  1. Hi. I'm running into an issue with the Enhanced Character Edit mod that I believe is caused by either having an option or patch for the custom races mod or the race compatibility mod unchecked. Has anyone else ever run into faces that look similar to these when trying to edit/create a character? http://www.myimg.us/images/01.24.15/46840.jpg I think it has something to do with either racecompatibilityuskpoverride.esp or the uskp patcher for race compatibility.esp. The other two esps that might be involved are customraces.esp and racecombatibility.esp. I say this because I noticed this bug and saw that either racecompatibilityuskpoverride.esp or the uskp patcher for race compatibility.esp was unticked and made sure to activate them, then the problem was resolved. Now though, all four esp's are activated and I'm still getting this odd mesh. Has anyone else had this problem?
  2. I missed you in my quote somehow, if I could figure out how to edit and add your quote I would lol. I know how you feel about playing for hours. I did that when I first got it. If I get really into it, I can go for hours. I also spend a huge amount of time with mods and getting them to play nice together. Luckily I am getting treatment, but thanks for the concern. :) I've seen the same therapist for all these years so she knows me well. Treatment has definitely made a huge difference.
  3. Oh, I love to read as well. I agree. A good book can just block out the entire world and suck you in! I felt like that about Skyrim when I finally bought it. Before I dabbled in some free to play mmorpgs and mmos and while I still have them on my hard drive, I haven't played them in ages. Cept for Pangya, my fantasy golf game.. lol. Skyrim just.. it's so overwhelming. It's like 10 different games wrapped into one game, depending on how you wanna play your game. Glad you found ways to deal with your depression. Just keep a lookout on if it suddenly gets worse. That happened to me. I started out with dysthymia which is like a lesser type of depression, which then bloomed into full blown clinical depression. Sucks. I can just get lost in the world of Skyrim though. I enjoy listening to the npcs stories too (have interesting NPCs mod installed). I don't have chronic fagigue syndrom but I am pretty much exhausted every day. It's really sucky. So many things link back to depression or fatigue. I also have a crap thyroid, and while I take meds for it, the doc told me my tiredness coudl still be the result of it. Or it could be from my depression, or a side effect of the med I take for anxiety or the one I take for depression. So it's like.. well shoot.. Hope you might feel better. Have you looked into getting a sunlight simulating light? I got one at costco called the happy light, and it seems to help me a bit. I leave it on for a half hour when I get up in the morning.
  4. Depression can be really hard to understand. It can strike people that seem to have everything together and have a wonderful life. It's really sinister in that respect. I've had bouts of it pop up for no damn apparent reason, and I take an anti depressant. Of course, crap like exercise, therapy and a support network are also huge. I'm a member of my gym and I use the cross trainer thing for like an hour 6 days a week. Love that thing. I agree with your thoughts on Skyrim too. I get to just live in another world for a few hours. It's so immersive and fun. I just discovered the 'live another life' mod and am thrilled with it. I decided to challenge myself and make my way from the abandoned prison to Riverwood without ever looking at the map. Only road markers (I have point the way installed though, so I have more markers thank goodness). It took forever, and I actually ran into Whiterun first, so I think I went the wrong way, but it was a hoot. lol
  5. Hi. I've suffered from depression and anxiety for around 9 years. I've found that Skyrim often lets my brain relax enough to shut off the constant 'worryworryworry' that seems present at all other times. I was curious if anyone else uses the game for therapeutic purposes like this, and not just for fun? (All though, I do play it for fun as well lol)
  6. Umm I know you probably don't want another mod.. but I use this and it fixes any issues with speed: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/9553/
  7. I don't know very much, but I don't think you can manually add a masterlist to Loot. I looked at the settings and it gets the masterlist from a repository online. I could be wrong though.
  8. Yeah, there's at least one mod on here that changes the weight so 1 septim = 1 carryweight. But I hadn't thought of that. It's very true. Skyrim has no paper money, you're literally carrying around a ton of metal. lol. I like playing real life-ish in the game somtimes. It's a fun challenge. The game world is so freaking huge though. I mean it's awesome.. but I seriously get lost. If it was real life I would be found starved to death in the woods somewhere.
  9. Sometimes I like to play ultra realistic. Even with mods to adjust carry weight and item weight, though, it still comes out to a person carrying around like.. 5 swords, a shield or two, a few light clothing sets, 2 battle axes, that gigantic wooden boll you grabbed on accident, and a ton of clutter. I mean, realistically, if you don't have a knapsack mod (thank you TreasureChest for your awesome knapsack btw).. it just wouldn't be possible to run around carrying all that crap. On the other hand, the game world is freaking HUGE so being super realistic means you will never accomplish anything. lol. I use a knapsack and the Bandolier bags and pouches to make it look more realistic. Sometimes I think it would be fun to try a game with a ultra realistic carry weight though. Probably wouldn't get very far in it.. but it could be fun. I'm going to see if I can find a mod that let's you add your own points on the map and have them stay there. That way I can stash crap in some hidden cove (and be able to find it again). I think it would also be cool to find an animation mod where you see your character take out a map, then have it cut to the map view. Gonna see if something like that exists. There's just so many ways you can play this game. It's so overwhelming at times.
  10. What is this mythological "end" you speak of. I'm still obsessed with role playing and just the entire game world. My highest level is like.. 16. lol
  11. I wondered if this idea came to anyone else. I like roleplaying with Skyrim, and it crossed my mind that I could use a mod to start out as a child, and then after hitting a certain level, 'grow' my character into an adult via the console (or even a teen at first, if I tweek the height and other things). I kinda got the idea from the sims, where people will make up stories for their families and all that. Thought it would be cool to take screen caps from when I started, to where I end up. Maybe the kid starts out in an abandoned orphanage or something.
  12. Thanks guys! :) I have my system already built, so I can't really replace any parts at the moment. Skryim auto detects and sets my settings to ultra, and the game runs fine. I was just curious because I know some enb presets are way more demanding than others. I'm currently trying out RealVision, using the performance option. (Even with the full option, I wasn't having difficulty, but I figured it would save some demand.) How demanding is RealVision as enb presets go? I also have speedfan and realtemp running at all times, and have configured speedfan so my CPU and GPU stay a bit cooler.
