Next time you might want to create an omod. I know I know it takes forever to create and lets not even talk about installing such a mod in less than an hour but once you can switch between different mods that alter the same files without having to go through dozens of mesh and texture folders to check filenames and back them up, you will happily accept the waiting time. Plus a 40 meg omod can come to 1.5 gig of uncompressed files, save that precious hard space! ;) Back on topic, even on my core i7 with 6 gig of ddr3 ram and a geforce 8900 gtx, I decided to go with qarl redimized since qarl + raevwd + 100 other mods = fps around 20 in exteriors. Although I have started to think that, since every time I am experiencing a bigger lag, I can hear my harddisk working, that maybe the bottleneck road.. -
Oh my god yes, I remember the great pillow wall and filling my entire house with candles and lights. Gone are the good days.. Id love to see that :)

Hey, I cant find this mod right now, it adds a custom race and I am pretty sure that the race was called "Persicons" but I didnt find anything so I must be wrong. The name should be close to that though... Thanks!

And you're right! Turns out I accidently added f3nexus to the block images list. Finally I can check for new mods again :D

Ok, this isnt a cache issue, I am sure about that now. Either I applied some weird settings to just f3nexus with Firebug or Web Developer or something is completely wrong with my browser.

Since a couple of days now I have not been able to see any images on f3nexus. Neither uploaded images nor the logo or any bitmaps. Is anybody else havig this problem?

When creating a merged patch, some merged mods will have a green dot as icon instead of the green plus that indicates that the mod has been merged into the patch and can be unticked. What is the difference between the green dot and the green plus? I have found out that I can disable most of these without wrye bash disabling the merged patch but with some mods, wrye bash will disable the merged patch. I think Beautiful Women was one of these mods which I couldnt disable although I merged it. Strangly I seem to be able to untick it now though... Nonetheless I'd like to know, what the differene is. Thanks!

Well then I dont know anymore, maybe they did remove these commands (but then why would it still be recongized by the game?) or maybe we should just forget about it and start using fraps :D Of course thats true. But you said that the responsible ini values are about the same (I am not at home and cant confirm this right now), yet the behaviour couldnt be more different. So dont you agree that there is *some* difference?

If you enter "tdt" (without quotes) will you get a message "Debug text on" or something like that? I am using Darn myself, the Panels are beeing displayed correctly, still the console was shifted way to the left before adjusting the ini and it seems the debug text is somewhere completely else. If youre not getting any message after tdt than the problem is somewhere else, if youre getting a message, you have the same problem as I do. I didnt have to change anything in the ini for tes4 and the console and debug text are both beeing displayed correctly so we cant compare the FO3 setting to TES4.

tdt and toggledebugtext both *should* work, I have never tried the other. But the problem is that even if the debug text will be displayed, you are not seeing anything becasue it is offscreen. At least thats what I think. I have not yet figured out, how to position the debug text so I can see it, but these lines in the fallout3.ini should be responsible: iDebugTextLeftRightOffset= iDebugTextTopBottomOffset= Maybe somebody else figured this out. Seems to be related to non-widescreen resolutions

The second one is the High Resolution Chinese Stealth Armor (http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5666) The first could be from Frederycks Tactical Weapons (http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3796) but it probabyl isnt.

Even taking things like graphics, customizations, controls and transparency aside, which all speak for the pc, there is one giant fat reason: MODS All we're getting because of consoles is delayed pc releases, big ugly menus, blury textures and less and less games in general. I honestly hate consoles!

Not that FO3 isnt a step in the right direction. 5 dlcs and none of them a 2mb dog armor or something! Dont get me wrong, but Beth has a history of releasing tiny "addons" (lets not forget the fact that all dlcs for tes4 were adding little content except SI and KotN) And although TES3 had 2 big addons (and both had fantastic stories!) the first released mods were tiny tiny additions aswell. So I think FO3 is a step in the right direction. 5 dlcs and all of them rather big storylines. I still woul love to see at least one "real" addon, like SI or Bloodmoon were, although some of FO3 dlcs already added quite a lot imho. And the FO3 setting would allow for somany great ideas. One more dlc? How about 5 and when is the World of Wasteland Mod coming out that will allow online playing because I could very well play this game forever!!!

The whole atmosphere is something I had been waiting for forever. The music, the backgound sounds, heck just the simple new quest sound! Pure atmosphere! And the world has much more to offer than oblivion, where I usually just wander around to find ...nothing that wouldnt be marked on my map, Fallout has so many secondary locations worth exploring not marked anywhere. And although everything looks kind of the same, after 3 chars I am still not tired of the wastes. I always think back of that one TES4 quest with the sirens, it started out so good but felt so halfdone, FO3 does that a whole lot better (most of the times) TES4 still feels like morrowind stripped down for the general public. Although the main quest line of FO3 seems to address rather casual players aswell, it seems the game in general is a step back to old traditions and qualities (that would be real rpgs that youre not supposed to play if youve just finished orcarina of time!)

Wonderful idea, I dont understand why people wouldnt be interested in that! There are jukeboxes all over the wastes, each jukebox you find and activate could give you a song, and you goto 3dog and he pays you xp/money. I love that! Please do this, guys!

I usually hit my right mouse button when I once again have to reload while beeing surrounded and attacked by ghouls. I always assume I will kick them away or punch them with my rifle. I dont remember which game is responsible for this leftover behaviour that I cant get rid off. But maybe I wont have to, behold my majestic idea: The punch buggy ... ehrm button of course. Maybe a kick would even make more sense, since you should be able to use it while reloading. Plus it would save us (and by that I dont mean myself) from having to do all these custom animations :whistling:
