I'm not sure if this is the best place to post this, if it's not I'd ask the moderators to move it to the appropriate form. So I'm going to preface this and say that I've never made a full and completed mod before (I know what a great way to start off). I have however taught myself the fundamentals of the Creation Kit and it is quite a powerful tool. I'd love to learn more, and I believe the best way to learn is to have real experience. So I'd like to make a proposal to anyone willing to listen...whether you are a new comer to modding, or a veteran. The only requirement is a willingness to collaborate, a willingness to have fun, and a small amount of time dedicated to the project. I have a great Idea...But I would not be just the idea man. I'll put in as much work and effort into the project as possible and is needed. I'll pick up the slack where needed and help keep things organized and functioning while also working with the team on things that need to be adjusted. The Proposal: Imagine a grand city, it's beautiful, vibrant, lush and full of exciting new people and a mix of cultures with a host of new lore and land marks to discover. Endless possibilities Imagine a journey that takes you on a grand quest to solve a big mystery and ends with you as the leader of that same beautiful city. A great big castle with more rooms than you can count on two hands, filled with servants waiting on you night and day, the finest wine, the best cut meat, and while you may have to address some concerns of the peasantry, you live the good life... That is what the mod would aim to achieve. An expansion that rewards you for being none other than the Dragonborn and saving the world from the death jaws of Alduin The World Eater. Details: The nitty gritty of this can be hashed out further once things start moving forward, and this mod would be very malleable. Meaning that things can change over time. While I have a specific idea for the layout and design of the city, This all can be changed and modified with better ideas. That's the best part of an idea, it can be changed and be expanded upon to be better. I don't want to go into too much detail now, I'd feel more comfortable discussing the full details with interested parties in private. What Am I Looking For? Anyone willing to put some extra work into making this project happen. If you are new to modding, or never have even touched the creation kit, that's fine and don't let it intimidate you, it's actually a lot of fun, I can impart as much knowledge as I can but I know of a lot great resources that can help guide you and start you on the right path. If you are a experienced modder and you are interested great!, All I ask is for patience, to listen to some of my ideas, to take them into consideration and help me if needed. I am looking for individuals with interest and/or skills in Landscaping, Exterior Design, Interior Design, Dungeon Design, Scripting using Papyrus and Quest/Lore creation. Even if you identify with just one of those, that's fantastic and I'd love to work with you. Concerns? Now you may think...working with a team is risky, it'd be easier to do it on your own, and group projects like this rarely succeed. Hello all, I'm having an issue with crashing to desktop when loading up a save or starting a new one. I'm actually right at Helen so I fairly recently started a new modded game that I optimized to perform better and have a better frame rate. I'm just not sure what the problem is here. I'll post my load order here to see if it can help. I also have Realvision ENB performance which I followed the steps to install that correctly. I also have SMME in my main Skyrim folder. Will update if it happens again EDIT: Well spoke too soon, the game basically decides when it wants to load up my save. Its scatter shot but it eventually loads, but still getting CTDS. I have a mod that replaces the smoke and music in the main menu can that be a problem? Also are ENBs still bad with Windows 10? Thats the OS my computer runs EDIT: Everything works smoothly now. Haven't had a crash in hours of playing.

UPDATE: I did not install the ENB correctly, as in I didn't follow the final steps, I am leaving a link to a great video that is very Useful in case anyone comes across this in the future

I've gotten a brand new desktop computer recently and I am just now getting back into modding Skyrim, I downloaded a bunch of mods (before I started a new game) Since I have a new computer with a Geforce GTX 980 I wanted to try and see how beautiful I could make Skyrim. I've run into a serious problem, though...With these mods installed and starting a brand new game, my game only runs at 1 frame per second, I used fraps to monitor performance and man...I've never seen that before. On any game. I don't believe it's the card because it's been working fine up to this point, it's well maintained and it has no problem play most modern games on Ultra settings. I'm going to put a full list down at the bottom so if anyone can see what could cause this bizarre problem please let me know. thanks. I'm going to try and start it up again to see if it duplicates the problem...Oh I should point out there was a split second where the game went up to 60 but dropped all the way back down to one frame, and the counter even showed 0 at one point...what the what? This may be a pretty basic question..(or a complex one?) But if you notice that all the saw mills have a lever that activates the saw blade, thus cutting the log. I know that the Lever is separate from the actual Saw Mill object, but I can't seem to figure out how to link the two, like Bethesda has it. I've looked in at the lumber mills created by them, but i couldn't see anything that would links the two up, or maybe I'm just missing something completely obvious? Any help would be appreciated. It also is a great skill builder for me to have the experience with utilizing a SDK, as I am going to school for game design. I began working on a simple-ish mod On Saturday and I've been working non-stop on it since. Saying that this mod is for me is putting it lightly. When this mod is finally complete I'll be uploading it to Nexus, and I would love some input on how it turned out, what did I do wrong, how could I Improve it and other noob mistakes I made. This is just the stepping stone to my planned big project. So with that out of the way let me explain what this mod is all about. The Lore: The Jarl Of Dawnstar has heard about your actions In Whiterun and your new name "The Dragonborn". To reward you for your actions(And hopefully boost Dawnstar's economy) The Jarl has offered you a piece of land, free of charge and free of taxes. The land is located next to Loreius Farm(It's also close to Heljarchen Hall). What this mod does: Adds a small settlement named Dovah's Homestead to The Pale near Loreius Farm,and Heljarchen Hall. Located North of Whiterun Adds a simple Player's Cabin: Minimal Storage, but features an Alchemy lab and an Arcane Enchanter. The cabin is very simplistic but is meant to feel apart of the more mundane aspects of Skyrim and frontier life.
