I know it's been 4 years since the last post. if by any chance is someone playing the tomb part... I keep getting this run ( tohhe_spellhook ) in chat window, and I have no clue what it means or how do I get rid of it. I assume it have something to do with some autobuff system like Mrop. Any help would be appreciated.

Why New Vegas is better then Fallout 3
Tahadar replied to ModelV's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Discussion
Even my english is still weak, I'd like to throw my 2 bottlecaps here. I finished both games a couple of times, trying different ending and different builds. Like many other fans of F1/F2 I was deeply disapointed of how a RPG game become a shooter, but I had to cope with it. I accepted the combat sistem, the VATS... basically everything. What I could not get used with was the lack of depth in storyline, dialogues, lack of descriptions and the forced mouth-feed. In F1 I had to save a Vault full of people. In F2 a village. (and a lot others in process) In F3 and FNV I had to do what? To save my life. Thats all. Nothing to push me forward. Finding my father? After he left me alone in a place where he knew I would be object of punishment from frustrated overseer - because of his actions? No way. Revenge on the guy who shot me? I'm alive, I'm in a town where eveyone loves me, I'm fine here, thank you very much. Now... F3 vs FNV F3 Pros: - grim ambient/humour - lots of ruins - lack of weapons / ammo Cons: - stupid locations - bad/repetitive dialogues - retarded storyline FNW Pros: - hardcore mode - companion quests - factions Cons: - too many weapons (types & number) and items everywhere - too much life in wasteland - unrealistic storyline choices, really bad humour ... and something that annoys me greatly at both games: 200 years after the war, in a place where no one dared to walk, I lockpick a safe. And in the safe are bottlecaps and geko steaks. Or iguanas on the stick. Why would a normal person keep mutated food and nuka cola caps in a locked safe, before the bombing??? -
I am find the game too easy :(
Tahadar replied to Mcsalmon's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Discussion
Hardcore settings (very important), a single companion (just for pack mule - and it can't be Boone or Ed-e), no fancy OP moded weapons and no SPECIAL / duble perk exploits. Increased spawns, play anti NCR & anti Legion. Do Quary at level 10, Cottonwood Cove at 15, Deathclaw Promotory at 20 and Forlon Hope at 30. Then come back and tell us if the game is too easy. -

Just a small update with a couple of visuals - inside and outside. http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d108/Rjak/ScreenShot14.jpg http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d108/Rjak/ScreenShot15.jpg http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d108/Rjak/ScreenShot16.jpg http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d108/Rjak/ScreenShot17.jpg http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d108/Rjak/ScreenShot18.jpg http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d108/Rjak/ScreenShot19.jpg

Creepiest thing that happened to you?
Tahadar replied to IndorilTheGreat's topic in Fallout 3's Spoilers
I tend to not look in back too much, hell, there are Fawkes and Cross there supposed to watch my back. Each one have 200 stims, so they just don't drop like fies. Not to mention that are overpowered anyway. So I'm just exploring random parts of DC in subways, and I see a door. I enter in sneak mode and I see like 4 tangos on my radar. We are 3 they are 4, no prob. 1-st corner on left. No one there. Stairs. I go up on the stairs just to hear "No more games!" and the screen stats blinking red. I almost jumped from the chair. Wtf??!! I turn around to see an Overlord with a 3 beam, another one with a super sledge and some other mutt with a minigun or a gatling. No Fawkes or Cross. Is a dead end, with a door I did not noticed, damn it. I've spend a lot of stims in there till I could drop one of the muts to free the way to the door. I manage to get out, Fawkes and Cross are there, in front of the door, pacefully staring at eachother. And that green dumbass thinks is nice to tell me "Our steps must be measured!" Please. -
@sumoftwosins Yeee-haa! You've just brighten my day, sumoftwosins. Is 09.30 here and I was checking the forums. I already feel better. I have to admit, even I love the ideea of having a palpable impact in game world (is my baby after all) I was started to think at abandoning it. Is a huge task even for an experienced scripter/coder. For a clueless person like me would've been next to impossible. Well... I'm not THAT clueless lol, but I regullary get stuck in code lines. I will PM you with my contact details (ym, e-mail, etc) to not spam the forums with trash. You really have NO ideea what joy you provided. @BadPenney Mate, is really my job. I mean my real life job, not a hobby. And maybe - just maybe - when the work advances a bit, you might decide to join? The offer still stands. 6 eyes are better than 4. Also it helps to have people with different mentalities in team - i'm sure you know what I mean, but my english is not that good to explain properly.

Not quite a fair challenge, but who said life is fair? Heh. I've gotten "that far" because is my job lol. I'm what you call in english "a graphic artist". About reworking... of course I started another version of bunker as soon I arrived home. Figured that must look like a place where some ex-soldiers live, not like some vault ocupied by a gang of raiders. Must be clean and ordered. Currently I'm changing the furniture with a more cazon one and re-arranging the bio lab and physics lab. Yes, I realise frustration and what amount of work we are talking here. And I'm totally clueless about a lot of things. As an example: I have like 4 versions of MercHQ. Pics are from 1-st one. The second one have lights and machines in labs (one quest is to raid/aquire old computers from an old vault) I have no ideea what I shoud do. To "hide" the computers and lights? To have both cells loaded and somewhat replace the old one with the upgraded one? As far I know there is no place in game that changes drastically with quest NPCs inside. Also I was planning to line up the mercs/soldiers for an inspection. You know, like in any army. They keep talking with me when I come close (I use umpa's poses to make them stand still). Darn ye, man... why you HAD to go there? Now is spinning in my head. Grrrr.

I can do the visuals, no prob. But someone else must do the coding coz I suck at it.

Here are a couple of screen shots. There is only minimal light, of course, you need to provide certain parts to repair the fusion generator. I also removed the people, I don't know if is better to put them there and assign scripts after or to write scripts for every one then to place them inside. http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d108/Rjak/ScreenShot4.jpg http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d108/Rjak/ScreenShot5.jpg http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d108/Rjak/ScreenShot6.jpg http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d108/Rjak/ScreenShot7.jpg http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d108/Rjak/ScreenShot8.jpg

Ty for info. Will check em when I arrive home.

I'm not gay or something, but I was wondering why no one bothered to make a nude model for males too. Or at least without those t-shirts. Is allways funny to see a raider in badlands armor and when you loot him to see the blue t-shirt lol. I do use type3 dimonised & the one with pubian hair (forgot the name) but sometimes the skin color does not match. There are certain NPCs that are perfect (Sarah, Vernison, Lucy West, etc) and other that not (Nova, Dawn, Clover, Cherry).

1-st of all, I have a limited number of characters in topic description, so I could not explain properly. I suck at coding. I can do editing, graphics and such. All related to visuals. As a matter of fact 90% are already done, heh. Let me explain. I was allways frustrated of fact that your repetable mini quests had no impact. You bring scrap metal... then what? People are still complaining. You bring tech to Outcasts, they still wear the same armors, and so on. So... let's presume that some Enclave elite troops/scientists are deserting. They are somewhere in the Wasteland, they do have the knowldedge and some basic defense sistems. Are somewhat fortified in a bunker. Not a big one but still a bunker, in a good defensive position. Ammo is depleting, armors and weapons are falling apart, no food, no water, no stims. There are aggro spawns nearby. They are desperate to find a leader, but not ANY leader. You find about them somehow... let's say a note on a corpse near V101 and you decide you can be their leader. Like I said, I have the bunker (underground part and field part), took me a bit of time to make it and I like it. (I'm an "allways redo" addict, I'm never happy with my work) What I need is someone to help with the code. Well. not to help. To actually do the code/dialogues from scratch. There is a LOT more. Basically you will need to provide them with armors, weapons and ammo. Also stims, food and/or water. In exchange the scientists will research for you (schematics, medicine, etc), the soldiers will defend the HQ. If you provide them with enough materials they will build more advanced defenses and eventually they will be able to develop new weapons / armor and send out raiding patrols. Btw, you will need to PAY them too. Is there someone with enough time and pacience to work on this with me? Like I said, I'm only a designer/editor, but I can do wonders if I have enough time. I'd love to see this working. Send me PMs or post here. Thank you, Tahadar

Mind if I try to recap things here? Outcast Faction - grab any piece of tehnology in order to "preserve" (read "gain absolute monopol") it Lyon Faction - aka BoS - grab any piece of tehnology in order to "defend people" (I failed to see ANY BoS patrol - quest related one are excluded). They fight muties for 20 yrs, they have all the data in the computers but they never been able to figure out where the muties come from. In 20 friggin yrs. That say a lot about their cognitive capacities and IQ. Side note: if you are in perception range of Citadel guards and a mutt is attacking you out of their range, you wont get any help. If that happens at Fort Independence all 3 Outcasts there will help you (that ofc, after you bring 50 points of tech to Cassadin ). Same with the patrols in Wasteland. BoS is defending people? PLEASE. Enclave Faction - they have their own tech, their own planes, their own army. They CAN hold key positions in Wasteland (main roads intersections). If you wonder why they look so weak, is because their gear is in very poor condition 10-15% at best. They send patrols, they basically need no external help, are self suficient. Mutant Faction - no comment Raider Faction - no comment Slaver Faction - no comment Yes, I've played F1 and F2, I hated Master and Enclave equally. Yeah, they are BAD there. There is no moral ambiguity, there are no grey choices in F1/F2. But Bethsoft made a game for adults not for kids. Yeah, is a shooter but at some points are choices. Even the impact is minimal for game world, those decisions are made for adult minds, not for kid minds. Kill Harold and respect his wish for rest or think at greater good and accelerate his growth? Help those poor 3 ghouls to live in TT and force 4 humans to die in Wasteland (at that moment you dont know Roy will kill all the residents)? Blow up Megaton and those weirdos from Church of Atom or let a potential town of ghouls to exist? Kill that green mutt in holding cell or free him? Bottom line. Yes in game I entered myself (1-st time, that is) in that room and pushed buttons with my own hand. No I did not released the virus. But IRL I would force Fawkes or Charon or the robot to do that for me, and also instruct them to relase the virus. Prolly the mutt or the ghoul would not do it, but the robot would have to obey my commands. No, it never crossed my mind the ideea to push a woman into certain death for me. So Sarah would be safe no matter how annoying is ingame.

That would be Tahadar McNuke (sic) with his own personal bodyguard in TT. http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d108/Rjak/ScreenShot0.jpg And that's again him sniping raiders across the river. http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d108/Rjak/ScreenShot2.jpg He's not "good" or "evil". He just knows what's best for him - and/or his health and acts acordingly. Living near a ticking bomb was not good, so he detonated it. Having ghouls as neighbours was even worst so he viped out the vermin. Helping people is nice, so he helped Fawkes to escape from his cell. Is he a bad person? Naah. Just a lucid one. :P

Fawkes & me in Big Town. Saving Red. Train the villagers with Small Guns. Muties are coming, everyone rush to the bridge. I take position in the house left of the bridge to be able to snipe the muties. Hell breaks lose, everyone is shooting - ofc with very little effect. Red still have the Enclave Power armor I gave in rescue mission and is doing great with a Chinesse Assult Rifle. Then the dumbass Fawkes notice the muties and pulls his gatling laser. He was in my back - of course. I take friendly fire from that stupid gatling. I crouch. Useless. I try to turn around and TALK to idiot. All I get is "pickpocket Fawkes" option... and the gatling is slowly eating my HP bar. I smash the VATS key and I desperatly try to remember when I did my last save. Heh, when I left Germantown Police HQ. Screw it! I blow Fawkes head off with 2 shots. All town turn hostile. WTF?? I can kill my own mutie, can I?
