  1. I can import most of my armor to blender, but shields won't import. I get a script error message when I import something whether or not the mesh imports. This have anything to do with it? Do shields need to be imported with a different method than other armor meshes?

  2. I'm pretty new so it could just be something I have figured out yet. Anyway I get a script error message every time I import meshes to blender. I started out with the body meshes. I got the female body okay I think, I used the Astrid for the main body. I tried importing the male body and only can see is the underwear. Is there a male Astrid mesh? Or am I even supposed to use the Astrid mesh? I tried importing some armor and weapons and I get the same script error message but nothing appears. Did I download the wrong version of something i.e.Nifscripts? I saw the problem with invisible objects on the tutorial. Is the armor there and I just can't see it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

  3. So I got a new problem. When I import my body mesh into blender it gives me a script error notification. The underwear appears as well as the skeleton but nothing else. I saw the issue with importing meshes that sometimes are invisible. Is it there and I just can't see it, or is it a problem with my scripts? I got a head to import fine but not the body. Does it have anything to do with the BS shader properties? I deleted two with my body mesh but that was all I could find. Sorry I keep bugging you guys. :P

  4. Thanks for the help so far. I got everything downloaded except nifskope. every time I try to download version 1.0.22 my computer tells me Windows cannot access the specified device path or file. I can download later versions just fine. So I'm not sure what my problem is.

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

  5. I'm new to moding. I tried downloading blender nif scripts and it tells me I need to download PyFFI. when I try downloading that I get this message.

Blenders user data files (such as scripts) do not reside in blenders installation directory. Blender will sometimes only find it scripts if blenders user data files reside in blenders installation directory.

Do you wish to abort installation and first reinstall blender?

I tried reinstalling blender and I get the same thing. Can anyone give me any advice?

I do have blender 2.7 and 2.49 installed on my computer could that have anything to do with it? Thanks.

  6. So I think I found out that the legacy settings you are talking about are the export settings in blender. There is an option to select legacy in the export settings however I'm not sure that this is a fix. But that brings me to a new question, can I install blender 2.49 and keep my 2.7 version installed as well? Also how do I install 2.49? I found it in the list of older versions but do I just download all the relevant files? The tutorial on modding that I'm reading says I can find blender and all of the files you need on the Nexus website but I can't find them. How did you download 2.49?

  7. I'm new to moding and I was wondering which version of blender I should use? I've been working with the latest versions for the last year and a half or so and am very familiar with it. But I came across a moding tutorial that said I should use version 2.49 because the latest versions don't support Nifscript or something like that. is this still true or can I use a later version? Thanks for the help.
