I've just finished installing a very large mod order (Nolvus) on F: drive. OS drive (C:) is now in the red. Only OS there. Now C: is in red zone. Need to free up space. I keep recycle bin empty. Removed everything from desktop except shortcuts. Downloads folder kept empty (always), documents folder -nada. Web search not help = confusing, contradictory, and inaccurate info. . How do I get non essential stuff off c:? Like maybe the extra restore points, or old windows updates, yada? Whatever... :) Thank you all.

Looked. Didn't find anything useful among the many posts I read. How about this? Could I unpack the BSA, and load the results as loose files to get the (small) mod to work safely in SSE?

Problems with Reinstalling Oblivion
elanaahova2 replied to gamemaster79's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
@Striker -- Thank you very much -- appreciate your help. I couldn't find the UN installer on the disk... my bad. I found a post byBBen46. Perhaps this will help to successfully address my re-install woes. From now on (assuming I get it reinstalled) I'll do the dual install, so i have a safe backup already on my d drive. Again Thank you for trying. Greatly appreciated. - e Perhaps I should blow 5 dollars and purchase the steam version -- might this circumvent the disk issue (although I hate having steam running in background -- sucking up resources. Alas... Be well. -e PS love the comics! -

Problems with Reinstalling Oblivion
elanaahova2 replied to gamemaster79's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
Date of this post = November 2020. Oblivion GOTY re install help, please. On PC / win 10 pro / totally more that adequate hardware. I uninstalled > reinstalled several times > SUCCESSFULLY -- game ran fine, modded, etc. (Wrye BASH -- OBMM only for Darn UI). NO need for compatibility mode, yada. Ran like a dream right off the disk. Most recent re-install FAILED. Tried reinstalling Oblivion GOTY from cd. THIS TIME > I reinstall, set graphics options in vanilla set up screen, then hit the vanilla loader - game locks in process of showing launcher dialog box in upper left hand corner of monitor - or just CTD, (no Blue screen of death, just normal desktop.) Rinse -- repeat several times. I have spent several days web searching / yada seeking effective help. Summary of info from web sites: I manually deleted the oblivion.exe and some files/folders INSTEAD of letting Ob Un-installer do ALL of it. Nothing I've tried lets me re-install Oblivion. Apparently, there are bit's of Oblivion stuff remaining / registry / yada. Now, each time, I run Revo uninstaller (which runs game un-installer first, yada, and then cc cleaner. Still don't have all of old Oblivion off my system. Help please! :) ? How can I get ALL of prior install of Oblivion off my PC so disk will install properly? -------------------------------------- Already do this: Install on D drive, as Administrator. UAC not matter on D drive.
