  1. Im with everyone here. I loved the Oblivion Lock picking mini game. I feel like im playing fallout 3 not Skyrim. Makes me want a open lock dragon shout. Just yell the darn thing open. BUT i do look back on the Morrowind days fondly. SO if i can't have a fun mini game ill settle for my character fiddling with it and roll dice. There are mods that set random base value and require skill levels. But I just would like to snap through 100 picks for that 1% chance at a master level lock...With no Fallout 3 lock action.
  2. Ok not knowing a thing about the process. Is faces a simple thing to do? and do you need some utility program or is it all in the Creation Kit? Maybe i can find the time. To help all the old ladies.
  3. OK! so on a mission to Update some face textures I noticed a hole. Notably no love for the old and weird. Or really men but thats something different. When roaming around the collage grounds I bumped into Colette. Being a paladin build needed I her help. As as said I have been updating a lot of visuals after getting a new kick ass graphics card! Wile Mirabelle has a nice one on the nexus for her that keeps her kinda middle age but up dated. Colette has no stand alone one. She does get added into make all chicks young hotties packs. This got me thinking. What kind of character would best describe her. As a Restoration MASTER! she would need to have been around a lot of sick and dyeing people. Been a medic in wars. Probability is a good alchemist. Even birthed half of Skyrim maybe, so a midwife. Her voice and dialog seem to suggest old and maybe a bit troubled. A outsider. And someone who is being messed with or is loosing her mind and forgetting where things were. SO the challenge! I am NOT a modder. But i would be nice for someone who has done faces to do a older person for a change other than all the slick eleven ageless hotties. To emphasize the direction artistically I dug around for some source material.   4. I finally decide to go for a dual wield character and take the first level of Dual Fury and HOLY CRAP! Its Fast, game breaking fast. It appears only to activate when that perk does. 20% should not make it like lightning. I tested on others saves and yep just the perk does this. is there a way to check a perk's programed value. Like in a Config file, or is that data rather buried. I have tried to forceav weapon and left weapon speed Mult. but no it almost seems to make it faster. Like the perk is continuing to add something like 200% not 20%. Ive read a few topics on slow bugs. But this seems to be tied to the perk. I have Dual Combat realism and Combat Evolved. I did have Action Combat on with Dual combat off. But later Uninstalled Action combat. Maybe something there? Any help or advice, or people with similar issues! Thanks Now Dual Wield is OP! i attack so fast i just endlessly stagger anything. Old Orcs, Guards, and Mr Ebony is no problem for a lev 5 character!
  5. I personally like "SOME" mods that make things harder or more realistic. Realistic encumbernce, Faster arrows, Dashing or advanced running mods with fatigue(esspecially ones that work on the NPC), I really like magic mods so you can cast any spell (if you have the enegry for it) with the out of level ones having a chance to fail, I really like the better citys mod. Makes the place seem more real, some complain about frame rate hike but in a city you are mostly dooing non combat stuff(shoping questing) the city its self is usually just a path to some smaller scale shop or house anyway. I like special combat moves mods a lot. It is much better to do fun stuff in combat than just bashing everything to death. Also I get mods that increse # of creatures spawing in some places. Makes it more dangerous to just go wandering in nowhere. Oh and no extinction mods so stuff like dear and boar dont just disapear to be replaced with horid stuff like will-o-wisps and trolls(thoes things are relegated to the deep wild) . But with soooooo many mods out there the way you want the game to be It can be.
  6. I ended up just cutting out all the mods I had active. I couldn't find the exact one responcible. He eventually showed up and I continued in the mage guild quest. I just hope after turning on the mods he dosen't decide to vanish again.
  7. The arcane university's mage contact guy (forgot his name), issent showing up at the loby to give me the welcome. The map marker shows he is hiding in the mages quarters. A glich when someone leaves the loby allows me axess to the inner university. I go to the mage quarters and to the room indacated by the map marker and he seems to be in 0 space behind the door to the up stairs room(interior). I think its a mod I have that is causing the trouble but the only way I can seem to get him to show up is wating a log time with all the mods off. I wonder is he suposed to be gone during some seson or days of the week? It also is a problem with a new charator going right there after exiting the sewer. I have all mods off and he seems to show up on thursdays. Then he randomly disapeers on other days off the week. If any one has a simmilar problem or has run into this themselves, any advise would be nice. I am going to try to force spawn him or somthing using console commands, but I just got the stuff to do it (i hope (VISTA user)).
