  1. Glasses would completely make sense, since glass exists in skyrim. If somebody could make them through the campfire framework, you could use them to light your campfire with the sun : ) Perhaps a magnifying glass mod that would enable you to interactively look at objects and books. This would especially be amazing for figuring out what order the marks are for dragon claws. Of course with glasses this would open up the opportunity have an optomotrist in each hold who would prescribe you glasses. Or you could have custom glasses/goggles made that would act like binocculars that you could toggle by flipping them up for normal view and then down for enhanced zoom view.
  2. You could make it immersive, making yourself a slumlord by hoarding up all the properties and then rent them out to npc's at ten times the cost. I believe that there is one mod that I remember seeing that would make you the High King of Skyrim, which by default would make you owner of all the lands. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2152/? I would also like to see a land/home ownership overhaul that would actually make sense, especially for immersion. Of course with no added houses, the hearthfire homeownership mechanic via aquiring property through a Jarl after said number of quests are completed does make sense given that they have full economic control of their hold. Some modded homes do have quests that make immersion far more interesting. For immersion purposes skyrim needs a realestate office as well as a posse of cold-hearted tax collectors.
  3. I was hoping that such a mod existed as well because I end up taking copious amounts of notes, especially when upgrading gear. I also want a map with an auto-draw function that would act as if you were filling in the map by hand as you explored. And indeed, if a brilliant modder were ambitious enough, a complete scribe function would be amazing. Complete with the ability to write your own books as well as edit already existing ones while still in game. Especially if it went balls deep and required crafting via a printing press. Lore tells us that every book must be hand written, game mechanics tell me that they are mass produced on a printing press : ) So yeah, if somebody can craft me a fully functional gutenberg press via campfire's framework, it would be much appreciated : ) As a side note- I have access to extremely high quality book textures scanned at professional quality standards. If requested I could upload texture assets for modders to work with. I work in a digitization lab for the california state library so the inventory roughly starts with publications around the 16th century. Also, if requested, I could attempt to photogrammetry a book so that you would have access to a high quality mesh and texture set. Most things we have are within the public domain, which means that we all own those assets. So use them, please : ) Sorry sommOZzatore for bogarting your post : )
  4. Hello everyone, I am just now beginning to get into modding but have been gaming on PC for over a decade. I have gone through the entire nexus inventory for SE so I am very familiar with what mods are out there to the best of my knowledge at least. As far as I know there is one mod that is related to the courier service and that one simply gives the courier a place to live whilst delivering messages to you with uncanny accuracy. My idea would be to have an interactive and immersive delivery service, not just for messages, but also items as well. Each hold would have its own station or just have one central station which would dispatch riders with important documents or items. As a bonus it would be amazing if you could join the courier service as a faction, as in a neutral party; a.k.a. "don't shoot the messenger". Therefore you would be trusted by all to faithfully not tamper with the mail and to deliver stuff to the right person in a reasonable amount of time. Additional quests could be created to accomodate the service where you have to deliver time sensative material to a specific npc before dire consequences or what have you. Get from point A to point B in a thunderstorm at night in a specified amount of time before fail. This also makes bandits more interactive since you have more to loose than just your own loot. Branching idea would be to have an interactive scribe service associated with the courier so that if you wanted to be a sneaky bastard you could gain skill in opening mail, forging documents, and faking seals. This would enable the player to directly alter documents or create new ones to trick and decieve enemies and people. An example being that you could invite an npc to meet another npc and then set up an ambush for either side or just wipe them out yourself. Another immersive idea would be to have travelling supply caravans with armed guards travelling from the ports to random holds and mines. It seems random to me that the economy of skyrim is closely related to the mining of ores, hence the many operational mines, there should be caravans hauling ore to the ports for export. If anybody is in the process of working on something similar to these ideas or would like to work on them please let me know as I am curious to see if others have had the same thoughts and ideas.
