  1. Update: 7/26/2018 - Major fixes to dialogue typos and dialogue trees. 75% Complete - Shop services are now available! 100% Complete - The main town has been revamped to include an upper quarter, two dungeons, and a large path way. 25% Complete - The module now has its own fully working companion. AND YOU DON'T NEED TO PAY FOR HIM! Psst! Once I release the demo! You can find him by going left from the start. He will find you... - The game now has guards and guard patrols. You can now see them patrolling the area! 40% Complete - The demo version is about 68% complete and will contain the prologue, the main town, and 2 dungeons to explore in the town. More Updates will come soon! See you soon!
  2. The goal and aim of the mod: The goal and aim is to bring back the feel of the glory days of the rpg's of old such as eye of the beholder, betrayal at krondor, diablo 1, dungeon master, and many many other that have touched our hearts over the years... Updates: - Minor revisions to the gates of ambercrest map. YOU CAN NOW ENTER THE TOWN! - Major conversation updates. Future Updates! - Many changes to areas in the cathedral that had been already been built. - New puzzles to solve in the many dungeons you will find... - New cities and towns outside the main one to further the story... - An all new teleportation system similar to the ones used in diablo 2 but much different... (Via new buildings called Cloak Towers) - A new area in between the cathedral and the town called "Battle Scar Pass". DON'T PANIC! I already came up with these ideas before I announced the mod. I just wanted to wait for the right time to announce them... as to surprise everyone. I'LL GET ALL OF THIS DONE! THEN AND ONLY THEN WILL I MAKE CHANGES OR UPDATES OR CONTENT ADDITIONS TO THIS MODULE! Rushing things has been the folly of many a developer. Taking too long though can be also so I'll be nice and steady with my updates. As I said, don't panic. I'm not going to rush this. I'm going to take my time with this to make sure EVERYTHING works RIGHT! See ya for now...
  3. Hello! You've probably never heard of me before but I've kept this module in secret long enough! The demo of the module is in early beta but is in steady progress. I present to you: The Legend of Kalvilon - Book I The Great Descent It requires these main mods: CEP 2.65 CMP 1.0 Raathi Pack I & II The Single Player Version Recommended Installs: OHS Henchmen (allows for more than one henchman. It's on the new .org vault... just look it up) The Multiplayer Version Recommended Installs: PRC 3.5 NOTE: OHS Henchmen and PRC are NOT compatible with each other! Don't Install them together! Theme of the Series: It uses themes from Diablo, Betrayal at Krondor, Baldur's Gate, Might and Magic (Games 6 - 8 ), Dungeon Siege 1 (The Multiplayer Map). NOTE: This is a tribute to the hardcore rpg fans of old! I know you guy's have been waiting for something like this for a long time and I wanted to show how much I love the traditional role playing game franchise. I hope you guys like this series! Please note this game will have HARD Puzzles in it! Please don't rage quit! Simply walk away and come back when your ready to try again... IF YOU SURVIVE... However the story, the character, and the setting were created by me.YEP, I'm the only on creating this... I'm learning as I go along though... The story you'll have to find out for your self! I don't think I have a release date yet... like for quite a while! Wish me luck guys! OH! By the way! The mod will come with a custom hak file containing a custom ambientmusic 2da that lists the music from both packs! I however cannot provide the music for you... you'll have to download the music from the vault yourselves. Ya know... copyright and all that... gotta keep it safe. Sorry guys no screenshots cause apparently the nexus doesn't like them... For development videos & module progress see this for more: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVBqKiXhOZkPT7G4NHtAFGFJWIATHmy2V Reply and tell me what you think!
  4. One problem with the "Radiant" AI is that they use spells in a dumb manner. For example if you have 85 frost resistance and an enemy like a necromancer casts a frost spell at you. Another thing that's just plain annoying is that npc's will talk to your companions. Even if you have stuff to do they Interupt!! I almost took a steel mace to a beggar's head just to shut him up... but lucky for him he stopped before I acted. They also do stupid s*** during combat! Like running between the enemies to get the guy in back instead of going for the damn Daedroth! Lucky for us daedroth's are not as bad as they were in morrowind. They were NASTY in morrowind mind you. Hopefully BGS takes all this time to CREATE a new engine that's not a heavily modified version of the GAMEBRYO engine. If anyone has anything to add they may humbly do so. Thank You!
  5. If any of you are wondering how to fix this bug... well... you can't unless you just remove the plugin from your game. Yes I just now removed the stupid thing from my skse plugins directory and the FootIK crashing, and random crashes just suddenly stopped... weird... it seems it causes more problems than it fixes. I'm dreadfully sorry to the mod author who made this but if you make things that crash my game then your mod is out of my load order. AGAIN, I'm sorry... FYI - To the people seeing this? Watch what you download...

If anyone has any features of these two games that I missed or has some input on the matter they are welcome to reply.
  7. This may be the wrong section for this but I just have to get this out. Deleted ENBoost and it solved my problem. Creation engine or not this is still the gamebryo engine they just made some big modifications to it. The music lag problem is still there since morrowind. Don't know what that is? It's where the game starts to lag if you turn the music off. The first time I heard that I was like "This is just BS" Bottom Line Bethesda! CREATE A NEW ENGINE!!! NOW! I don't care how long it takes JUST FIX IT. We're ALL tired of this crap. If anyone wishes to express there feelings about the stupid "Creation Engine" please I welcome it. And I bet you modders out there get tired of trying to fix the crap bethesda pulls. I'm not angry at you guy's... it's bethesda whose getting the scolding.
  8. The solution to this problem is modding. The Worlds Dawn and Disparity mods are what I use. They're mods that add classes and attributes as well as randomized enchanted/tempered loot to the game. If you want races but don't want an extensive overhaul I'd try Imperious races. Morrowloot and ordinator for the added weapons, armor, etc. and also for the manually placed daedric equipment. This feature was in morrowind but was since removed. If you want an unleveled world I'd try Real Unleveled Skyrim Reborn... search for it on the nexus page. Trust me you'll like it... I know that I have!
  9. If I wanted that I'd play hexen 2... sorry but it wouldn't be an rpg then...
  10. The dumbing down of the elder scrolls to bring in new players... more specifically the removed class and attribute system. All they needed to do is make it to where they increased naturally or reinstate the attribute point system from daggerfall... they didn't need to just remove it entirely. I know there were time constrains and the game does feel a bit rushed... since they only had like what... 2-3 years before they released it. So the point is if you want to make your games viable to both old and new players DON'T CHANGE ANYTHING. I can understand why they cut a LOT of content out since oblivion but to just alienate other players like that... it's just wrong is all I'm saying. And then the BS started about the stupid old as dirt meme "I use to be an adventurer like you... then I took an arrow to the knee." and I'm sorry if this "Offends" anyone but if your going to just start a rage fest in the comment section, or just troll the forums then just stop. JUST stop and think about what your doing. LOOK AT THIS... it's a mess! None of this crap started until "The Elder Scrolls Skyrum: meme and BS galore" was released. Every thing was fine and everyone was happy... until that sorry excuse for a damn rpg was released. Morrowind was perfect! It had the perfect amount of difficulty and if one area was too hard just come back until your stronger. That's all these players had to do but "NO" we have to dumb down the game just to make the kids happy. I didn't start actual RPG's untill after I got out of high school such as "Eye of the beholder" "Dungeon Master" "The Legend of Grimrock" they were fantastic rpg's. Skyrim is just bethesda's call out to COD fans. This is my honest opinion and it may suck to some people but it's not your choice to just go and NAG the forum staff to ban someone just because you don't like what they said. Where I come from those people are called tattle tales. Ever heard of the boy who cried wolf... It's an old nursery rime. Honestly some people just need to sit down shut up and stop hassling other people; stop nagging and just stop the BS that goes on 24/7 365. It's crazy and pathetic... I've just had it... and this is just MY opinion and if you don't like it then DON'T POST! I just needed to blow off some steam. That's all this forum topic is about. Is for people to just come and blow off that steam that get's pumped into them from the trolls on the internet...
  11. The gaming world has always been about having fun and doing what YOU want to do. This topic is dedicated to something I wanted to get off my back for a LONG time so that I can move on and start enjoying gaming more. Let me begin this discussion with this simple note... This is NOT for people who hate drama. This is for people who feel left out, lost, angry, fearful and so many emotions that we as a mortal race are suppose to feel. Let me explain by an example: When a man or woman is born she feels happy... blissful... like nothing could happen to him or her. As that person gets older they see more of what the world has to offer: Fun, Excitement, Sadness, Loss, Happiness, etc... Then the younger sibling comes along. That person feels (Depending on what they think or what they fear) like they will be forgotten... old fashioned. The same concept applies to gamers that have a hard time accepting reality. To quote a certain character: "All those with power... are afraid to loose it" This quote applies to real life.
  12. As everyone can tell by now the shadows in skyrim are extremely buggy but they will be fine as long as you don't set the fov above 78 or something completely random like that... and for this engine it's normal for it to do that because everyone is use to doing the usual BS with this game by now. The thing I'm happy about is the fact that I don't have to delete the ini file and generate a new one from the launcher. The old problems from oblivion seem to be squashed. Such as the very annoying random crash while exploring the wilderness or the crash while loading which still happens but is less so in the creation engine. This is why I'm so stoked for skyblivion because I am so sick of having to just reinstall every time something gets fudged up and that means starting a new game. Skyrim is way better in technological terms but gameplay wise well... that's why we have this site to fix those gameplay issues. If anyone has any thoughts on the matter please post.
  13. Ok, having bought the anthology edition just to get the first two games (Plus It doesn't hurt to have backup disks). I see that Daggerfall has A LOT of skills like this: 1. Alteration 2. Archery 3. Axe 4. Backstabbing 5. Blunt Weapon 6. Centaurian 7. Climbing 8. Critical Strike 9. Daedric 10. Dodging 11. Dragonish 12. Etiquette 13. Giantish 14. Hand-to-Hand (AKA Unarmed Combat for those not familiar with the series) 15. Harpy 16. Illusion 17. Impish 18. Jumping 19. Lockpicking 20. Long Blade 21. Medical 22. Mercantile 23. Mysticism 24. Nymph 25. Orcish 26. Pickpocket 27. Restoration 28. Running 29. Short Blade 30. Spriggan 31. Stealth 32. Streetwise 33. Swimming 34. Thaumaturgy You could master only one skill to 100 and all others would cap at 95. Quote Might & Magic VI - The Mandate of Heaven "The tools you have is but a small sum of gold, your wits and a LOT of potential. The roads ahead are infinite, and all the choices are yours to make. So choose wisely. Good Luck!" That quote is like a prep talk. Preparing you for the game itself... The same should go for Skyrim. daggerfall didn't have the odd grinding spree that oblivion or morrowind had. Infact I shouldn't have to grind to get good at the game to enjoy the story. Grinding is fun and all but what I really care about is the gameplay and the story. Skyrims story is just too dark for me. One of the main reasons I like high fantasy more than dark fantasy. Gothic fantasy is fine but the gory stuff is just too much for me in an rpg. That stuff is fine for games like doom. But not for the elder scrolls. What I'm trying to say is... Bethesda... make up your f**king mind! And stop catering to the call of duty audience. "Oh the game is too complex for me! Can you make it simpler?" Uhh... how about NO. If you don't like a game. Don't play it... plain and simple. Same thing goes with mods as well... if you don't like it, don't download it... Don't just sit there and complain about it and ask them to take it off the site, NO. STFU and go away. One thing I can't stand is Haters and Stupid people. "Can you proove I'ma stupid?" "Yes..." "Oh ye, proove it?" "I just did idiot..." "When?" *BLAM* "The ban warhammer of doom has spoken!"
  14. I have an idea for an inventory mod. Here are it's features: - Customizable Layouts between a GRID auto adjusting layout similar to the wz_inventory mod for oblivion With Inventory tabs instead of icons OR the default LIST layout. - Practical equipment slots similar to other games such as Baldur's Gate or Might and Magic. (So you know what you can equip and what slots are open) - "Ease-of-use" hotkeys such as control or shift click to select the items you want in grid or list modes in the MCM. With a convenient "Take" button to wrap the feature together. - An available and optional featured drag and drop inventory system used in the style of baldur's gate or might & magic 9. - A 3d inventory paperdoll of your character so you don't have to switch to third person to see the changes when you enter your inventory. (The inventory slots will be customizable as well. So you can have them placed around your character or statically lined vertically or horizontally in a list or row.) Let me know what you guy's think! Also this mod idea was made with user preference in mind.
  15. Here are a few things that are commonly known about the gamebryo/creation engine: - It doesn't support multi-threading - It's more optimized for single core up to four core processors - It crashes like there's no tomorrow - The graphics are absolutely horrible - Forcing multithreading causes crazy glitches and bugs So bethesda's engine is basically a piece of "crap". But the community cannot fix everything! Bethsoft you have to make the effort to fix this or make a new engine. And they did: The Creation Engine Plus Thanks to bethesda's work we now have more modding capabilities. Just think of when we'll get the Skyrim Special Edition Script Extender! But there's no rush on my part... take as long as you guys need!
