  1. So Belethor has a coffin in Whiterun's Catacombs. I imagine that would be the problem... I'm thinking the obstacle now would be to find a way to undo the effects of that? Tried "Disable" hoping that for once it might just be that simple. ofc not.
  2. This does bring back the original Belethor, however he will not show the trade dialogue. Trying to bring back his original functionality as a merchant is the main problem for me. I'm not sure what causes this. I used "Resurrect" and afterwards tried various methods of waiting hoping he would fix himself at some point.
  3. Ok so I've learned more about what the problem may be. The goal is to restore a resurrected merchant's trade dialogue and functionality. Short version: *Merchant died. *Merchant gets their own coffin placed in relevant city's catacombs. *Merchant gets revived with "Resurrect" console command. *Merchant no longer has trade dialogue. *Coffin scripting is likely the problem. Below is my original post: *Walked into Whiterun, went to Belethor's store at appropriate hours, it was locked. *Waited 1 hour at a time, several times, until I decided to break in. *Belethor was M.I.A. so I had a look around town and found an Ash Pile. *Facepalmed and loosed an exasperated sigh. (silly vampires and their raise dead spells) *Tried Resurrect and Resurrect 1 on Ash Pile with no effect. (ofc) *Made sure it was Belethor through use of "moveto" commands. (took me to the removed cross shaped hall cell, but no sight of belethor) *Reluctantly used "placeatme" command to spawn a new Belethor. *New Belethor has no Trade dialogue. (gave him plenty of time to change his mind. no luck) *Found Ref ID of original Belethor's Merchant chest and Item representing said chest. (disabled floor and rugs to locate) *"Setownership" doesn't apply to NPCs, as such cannot transfer ownership of merchant chest to New Belethor. (to be continued?) So yea that's where I'm stuck. That's as far as I can get on my own. I imagine mods are mostly irrelevant in this situation, and I only use a few retexture ones anyways. It would be great if there was a console command to set an item's ownership to a different NPC! As the current "Setownership" console command (as far as I can tell) doesn't serve that function. I could always start over again, but with dragon attacks and now vampire attacks as well, this is inevitably going to happen again. It would be nice to learn of a way to fix it. Btw, I may or may not have taken the wrong approach to this. Either way my earliest save is after I found the ash pile and before I touched the console at all. If you can contribute to a potential solution that would be neat :D
  4. I would be content with a bug-free skyrim. But while I'm reaching for the stars, I'll call out for an Updated Morrowind! (New graphics ofc, but also new content and w/o restricting freedoms such as equipment slots, levitation, expansive spellbase, etc.). Could get into detail about custom RPG preferences, but honestly Bethesda makes them close enough to what I'd like. Restrictions and bugs aside :P
  5. So as a diehard sneak (Thief/Assassin), I was excited to finally unlock the Glass Smithing teir to make some custom armor. Yea... I got a giggle out of the thought of sneaking around in the shadows with it. Can you imagine one tiny beam of light connecting with your glass armor/weapon and setting loose a fierce rainbow to dazzle all those who were previously unaware of your presence? Anyways, if you're up to it, a retext of the glass armor would be great! Name of Items: Glass Set (Weapons optional) What I want: Darker/Ebil, Shadow stalking-friendly attire. Base Colors: Blood Crystal(Crimson), Ebony/Obsidian Metal
  6. I'm trying to change the face on my Dark Minion and Deepscorn Prisoner from the Vile Lair Official DLC. This is new to me and several searches later I've not been able to find any help. I'm not trying to understand everything involved, I really just want to know how to give these two NPCs my Player's face (I can manage to alter my own face just fine if I want to remain unique in the game). I'd rather not have Wyre Bash as a solution as it results in a headache. Please and Thank you.
  7. Alright, I found a fix on the Bethesda Forums. I'll share it on the off-chance someone is reading who has the same problem. For Windows 7 Users Experiencing random and frequent game crashes (Game freeze followed by an unresponsive Fallout 3). This is supposively a multi-core processor issue (which is true for me, I have a dual-core i3) Fixed by going to your Fallout.ini file in Documents/My Games/Fallout3/ and making the following changes Try adding this line to the [General] section of the Fallout.ini iNumHWThreads=2 And change the 0 to 1 for this line bUseThreadedAI=0 this line then should look like this: bUseThreadedAI=1 I feel as though I've wasted forum space for finding an answer to my own problem, hopefully this can help someone else.
  8. My original install location was "C:\Fallout 3\", but since it was crashing I reinstalled to the default hoping to fix it. This did not work.
  9. So I tried playing Fallout 3 on my new computer and am having some problems. First off, here are some details. Installed: Via Disc latest Official Patch On Windows 7, with more than appropriate hardware to handle the game (ex: Oblivion runs ridiculously well) No firewall/anti-virus interferance Running Fallout as Administrator (Tried once without doing this just to check) Have tried two install directories so far Computer/C:/Program Files (x86)/Bethesda Softworks/Fallout 3/ C:/Fallout 3/ Have also tried to run in some different compatibility modes. The farthest I've gone without Fallout 3 freezing and becoming unresponsive is when my character wakes up and has to fight his/her way out of the vault (in the begining). I usually crash right around when I leave my room (Bearly get to see the first guard and accompanied radroaches). Lately I haven't been able to get past the initial character creation process (the birthing part). I've tried reinstalling and that didn't help. I was planning on getting some mods going, but need to figure out whats wrong with the vanilla game first. Help would be much appreciated.
  10. Haha. Looks like yet another I can get along with.
  11. ihoe...you beat me...lol well I'll give her a rateing then, and welcome!
  12. No comments? Now you have one.
  13. Well theres quite a bit of different views on this topic (all seem to be "Pro" mod creation. Kudos to Any flamers or "Nay sayers" for just walking away  ). Keep in mind this topic is for the Creation of a Sexual interaction for the PC with NPCs, we need to stop getting excited with all the possibilities we could get into and make the foundation first. After that when there are addtional mods each adding a new aspect to the base of the idea, we can all feel better about the game, where as our PC can "feel" relieved pixel-physically. ;) But I'll be a hypocrite just because. With all the examples and references for the potential mod, as well as some good movie references (even though this isnt Rottentomatoes, That helped with me having been movies starved), there needs to be an easier way for those who have the abilities to make this a reality (most preferable people well familiar with the G.E.C.K., and not newbies or amateurs like myself), to say "Hey I'll work on it! Chillax I'll keep my progress posted here [insert Link], if you got anything you need to say about it I'll read it at [insert link]" Really its a simple idea to let us mod-download addicts know that we can keep tabs on requests and know that someone is going to actually make an attempt to make an idea virtually real, without all this clutter off "Idea" expansions and how game potential is being pinned down my "The Man". And kudos to linehand on pg.13 for assembling many of our protests on gaming restrictings at adult level into a very potential and convincing document that could earn games the freedom they deserve by giving the ESRB a kick in the [insert sensitive anatomy part here] I had useful mod information for this topic but the whole linehand thing got me worked up and i lost it  repost soon when I remember. And remember to use your connections to get the talented modders to help us out! Huzzah for Professional grade mods to stick it in Bethesda's face!
