  1. ISSUE SOLVED!!!! ============================================================================================ I just ended up reinstalling. It was an old installation with tons of mods that have come and gone from my load order. Chances are some straggling files were causing issues. But it definitely had nothing to do with BLIND. I'm using it now with no issues.
  2. I thought that might be what it was. I doubt that that's what's causing the problem though. I may just have to try a reinstall.
  3. Let me start by saying that I have been playing this game for many years. And I have faced several hurdles time and time again that I found solutions to on these and other forums. But this one is puzzling. I seem to be getting several stutters when loading each part of the wasteland. And I'm fully aware that new objects need to load and may cause slight stutter but this is HIGHLY noticable frame drops with every few steps. Turning around in an already loaded area doesn't seem to cause the same issue. This is different from other stutter/lag issues I've read about in that I haven't had it before in the years I've been playing this game. I've attempted different settings (including various resolutions, grid settings, etc.) all on separate saves to be safe. Just about any common fix, I've tried it. The big flag for me is that when I open my console I see several lines reading "iBitmask rActorGBO" followed by values that seem to be resolutions, i.e. 256, 4096, etc. If anyone has any information I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm trying to get back into New Vegas so I can continue my modding from FO3 but this is a bit of a setback for me. Thank you.
  4. Obviously, one of the main gripes with FO3 is the lackluster main quest. I thought it would be interesting to insert more stages and add choices to it. I'm not looking to reinvent the wheel or rebuild the game from the ground up. What I'm talking about are small but interesting additions to the main questline. If you look at my mods, you'll understand what I bring to the table (voicing, light scripting, ideas). I'm a bit directionless at the moment but I think with a good scripter and a decent level designer ( <---- my worst nightmare) we could make the game more enjoyable for old and new players alike. If you are interested, email me at [email protected]. DISCLAIMER: Keep in mind that this is a free pursuit and the only motivating factors should be fun and enjoyment. I will not work with hard-asses and pretentious gamers. I am a college student and I'm sure most of you have your own tasks at hand. Let's just take small steps towards something good.
  5. I do not pretend to be authority on any of these matters, but I will give this opinion: Any organization that brings money as incentive for any and all who wish to be involved becomes oversaturated and often lazy. Much like the music industry. There is still good new music out there, but it is much MUCH harder to sift through all the crap to find it. The motivation for making mods (not full games that require funding) is best left in terms of enjoyment and creativity. That's my humble and possibly uninformed two-cents.
