Okay, I got the 120Alpha2 and it works perfectly. Thank you neomonkeus. @Matthiaswagg: I extracted to a new folder renamed to NifSkope120A2 and it works fine from there.

Same issue, different cause. Solved: Render -> Settings... Auto Detect Game Paths failed on use but created three defaults. ./ ./textures ./skins/standard This is fine but it actually needed to be retyped with \ instead of /
