloaded mods" page.

Searched around for a specific place to report site issues (there was a GitHub page at one point where I could) and now I'm not sure where. Here? Somewhere else? Any info would be appreciated.

Edit: I just checked and two mods I downloaded this morning (because when I downloaded them prior to today weren't showing I had) are now showing downloaded as of today on my downloaded mods but not on the mod itself. And the question about site issue reporting still stands.

  2. I have the Steam version and the work around from Lampen worked for me. After launching the game from the RDR2.exe in the game folder, I did get an error message from Rockstar about the Social Club and wrong account, but I hit okay and then "play on Steam" and the game and the mods are working perfectly. Thanks so much for this!

  3. Not to resurrect a very old thread capriciously, but it's now October, 2020, and it's happening to me. Has anyone found a fix for this yet? Does anyone know if the Steam version of DAI has fixed it? Tried a mod to skip the whole routine, but unfortunately it didn't work for me.

The forced to Vortex migration (let's not talk about how Vortex works, don't get me talking on that ahahah); staff couldn't care less about mod authors; the new slow/fast download page popped and when people voice their concerns, premium fan-people are there to shame those poor souls, and security could be better. So glad I never paid anything.
Next time, don't take more than one month to tell your users (you know, people who pay your bills) about eventual stolen data and security flaws.

They sent out notification in the form of a message on Nexus over 4 weeks ago and forced the password change for everyone that logged out and back in at that time, and recommended that everyone make the change at that time. I know, as I still have the message in my notifications, and I posted a public service announcement about it on the mod FB group I am a moderator for. This is just a follow up to catch anyone that blithely ignored the first announcement, and give more details. So they did not wait a month, by any means.

Also, I don't use Vortex, so you can't really claim people are forced to use it. They aren't.

I'm not sure what notification you are talking about. If it's this one here , there's not one word about a security breach in it. Do you have something different?

I found your cleverly hidden updates, BTW. Na Na na na na.

Lovely. Searching by author was something I used fairly frequently.
  6. A pic would help, but it sounds like you may have hit what is referred to as the "Magic Threshold." It could be something else, but without a visual reference, I'm taking a guess here. Try inactivating three or four mods you can live without and see if that corrects the situation.

  7. Is there somewhere available where we can get an earlier version of NMM? For some reason, and totally unlike myself, I didn't save the earlier download someplace safe. I don't use NMM for any of the Fallout games or Dragon Age, but I did for Skyrim.

As this new version was reinstalling my 96 Skyrim mods, it closed due to an error with something to do with Dark Souls at about mod # 42. I don't even have Dark Souls. And right now I don't have the time to be patient enough to try to troubleshoot this issue. So the upshot of it is, I completely uninstalled this new version and won't use it.

However, such extreme and illogical behavior of death threats and hate mail is pretty reprehensible and immature--and you're right, stupid.

*edit* Found a previous version and installed it, so I'm a happy camper again. :D

*second edit* Wasn't quite so happy when I discovered I had to completely uninstall and reinstall Skyrim though. However, it's done now, after 3 hours. Phew.

  8. So I did some running around last night and visited both Folgunthur and Lost Prospect Mine, and indeed, they have the "green outs" in them, although, oddly Folgunthar wasn't nearly as bad as Lost Prospect Mine and Angarvunde where the green was blindingly bright. I'm thinking about uninstalling every mod I have, starting a new game and seeing what they look like. Maybe that will help pinpoint the culprit that's causing this. However, I'm not sure it bothers me enough at this point to do that, everything else looks fantastic and that's a lot of uninstalling and reinstalling going on. ;D

  9. Oh, you are awesome, KOOL! I think what I'm going to do is tmm 1 and fast travel to the places you listed and see if the same effect happens in them, too. I imagine it will. I'm wondering what caused these lights to go bonkers in this reinstall of my game, when it never happened before, because I'm essentially running the same mods I was before (of course, a lot of them have been updated). Time for more investigating. Thanks for all the help! I'll report back on what I discover.

  10. This particular dungeon in the pics is Angarvunde, but I was galloping around so much this weekend, I can't recall the other. When I get home from work tonight, I'll console tmm 1 and fast travel to some of the other sites and see if I can find the other(s). And I haven't touched the .ini settings yet, other than to change the grass textures for Skyrim Flora Overhaul. That may be next. Again, thanks for the help!

  11. Hi, KOOL, how are you? Thanks for your help and for trying to investigate this! I'm really at a loss as to what could be causing this--I'm completely kerflummuxed at this point.

Yes, so far I've run into this in two dungeons, but the really weird thing is it doesn't show up in every dungeon. And it's in patches throughout the dungeons where I have found this effect. BFW and I thought it had something to do with the lighting, so I removed all (and I mean all) mods, textures and meshes that affected lighting, candles, sconces, etc., etc., that I could determine might cause this (excluding BSA's and esp's of course of mods that have nothing to do with the above mentioned items) and it still didn't affect it or make it better. :wallbash: And you can actually see the delineation between the normal looking dungeon and the greened-out part of the dungeon. (P.S. the next two posts are mine of pics showing this due to size limitations.)

  12. Bad, BFW, really bad . . . ;D But you are the friend that helped me to the point where we could identify it as a texture issue, so you're forgiven.

Too bad we haven't been able to pinpoint the exact cause, though. I'm still thinking it just may be Bethesda's HD pack. Wondering if anyone else in the entire world has had this happen to them, or if I'm just unique?

  13. I wish it was a skooma problem. ;D A friend of mine and I have determined it's some sort of texture issue. I've methodically uninstalled every possible mod or texture pack that affects candles, lanterns, lighting, clutter, rocks, etc., etc. and it has made no difference. VERY frustrating.

So my best guess is that it has something to do with the Bethesda HD texture packs that are automatically installed in the game. I think. I'm really hating the thought of uninstalling and reinstalling my game but it may come down to that. This is a thumbnail with every possible thing I can think of that might cause this uninstalled.

  14. Thanks for the reply, KOOL! It was kinda late last night (and I had been up since 5 a.m.) so I was being lazy and just used NMM to uninstall, but I didn't take the time to go into the game folders and make sure things were really and truly gone. I did take enough time to investigate the game folders in so far as to see if the meshes and textures had any items in them that would directly effect rocks, lighting, ruins and dungeons and didn't find anything that would cause this (I think).

I'm using the RCRN Classic esp for Lanterns in Skyrim (which has been my favorite so far), but I may try one of the other esps just to see if it affects the color. I have just done a rebuild on my computer, so it's all new goodies as far as graphics card and motherboard, so I actually downloaded COT again (rather than use my saved-on-disk version of the mod). I'll keep messing with it and see if I can figure out if it's one of the re-texture mods.

And if I can't figure it out--sunglasses for Signi! :geek:

  15. Okay, so I'm having an issue where lighting in the dungeons is an incredibly bright green, almost too bright to see, but only in certain areas and the rest of the area looks normal. I've uninstalled every mod I could think of that might cause this effect, and came up with no culprit. I've got Lanterns of Skyrim and Climates of Tamriel installed (but I've had these mods in my previous installations of Skyrim and never had this problem.) I also have a number of texture mods installed--which were the first I uninstalled to see if they were causing this issue, and it made no difference. When I changed Climates of Tamriel to have the darker dungeons (not the hardcore), it definitely toned the brightness down but didn't get rid of the green, and I personally don't care for the darker version of the dungeons. It has to be a lighting issue, but I'm at point non plus as to what could be causing this.

If anyone has any suggestions or advice, would love to hear about it. If I can't fix this, I may have to get Signi (my NPC) a pair of sunglasses. ;D

  16. Having the same issues. Everytime I try to download mods from any of the sites (DAO, FONV, FO3--I've been testing to see if I can download mods from any of the Nexus sites), I get immediately switched over to a D-Link search webpage.
