  1. Question, on my fresh Skyrim install, I loaded the older save game. Saved a new slot. Install related mods. All the items that I had created before from the mods are gone. Is this normal? Am I not supposed to save a fresh save if I want to keep the items related to the mod?
  2. I am in the process of reinstalling a fresh new Skyrim. But how do you keep the items or housing from mods that you had in the previous installation? I assume this is the right way? Install Skyrim. NMM. Boss. Install all related mods. Load your previous save game. I think I made a mistake where I installed skyrim, did not load any mods. Then I loaded the previous save game and save a new copy. Installed related mods. But it seems all items or changes related to the mod is now all gone.
  3. I have been away from Skyrim somewhat. The last time I played Skyrim was around 6 months ago just before Dawnguard released. Since then I have upgraded my OS from Win 7 64bit to Win 8 Pro 64 bit. My Skyrim installation was on another drive, so the files was safe. I backup the saved games too. Skyrim still works in Win 8. I installed Dawnguard and the latest patch. It launches fine, but it seems to crash on Exit To Windows. I deactivated all my mods and still the same issue. Another issue with the old installation is Nexus Mod Manager doesn't recognize the mods that were already in the folder (Installed in Win 7 thru NMM). So now all the mod files are inside, but NMM doesn't seem to recognize them. I just install mods and overwrite the files, though I cannot seem to remove them, unless I do so manually. I did a fresh install on another folder and Dawnguard worked fine and exited to Windows without crashing. But my issue with the new installation is I can't seem to figure out how to retain the items and changes from mods that I had in my old Skyrim installation. For example new weapons and armor crafted from mods. I can't seem to figure out how the saved game + mods work. I installed Skyrim on another folder. Do I have to install all the mods, load the savegame, then do a new save? Cos I tried saving a clean non-mod-activated save, and when I load the fresh save game, all the mods and items from the mods are gone (Items crafted from new mods, items put in player homes, etc). Player houses doesn't recognize that I have been there. I am not very experienced with mods, but here are my questions: Anyway to get Dawnguard not to crash on Exit to Windows? What is the best way to do a fresh install of Skyrim, retain my existing mods without losing all the mod related gameplay? Anyway for NMM to recognize existing mods in old Skyrim folder? Or do I have to remove them manually? Thanks for the help. I can't get to get back to Skyrim.
  4. Did anyone manage to get a fix for this problem? I have the same issue. Even tried disabling all the mods in NMM, and same problem. It crashes on quit to desktop.
