I fully disagree with this. I can take a ballpoint pen apart, grab another inkwell, and put it in the original pen sheathe. That doesn't necc mean I understand how an inkwell works, let alone the ballpoint. But I can take it apart and make it work again. In another pen, if I desire. Heck, I can even change the color. You really are the Jeweler.

I had that same experience. I felt like I missed something, like they were trying to get free and I couldn't figure out how to free them.

I had something similar happen, when I took Stoker with me into ShadowCrest Vineyard. I sat down on the toilet, and he bolted from the room! It took me a stunned second to remember that he was just executing his AI package and looking for another chair to sit on!

Are you launching a save game that includes the latest mods you downloaded? Have you tried starting a new game? Is that also slow? Do you have an old save game and have you tried running that without any changes? (run it with the same mods activated as when you saved it) Are you using OBMM or the like? (you should be) What is your load order and mods? (OBMM will tell you) Have you (or anyone else possibly without your knowledge) made any changes whatsoever to your PC since this started, no matter how unlikely it may seem to be related to this? Including, or especially, Windows updates. Do you have antivirus software installed and is it current? Can you tell that I do software support? I've run across some references to save game "bloat" on this site, but haven't experienced it myself although I am over 200 hours and level 35 in my game. But I think I recall that there are some utilities that will clean a bloated save game? Might be worth looking into... if it's your save game. Good luck.

If you google "synonyms for paladin" or "female warrior names" you can find a lot of great classes (not specifically female) or names. For female warrior classes in particular, you could settle for valkyrie, amazon, virago, or better yet look up these words in other languages. I think there's a console command to change the name of your custom class... You can read about showclassmenu Change Class here: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Console, but be warned! I have not personally tried this, so no idea if their trick works or if you can rename it here. Anybody?

Is this the sort of thing you mean? This just happened to me, problem solved, but I"m curious if it happened to anyone else. I got to the Nobleman's Daughter quest in Fighter's guild, and went to Rugdumph's estate to talk to him, and got CTD every time I approached the estate. Thing is, I think I discovered this place long before the quest, but all I did was walk through it, didn't kill anyone or do anything crazy. But suddenly, my game is stuck, I can't get through this quest. Solution (or cheat): I saved the daughter before speaking to him, and then I used the console command to summon him to me outside of his estate, and completed the quest. Then, I could walk through his estate no problem. But I'm still curious if this was a bug in the game or just in my game or in one of the mods I"m using.

My son is 12, started a year ago.

My son: when i had just got to kvatch i didn't know how to cast a spell, so i randomly hit buttons and accidently cast some lightning touch on a guard... i immediately got mobbed by guards. I owned them >.<

My son told me there were only 16 Oblivion Gates, so I went around closing gates until I found out that they keep spawning until you finish the main quest! But now my character is unbeatable and has fame of like 150.
