  1. Ok moving it to [interface] worked.... No more pressing press R to take all items in inventory when there are lot of items.... Thanks again for pointing this edit out. Now if only there was a way to just auto take unique/legendary weapons instead of always needing to click "take".
  2. Ada is a pain. Not there when you need her and always in your line of sight when you don't. Gets even worse when giving her Aussaultron legs. I thought this might be a good way to make her more efficient, but the only result was more of a nuisance. I would have just left her at Sanctuary once I knew where I had to go if I didn't need her to unlock those special door mechanisms. And she never shuts up.... Though she is definitely a good fighter but so am I...
  3. Well something changed and maybe the last update is the reason or maybe I installed something that I'm unaware of. Anyway where I was able to remove a set map marker by just clicking on an empty place on the map no longer works. If I click on an empty spot of the map it will set a custom map marker and I cannot remove it but only move it. Oh well...
  4. Ok thanks.... I'll try that because it didn't work under menu.
  5. Ok great... I'll give it a try. The one other question I have is does it matter where in the ini I put this since it is a setting that doesn't currently exists? I'm guessing maybe under [Menu]? Guess I can give it a shot and see.... BTW I'll actually put it in the custom.ini like all of my edits. Will look like so... [Menu] uConfirmContainerTakeAllMinimumItems=999999 Not sure I will need that high of a number but it what was shown in the example I googled so I just used it
  6. Well to be blunt I hate using any companion unless I'm forced to do so because of a quest requirement. They just bug the crap out of me always in the way and screwing up the menu when I'm trying to scavenge certain containers or activating certain switches. Most noticeably was friggin' Ada while doing Automatron. Not sure why I had so many issues with her but she drove me crazy.... I prefer to be loner when playing FO games. But to each their own.
  7. Wish I had seen this mod because that's one of the little things that bugs me. Hopefully somebody will remember the mod if it still exists.
  8. I'm just totally friggin' amazed by all of this. I can understand people who come here to Nexus to voice their anti DD crap because they are most likely console dweebs from that pathetic site that many here have come to loathe. But why so many here who appear to have been members for quite a long time according to their post history keep coming down on DD just blows my mind. If you really think that taking a passive route to all of this will really work then you alI really do need a reality check. I personally support everything DD has done so far because without a doubt he's 100% justified and I actually I hope he takes it up a notch higher if for no other reason than it will piss certain people off even more. Which by the way without a doubt will just put a smile on his face.
  9. Well you can search and read about CTDs all over these forums and you will see that this will be something that may be very hard to isolate and fix. Especially with only getting random CTDs that are not repeatable. Wish there was something else to offer but CTDs are a real pain in the butt and almost a way of life with this game. Again read other threads and maybe try suggestions offered by others. Believe me there will be many suggestions. I know because I have replied to numerous posts myself offering help. About the only thing I can really offer is to do a lot of saves. But then again if you are playing in survival mode then that's not an option.
  10. Or maybe if new drivers were recently installed you may need to roll back to an older version...
  11. Well I currently have 364.72 installed and not having any issues that I can determine. My FPS is pretty consistent around 60 in most areas. Get virtually no lagging at all. I'm currently running 122 active mods...
  12. Well the problem isn't just the fact that the mod authors have pulled their mods which they have every right to do. And I think they have every right to b&@*$ about it as vocally as they want. It seems like it's the only way that the issue gets real attention. And I totally 100% support every single thing that DD does in this regard. People get all worked up over it and that's a good thing. In the end hopefully Beth, Sony and Microsoft will finally get the point of it all. But the bigger problem is that mod authors will stop modding all together or at least not offer any mods they might create in the future even if everything eventually gets worked out. Though I truly hope that those that had stopped modding will eventually return. But time will tell. This whole affair really pissed off a lot of people.
  13. Well I really enjoy and like it. I don't love it at least not yet like I really did for FO3 and in a lesser degree FONV. Maybe after the Nuka World DLC and some more good land and side quest mods I might change my mind. Too much stuff directed to settlement building which just isn't my thing. I only do minimum settlement stuff and only if I need to do it because of a quest or something. Also I like playing as a loner. Hate having a companion with me at all and again only do so if required by a quest. I always have played the FO games as a loner explorer/scavenger and this game works pretty good in that regard. Also I like being a bad ass and kill things so again it works well for that. Also everybody gets all worked up over power armor. Again not my thing. I prefer just good simple basic armor. Power Armor is just too overboard for my taste. But hey to each their own. The final factor probably in why I like this game as much as I do is that I was born and raised in the Boston area so it is sort of neat playing a game where all of the locations are familiar to me. Excluding the Glowing Sea of course.
  14. Well you can start a new game and install something like War of the Commonwealth. Then you can roam around the world chasing after all of the firefights everywhere. And they will be everywhere depending on how good your PC hardware is and how high you have the settings. This will pass some time and hopefully that Save Game Cleaner will show up soon. Also there are some decent quest and land mods showing up that you can mess with as well. This way you can stay away from the main story line you were currently following.
  15. Auto updating mods? Like so many people think auto updating the game is such a popular and acceptable thing. Personally I prefer that mods not auto update. Like RaffTheSweetling, I like to update them myself after I see what the update offers. Sure sometimes it can take a little bit of time and work but I still prefer it over having the mod updates just auto install.
  16. Well it's working fine for me. Are any of you using F4SE? If so then you need to update it. Use the release that was made for the beta.
  17. Well the new non-beta update was released today.....v1.6.3. Fortunately the F4SE released for the beta is working....
  18. Well I'd say that you are definitely not in the minority but in the majority. I have long load times as well. Makes it really a pain if you are testing mods and need to do lots of reboots. Have not seen many if any people post about not having long load times... And if somebody did post and say they are not having this issue I wouldn't believe them. To me it's not really a pain, it just makes my budget for coffee and tobacco shrink rapidly as I tend to smoke more and saunter off to the kitchen to pour a fresh cup of coffee much more often  Man then you need to quit playing this game before it kills you... Or you run out of smokes and coffee...
  19. Maybe it wasn't just the issue of mod theft. Maybe it's that he just got tired and fed up with all of the console twerps constantly bugging and criticizing him or something.
  20. Well I was using his Scavenged NCR Armor mod and really liked it a lot. But I screwed up and accidentally deleted it when I was messing around with NMM. Figured I'd just go download it again. Oh well. And I just got lazy and had never saved it thinking I could always get whenever I needed to.
  21. Well CTDs do suck. It's becoming and has been a way of life with not only FO4 but the other FO games as well. But with the other FO games CTD issues seemed to get fixed for the most over time. Whenever I encounter one that repeats itself I will try going around it and maybe come at it from a different direction. Sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn't. Or I'll leave the area all together and try returning later. Again sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn't. If I encounter a CTD when trying to open or unlock a door I'll sometimes try to tcl my way thru the door. Again sometimes this works... Well you know the rest. And finally I just give up all together and assume there must be possible corruption with my current saves meaning going back to a save where I don't see the problem or even saying screw it and start a new game play thru.. So there really is a major issue with the game that's for sure and I'm amazed when people will post saying that they never have any CTDs or crashes or problems whatsoever after hundreds of hours of game play. Guess they must have the perfect combination of hardware and mods.
  22. Well I doubt that the issue is only with def_ui. I've been using that mod for a long time and I have all of the DLCs and I've never had an issue with it other than when the 1.5 update first was released and def_ui like other hud type mods needed a patch. After it was fixed for the update it's been flawless at least for me. So maybe it appears that def_ui is the problem but I'll bet that it's really something that is maybe conflicting with def_ui or vice versa.
  24. I no longer ever edit any INI other than the custom.ini. And everything I've added has worked perfectly. Now I'm not saying every edit out there will work in the custom.ini. As noahdvs has stated resolution edits in his custom.ini didn't work for him. I've never had the need to do resolution edits myself so I can't add anything to that. As far as categories. All you need to do is just add a category if it doesn't already exist. If in doubt as far as exactly where the category should be put just look at the other INIs and see where the categories are located. Does the category order really matter? Maybe somebody really in the know can verify that one or the other.
  25. Ok thanks for the reply. The main reason for this thread was to find out if maybe there was some rational reason for not just editing the Fallout4Custom.ini instead of the other two INIs. But what you said is most probably correct. But as far as not much to say about the subject? Well maybe just talking about it will make some people aware and maybe result in less ignorance...
