Alright thank you. I hope there is a way to fix the problem without going back to vanilla and adding all the mods again (with there being so many, that would be REALLY annoying) but if my game is screwed up somehow by removing mods and TESVEdit, BOSS, and the SkyRe ReProccer aren't able to fix things, that may be the only option. I will see what I can do. As a last request, I am curious if you personally simply use BOSS to maintain load order or if you use that as a base and organize things to your personal taste from there. I know there are some people on here who suggest grouping the load order in sections for easier management (textures, adding items, overhauls, lighting, etc)

Okay so I cleaned all the mods that were flagged for dirty edits and removed unrecognized mods that weren't essential must-haves for now. Still getting crashing when rounding the corner of the path and RiverWood just comes into view. So it lasts longer now, but still crashes before getting to town. Any suggestions? and After doing all of that, you will want to use TES5Edit to do a general error check. Gopher has a very good video about how to use TES5edit, here. If you are still crashing after that, repost your list. See this is why I posted on here lol. Thank you for catching these things. I thought I was running the most recent BOSS version, and I didn't even catch the BirdsClean error. Thank you for that. I will watch that video again and see about cleaning the dirty edits. I didn't worry about it bc at one point Gopher says something about not cleaning mods until talking to the mod author and such and its more for mod authors to take care of. Maybe I misunderstood that. I do have a question about the improved utility for SKSE, could you elaborate on that maybe?

Bump for any ideas. Still a no go on getting it to work. I've read a bit that it could be at least one of the mods that increase creature/bandit spawns that causes the crash, but I'm wondering of any way to narrow down which it could be and I also know that my load order is not the best in the world so if someone would be so kind as to help a newbie organize things better to help prevent future problems, that'd be great

UPDATE: Just started a new game and it works perfect until you try to get to Riverwood and it crashes about halfway between the standing stones and the town. Any ideas what this means?

The only warnings that come up are from the Better Sorting mod: "Contains unexpected (or out of order) records." Which it had last night and didn't provide a problem. Haven't checked RAM usage but I can't imagine that I'm running out of memory quicker than Windows can pop up a warning about it (used to get that message when playing LoL). As for the high res texture pack, are you talking about the official one from Bethesda? I have heard that some people found more stability getting rid of that and just using the mods, but modders like Gopher seem to recommend layering mods on top of the hi res texture pack and the unofficial patch for it, then going for the Skyrim HD 2K textures and then layering on whatever other textures you want on top of that, overwriting where needed. Like I said, I'm new to all this so I know enough to get me in trouble, but that's about it lol

You most likely have to change the load order of the mods you add. Idk enough about it to really tell you how it should be, but I know load order is the cause of 98% of CTD problems (most likely including the one I'm dealing with right now) so I'd start there. Hope that helps

Only thing I did between last night and today is I rebooted to install Windows updates. That's it. Could that really have affected it?

Been troubleshooting as much as I can but I don't really know enough to be of much use on my own. I'm assuming it's a load order issue of some sort, just kinda confused why it refuses to work today after working perfect yesterday.... Normally, I like to solve these kinds of problems on my own with general troubleshooting and checking with forums and such but I'm at my wit's end with this issue and I'm tired of walking down the path from Helgen Keep to Riverwood over and over and it keeps crashing :sad: PS. Yes, I have used BOSS and the Reproccer for SkyRe. And yes, I know my load order is probably horrendous and not grouped properly at all, but as I just started modding (after a lot of research into what mods I like and such), I know enough to get started but I don't know enough about it to know exactly what category a certain mod goes in to group them in a more organized manner and still keep the order correct.
