Solved this problem a few times, but reinstalling DEF_UI and Valdacil's Item Sorting isn't working this time. Load order attached.

Just in case anyone else is having this issue, check your speaker settings and change according to the correct output device. ie// if you switched to a headset change from 7.1 surround (for example) to stereo.

After exceeding the animation limit I disabled creature animations, trimmed down some animations and spent considerable time solving CTD, which was resolved after 4 hours with a simple reboot. I re-installed and enabled the FNIS creature animations, but they will not load. 9308 animations, so I haven't broken the 10000 cap. Can't figure this one out, so any help out there would be awesomely appreciated.

This just started happening to me also, although I get past the opening video, the game crashes after about 2 minutes of loading screen. Haven't gone to the extreme of blowing everything out and starting from scratch,but have tried to use folder history restore to no avail. Problem seemsto have started after I tried to install new archive textures. Restoring the game originals don't fix anything. Vortex is constantly changing or discovering changed files.

Nearly 6 months since the original post and still no solutions? I'm having the same problem trying to install "Settlement Keywords Expanded" Hope someone knows the fix.

What happened to the install window and mod counter totals?

Increasing the cache AND configuring K-Lite Codec ffdshow audio show decoder to NOT use ffdshow in Fallout 3, which can be edited in the configuration, worked wonders. I also noted considerable improvements with fewer crashes by running chkdsk and defragging and forcing the use of swap file. Check ALL the recommendations in the tweak guide.
