  1. Like the title says when in game my view suddenly changes to looking straight up every 2 minute. When I'm in a menu my cursor will jump to the bottom of the screen. I am not sure if it's related to a mod or not, I just got my game working after I tried switching to MO2, but I couldn't get SKSE to work so I went back to Vortex. I got everything working and tried starting a game and now I'm experiencing this weird view change bug.

  2. I removed some mods that required me to rerun DynDOLOD, I had some issues getting it working again when I tried reinstalling the meshes and textures. One of the problems was it was conflicting with an overwrite.ESM which I hadn't encountered before. I disabled or possibly even deleted it (because I can't seem to find it) and got DynDOLOD working again. I started a new game and now medium distance terrain is missing textures and long distance terrain is missing completely. I was hoping running xLODGen might be able to restore the missing terrain and textures but it didn't work although I'm not sure I did it correctly. I think the game files are okay because the game does fine without mods, but with mods it has the problem. Should I start by trying to narrow it down or just purge my mods and start over? Possibly switch to MO2?

  3. I made this request earlier but I wasn't sure what I needed now I'm pretty sure I do. I use voice activation to control my character by using autorun, but my character is always running. Caps lock doesn't work while in game with my software, using shift + C makes my character walk for a second and then starts running. Could someone make a mod that changes having to use shift + C to walk it could instead be changed to a single key?

  4. Hi guys I'm not totally new here I just haven't used creation club before and had some questions. I found mods on nexus that require Creation Club Content, does that mean I need to purchase something to get the mod and where can that be found? I'm guessing on Creation Club, but I don't see the mod I'm looking for. Thanks

  5. I'm at the end of the quest Touching the Sky where you confront Arch-Curate Vyrthur. The battle with his frozen minions seems to go okay except the temple doesn't start falling apart. I defeat everything and it goes into a cut scene where he destroys the temple and your character is knocked to the floor. After the cut scene Arch-Curate Vyrthur stands up but doesn't leave the throne. Serana runs out to the balcony and starts to have the conversation with Vyrthur. They get a few sentences each into the conversation but then they just stop. Is there something I need to do beforehand or could I have a problem with one of my mods? Is there a way to bypass the conversation?

  6. Thanks for the response

Would using the games auto run feature help at all? I think it's bound to the C key by default, but I may be wrong.

The only mod I could find that currently exists that has voice commands is one called "Way of the Voice" which has a variety of voice commands for using spells and accessing certain menus it seems.

My voice commands have the exact same effect as someone pressing a key with their finger. I'm not sure how the auto run works but I'll look into it, but I think more of what I was looking for was a way to alter the game so it would read a single keystroke as if the user pressed the key down and held it.

    -Edit

looks like auto run will help, is there way to get a little bit more fine tuned controls, so like a auto walk, auto run, auto backpedal?

That should work thank you very much.

  8. Sorry if there is a separate SkyrimSE forum thread for SE mods, but I don't have much time to look.

I was wondering if someone could create a mod for me that helps a disabled player use key commands with voice dictation software. I use Dragon NaturallySpeaking to input keyboard commands but there is no command to hold a key down for an extended period of time (that I know of anyway) so I'm stuck giving movement commands basically one step at a time repeating "press up" over and over. It takes forever to get anywhere.

I play the game World of Warships which has a form of cruise control where I can say press up once and the ship increases throttle to 1/4, I say "press up" again and it goes to 1/2 speed. If I say "press down" the throttle slows down back to 1/4. If I say press down again it stops. You probably get the picture.

Could a mod be created to replicate a form of this system in Skyrim? It would help immensely.

  9. To make a long story short I had to reformat my hard drive and re-download all the program for moding, and I'm having a few issues.

The first is I can't remember how to get the FO3 archive utility downloaded and working with Skyrim

The next is after reformatting my hard drive I tried opening one of my meshes with blender 2.49 (by right clicking on the file and choosing the program to open it with (and for some reason it opened in blender 2.7 which I also have installed on my computer. I made some edits in 2.7 just to see if I could (mapping with DDS image is nice in 2.7) I then tried to open it while in blender 2.49 (by going file , open). I opened but I only get a wireframe of my mesh (no faces, tried auto filling didn't work very well) and my UV map is gone. My question is will the mesh still be compatible with Nifscope after opening it in 2.7, you have to put it back in 2.49 and redo my faces and map

The last question involves gimp I went to make a normal map of my armor texture and I didn't see normal map listed under the options of maps to create. This could just be my lack of camp skills and am not seeing something.

    Any ideas? Thanks. S

  11. It shouldn't really be the image format that's the problem. To be honest, I've found it easier to not load the image in Blender because it doesn't show up on the model for me anyway. What I do is export the model nif back into Nifskope, then export the UV template from there to make the image inside of Photoshop.

have you tried exporting your image to a DDS format ?

I just tried it and I can map my image right onto my model In blender.

  12. I'm new to blender 2.4 and am having issues getting my images to appear in the image editor for mapping. I load the image I want and it says (can't get image) in the image properties panel. I'm using gimp 2.0 with the DDS plug-in. Could it be my image format? If you need more information let me know.

    Thanks

  13. Okay so I removed the marker, and I went through the tutorial. I’ve got a few questions. When I change the dismemberment partitions to match fallout can I change them all to the BP_rightleg setting, or do I have to set them something else? I’ve been changing the user version 2 to 34 instead of 37. Should I use 37 from here on? And I’m having trouble locating the root node so I can change its name. Can you give me a hint? So I tried importing a mesh with the new changes and I still get the error message. I checked the console and I was getting the same message except the last line, it says

ValueError: unknown block type ‘ BSeffectsshaderproperty’.

Does it need to be removed as well?

  14. Here is everything that is in the console. Sorry I'm really new to this and don't know what you mean by paths.

  15. I'll try to explain my issue a little better since the process to upload pictures still eludes me. The meshes I'm talking about are armor meshes I've extracted and changed in Nifskope following this tutorial.

    <http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Creating_an_armour_for_Skyrim._Part_1>

The error message I get right after I click ok on the bottom left after selecting the file to import. The screen goes blank gray and a small message window appears where my pointer is. It says

    Error

    Python script error: check console

Like I said, certain meshes will import and others won't. Like imperial armor will import every time but deadric armor never imports, same for shields. Did that clarify anything?
