  1. I am a bit confused. Do you use the f4se_loader.exe from FO4 main folder directly, because you first mentioned Vortex? You say you get the message when giving the f4se_launcher admin rights? Where does this message come from? Could you post a screenshot? The only message when starting the launcher as admin should be from Windows asking if you want to allow that the app can make changes to your system. Starting an app with admin rights is not per se bad. Sometimes a user misses some needed rights like write permissions. As I said I start the f4se_launcher as admin without problems. The only message (every time) is from Windows. But I believe that normally the launcher should not need admin rights. Maybe it's simply because you have write protected files in your FO4 installation where data need to be written to. You could try to disable write protection for your installation folder and see whether F4SE works without error message.
  2. Can you start the game through the f4se_loader directly? If so, it might be more a problem of Vortex. But besides I gave it admin rights long time ago without negative side effects and perhaps it works for you.
  3. For Fallout 4 maybe this one: "Mysteries of the Commonwealth - Chapter One Luxi". I would really like to see more parts. Also I liked the "Sector V" series, even when the story is a bit crude. For all games perhaps "Kill Strelok", because these few words contain the whole main quest line of STALKER - SoC. (I am aware of the special feature this task has).
  4. You have the problem of missing sliders only with modded outfits, right? When these outifits are converted Bodyslide you normally don't have to add them to a dropdown list. They should simply be there. It can happen that you will have to add your body sliderset to an outfit group in order to make use of it. Clipping can mostly be handled in Outfit Studio with inflate/ deflate brushes. Can you give an example of an outifit that is not working for you? And perhaps a screenshot of your Bodyslide.
  5. Hi, I am no Vortex user, but for me there would be some questions. Does this only happen when you start your game through Vortex and you can start it through the Fallout4.exe, Fallout4 Launcher, Steam (in case you have the Steam version) or the f4se_loader.exe (in case you have F4SE installed)? Are you on next-gen or pre next-gen with mods installed matching your game version? Especially F4SE and F4SE dependent mods. What happens when you try to start a completely unmodded game? Did you change the installation path or did you install the game in its default folders? Which mods do you use and are you inmidst a playthrough or do you try to start a new game with all mods enabled? With these information things might perhaps become clearer.
  6. Probably massively damaged or disabled precombines. You did not by chance use this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/90947 ? If so uninstall it. Next you could try this: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/46403?. Anyways your Fallout4.ini should have these entries under [General] (and the Fallout4Custom.ini shall not override these): bPreCulledObjectsEnabled=1 bUseCombinedObjects=1 bUsePreCreatedSCOL=1
  7. The Snappy House Kit has retaining walls under landscaping. Double sided. They are not 100% the same as in Sanctuary, but come very close. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/11639
  8. It will be hard to know which mod you can use at once and which ones must not be installed before you leave Vault111 the first. Mods for character creation might be save. For all others I would wait until exit Vault111. I know that there are more save mods, but why find out? You can go back to Vault111 any time if you want to use mod(s) that change it.
  9. You need the matching version of Looksmenu and F4SE for your game (pre next-gen or next-gen) and the game must be started through the f4se_loader.exe. When I remember right the Presets folder is created when you save your first preset. For Steam version you find it here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\F4SE\Plugins\F4EE\Presets. In case the installation with your mod manager fails you can still install Looksmenu and F4SE manually. For the second I recommend this anyway.
  10. I cannot say anything to Vortex as I use NMM. In any case you need to build your body and outfits with "Build Morphs" enabled first. Otherwise the ingame sliders won't appear. You say that you have checked the folders. That means you have a Sliders folder under: ...\Fallout 4\Data\F4SE\Plugins\F4EE. Within this folder you should find subfolders. In case you use CBBE (you need to use an adjustable body replacer) you find a folder called "CBBE.esp". Within you should find a file called sliders.json. This would be the ingame sliders from Looksmenu for CBBE. I write this for game version 163, but I believe version 984 is not different. If nothing helps you can still try a manual install of Looksmenu.
  11. These are three maps a texture can consist of. _d = diffuse map, _n = normal map, _s = specular map. You will find these where the textures are. A bit more information:
  12. It's from here: https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/17268
  13. Did you see this? https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/61144
  14. The so called next gen update broke the Fallout 4 Script Extender and with it every mod that depended on it. F4SE independent mods shouldn't be affected. The script extender and many mods are meanwhile updated. So the question next-gen or pre next-gen might depend on your mods. Do you want to use mods that are essential for you and not updated, yet you might want to stay on pre next-gen. If all your F4SE dependent "core mods" are updated you could give next-gen a try. Regarding an ESL limit I read somewhere that it might be around 2000. Never came even near that number. I run a bit more than 400 plugins without problems. Some people state that there even is a ba2 limit, but it doesn't seem clear if there is one and how many ba2s you can have. The performance impact of loose files depends on your rig, how big and how many the loose files are. I never compressed one of my mods and the game is still running fine. For me it's just as important that the precombines stay as intact as possible. Regarding the older frameworks I personally wouldn't use them any more if you aren't forced to by a mod.
  15. Good luck, but one question though. Is Fallout 4 your only Steam game affected by this error? If not, the problem might not be Fallout.
