  1. so i tried putting my hard drive windows 10 laptop saves saving stuff in my hard drive to another windows 10 laptop... so it worked, i playing like 2 morrowinds and jade empire a nd like 2 kotors... i'm thinking of getting a desktop windows 7...now will my hard drive "windows 10" video game stuff...would it transfer correctly to the windows 7 desktop computer?...just as efficiently as doing what i've tested meaning already converting windows 10 saved video game stuff to another one of my windows 10 laptop?...will it work the same?... please please please help.... should i get another windows 10 laptop as well as what i am already getting which is a desktop 7 computer for other games...but i want the games i saved in my hard drive to work on my new eventually upcoming windows desktop 7 to work... note: the reason why i transferred from my windows 10 laptop to another more recent windows laptop 10 of mine is well because...the other laptop windows 10 burnt out...lol... or should i get another windows 10 laptop for like let's say my next birthday just to be safe as well as my already upcoming desktop windows 10 computer just to be safe?... i guess it's almost like a...good thumb of rule to have 2 laptops?...okay, now i don't know what i'm saying...just kidding... the reason i'm getting a windows 7 desktop computer is because i only play old games before like 2009 video games... please please please help...
  2. wow...both morrowind works...the wrye mash works only for the modded morrowind...i have a couple mods on my vanilla morrowind playthroughs...but both still work at the same time...
  3. wow, now i have 2 morrowinds under one laptop...and the wrye mash that i transferred only responds to my modded morrowind...lol... seems i can't have a wrye mash for each morrowind. but in this vanilla morrowind, i don't have that many mods...i guess good luck to me... now, please tell me oblivion will work the same way in my upcoming desktop computer...whew though for the most part. these are definite good signs...
  4. now i'm checking if i can put my original morrowind vanilla into my laptop that already has a heavily modded morrowind...the computer must be confused...but i'll still try... my other laptop burned out. lol.
  5. guys, guys, guys...i completely transferred my jade empire stuff to my other laptop stuff and it worked... HadtoRegister...wouldn't this work with oblivion too then?...i don't remember registry keys on that game either... Any help would be appreciated. wait...are there registry keys to elder scrolls oblivion in the first place? I don't remember any...
  6. okay. i run by discs so i should be able to do that. yeah, yeah, i'll do that. i just hope...that my desktop windows 7 does exactly what you say as in my windows laptop 10. you know, for the registry keys?...thanks. i plan to make a mess of it outside my program files c folder.
  7. So is windows 7 more broadly better than windows 10 in general?...for video games?...or just old video games?...I am pretty sure this is the last question...if you don't know, you don't have to answer of course...
  8. cool...awesome for you...it seems i'n getting windows 7 and you're getting windows 10... good luck with it, it's a very good machine... right now, i only have windows 10...if you like youtube, i think your quality is gonna be 1080 at least. of course, rule of thumb if you don't already know...if you plan on playing old games, stick with windows 7...that's all i've heard so far all the time. i guess i said that because i have a couple questions... what rpg game with cheats do you recommend with my windows 7 desktop computer coming up?...i was thinking elder scrolls redguard...i can't wait to read all that dialogue... i'm gonna get jedi knight, dark forces 2 and it's expansion pack, mysteries of the sith. another reason why i'm asking... i need and want only 3d games with fantastic gameplay and dialogue...lots of it... oh yeah...one more lingering question...any 2d games with god mode on?...like fallout 2 or elder scrolls battlespire?... gamer to gamer...just curious what those games are like if you have them. or any 3d games with god mode on it...i already have jedi outcast and jedi academy getting ready for my new desktop computer thing. i'd appreciate any solutions...thank you. that's what the beauty of video games...so big...so much of what yet to see...and then combos in them... for me, there's so many games that are 3d and old and still beautiful including any 2d games too...
  9. i know for sure two worlds 1 has registry keys...if i install it on my desktop computer...then put the saves in...would that work?... anyways i can't be too happy to not play neverwinter nights 1 and 2 until i get my desktop computer...lol...you know. just to be safe... i understand windows 7 is good with all these old games?... thanks, i appreciate everything. oblivion is gonna be awesome on my desktop computer...windows 7...desktop computer style...such is a good life...cause i'm playing as many combos as possible playing on oblivion...with paper records of all things...haha...at least my mods are gonna work...and if my wrye bash doesn't work automatically...it's a simple procedure to install wrye bash for oblivion...
  10. okay, did so. i don't believe there's any such things for morrowind? like morrowind's saves is morrowind's saves?...because when i went to users...i didn't see any morrowind stuff... thanks for the heads up though. as far as appdata goes...it didn't show up for oblivion...although i think i transferred everything i need...everything there is at least. how about for titles like neverwinter nights 2 or 1...or even kotor 1 and 2... if i have it properly installed with my game discs...would that mean my desktop computer would accept my mods and saves too?
  11. it's the beauty of what i do...and how i think is some real good stuff...i would rather do it tons of times than never...it kinda feels like soul searching in lessons...there's a lot of philosophy in branches of the games and stuff i like...it's the beauty of a comfort branch in one's soul...so to speak...
  12. true..but i could always take paper records...most games i plan on buying don't have registry entries...or at least i don't think so...i play ancient games like jedi knight dark forces 2...as well...and have a lot of plans like those games...i don't really have that many games in the first place... but thanks for the heads up...good information...and i spend a lot of time on the laptops as it is...with your knowledge...perhaps i will see to it i'll get a couple of playthroughs done...and play other variations of the game if need be on my desktop computer...i'll buy separate hard drives for extra desktop computers and stuff...with mods or no...it's the still the same game solely with mods or no...and different variations i wanna do with it...solely speaking...but once again thanks for the help... but don't worry...i have a lot of youtube and netflix and all this i wanna do... anyways...if there is anything more i need...i'll contact these forums... yeah, i know...weird...it's like i wanna make a relationship with my eyes and the texts...like school again...lol...jesus... i find modern games toxic for some reason...i see a lot of worth with a lot of mods or no mods...different experiences and emotions...but solely the same... of course, i'm not gonna do anything illegal considering everything i said and everything i go by.
  13. Yes, but I don't understand how you're able to move entire games from computer to computer, since they usually add some Registry Entries when installed. They're not "Portable", because some write data to the appdata folder, along with writing to the Documents, or Documents/My Games folder, you can't just zip up a Game's Install Folder and copy it to another Computer and it "Just Works" hmmm...good question...i'm gonna try right now how to put my oblivion into my other next laptop... ohhhh...what if i install it on my desktop computer...first...and then put the mods and saves in?...would that work?... i'm pretty sure this is my last question... i just don't play very modern games. it wouldn't be too much of a hassle in the end...i'm sure a desktop computer will introduce me some effectiveness... i'm just glad i'm getting the experience that i have on my laptops... in the end...thank you for all these information on these hard drives...something totally new to me as far as games go. you know the funny thing about it...i play with cheats...so i can cover more ground and dialogue...that's how i see rpgs... replaying them on my desktop computer is not much of a task. now i know what to be intent with with certain items like hard drives...much thanks...and enjoy your adventures and progress too... thank god i have other projects in life as well that are pure entertainment as well...that i do a lot and make major progress... again...much thanks and good days and good luck to you...all of you...
  14. Yes, but I don't understand how you're able to move entire games from computer to computer, since they usually add some Registry Entries when installed. They're not "Portable", because some write data to the appdata folder, along with writing to the Documents, or Documents/My Games folder, you can't just zip up a Game's Install Folder and copy it to another Computer and it "Just Works" Oh...right...registry keys...no matter...i'll just have to play as many different combinations of games that i have on my laptops...until i get a desktop computer to more smoothly play my old video games...i've got the time... but i have a question...does the transferring of mods?...would that work?... how about saves?...what do you think about them?... the games with registry keys that i have are two worlds 1, mass effect 1, and i believe neverwinter nights 1 and 2. but like i said no matter...because all the video games i'm playing are long and i'm playing as many combinations with them... oh yeah, just one more question...do you think kotor 1 and 2 would work fine transferring to other computers with my hard drives?... and before you ask...yes...i see value in playing games with combinations of different things. these are old games and my laptops won't burn out for a while... but anyways, thanks for bringing that to my attention... i can always put it down in paper records of what i finish...it's just experience after all, right?...and maybe some emotion too... oh, but i do have one super question...do you think oblivion would work on another with my hard drive?...
  15. Yes, but I don't understand how you're able to move entire games from computer to computer, since they usually add some Registry Entries when installed. 16. Thanks very much...i'll put this knowledge to good use...goodbye guys...good luck with yours too...
  17. i just restarted and my flash drive agreed with me...lol...i just hope restarting doesn't take away any information in my hard drive...
  18. so i did a couple of conversations in kotor 1...new conversations...saved it on my hard drive...and the message came up...i'm gonna restart and do the thing i told you about earlier. thanks for your attempt to help though...all things considered...
  19. so i think it's considered a removable hard drive. like i get the message on kotor 1...i think less so on morrowind...so yeah, i guess it's old games on my desktop at the same time...that is the problem. but i have a question. does restarting or shutting down the computer while the flash drive is still in...and let's say...then icon disappears by itself with no ready to move kinda message...perhaps is that something to worry about?...in terms of deletion without the ready to move message?... That I'm not sure, but I remember tracking down the "Close the Task Manager to eliminate the "Device Currently In Use" problem. How do you have games installed on a flash drive? so i have all my games stored in a flash drive...if i'm using that term right, flash drive. wherein i can just put it in a different computer and it just works right away. i'm gonna get more progress in kotor 1 and see if i get the problem and all... i found a video of what you were trying to say... standby...lol..
  20. so i think it's considered a removable hard drive. like i get the message on kotor 1...i think less so on morrowind...so yeah, i guess it's old games on my desktop at the same time...that is the problem. but i have a question. does restarting or shutting down the computer while the flash drive is still in...and let's say...then icon disappears by itself with no ready to move kinda message...perhaps is that something to worry about?...in terms of deletion without the ready to move message?...
  21. sometimes i get a thing called "device currently in use" message when i want to pull out my hard drive...sometimes not... i was wondering if restarting the computer while the hard drive is in there effects the hard drive in any way that is bad like any deletion stuff. also i researched a video answer and it did not work as i thought. so i guess my real question is:if i restart my computer and it no longer shows the device is ready to be removed thingy for the hard drive...well, sometimes when i restart and try to pull the hard drive the right way by second clicking it and all that jazz to remove the hard drive properly...the hard drive sometimes disappear... i am assuming the hard drive icon disappearing is a sign it was removed well and healthy like when i restart the computer and it kinda gives it's own initiative to just have the hard drive icon disappear altogether without a message sign... anyways with all these things considered...is there anything i have to worry about by restarting my computer and what i just said the hard drive icon not being there in the first place once my windows 10 laptop restarts?...or when it's there(when restarts) but disappears on it's own without the safely remove hardware message while i try to get rid of it and safely removing the hard drive?... any answers would be appreciated if i have nothing to worry about or not.
  22. sorry about that. i was trying to find a way to transfer it. i meant it to be saying it was in the 'wrong' area. anyways. is this stuff like lost knowledge? or should i ask a clearer question perhaps?...
  23. sup people. so i have games like jedi outcast, jedi academy, jedi knight dark forces 2, jedi knight dark forces 2 mysteries of the sith. stuff like that...i only have windows 10 PC's or laptops to be more exact. is there a better pc for these old games...even for a game like 'rebellion' which is star wars. but at the same time...i wanna know which of those old games work with mods 'and' cheats in one of those old PC's...by the way, can i buy elder scrolls redguard on an old PC?...so yeah...what is a good laptop for all these old games to work...even mods and cheats...both of course... New PC:i'm looking for a PC also, i mean laptop which could play the highest youtube quality with fair internet connection...'no mattter what...' i have solid, at the very least, good internet connection...all 4 bars on that internet symbol. i have a good windows 10:but it only plays 1080. of course it works better in other places like a hotel...but i'm in an apartment with said internet capabilities...so with that laptop what plays the highest quality no matter what. Thank you. The Old laptop is the priority though...so answers for that first please...
  24. is there a mod where you can leave with bastila right away when you leave the enclave for the first time in kotor 1?
  25. hey bud...you may know about some mods about kotor 1...sorry, i have no answer for you, but...do you know if there are any mods of bastila going out of jedi enclave right away bastila mod? i already have the korriban bastila mod. like i said, i don't have any answers for you...but can you help?...thanks, sorry about that.
