There will be plenty of choice for you to hoarde your wares. There will most likely be an opportunity for you to purchase a home in any of the major towns. If none of those suit you, create one! (When we get our hands on the Creation Kit of course)

Wow... massacre :pirate: Something tells me there's a direct correlation between 847 people killed and his 48,111(!) bounty :ohdear:

So I was looking through the manual...

Can we get a confirmation? Someone that's playing hit F5 then F9! Tell us what happens! -
How long does pre-loading usually take?
Tcafitra replied to TheMysteriousTraveler's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I timed it, it took me 27 minutes. That's why I get games from Steam, most times it's quicker to d/l than it is to actually go to the store and get it! -
What country gets the Steam activation first and what time is it(gmt+-

Hmmm yea if you go by which country gets to Midnight Thursday first, New Zealand wins! The funny thing is PST will be one of the last places to unlock (Feel really bad for anyone in Hawaii, unlocking almost an entire day later...) -

We all do. There was a bit of confusion at first because Steam had it set to PST (GMT - 8 ) but now it will change itself to 12:01AM local time, whatever that is for you. -
Your Hours of Devotion - The Elder Scrolls
Tcafitra replied to Nebrule's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I honestly have no clue. Adding all the hours I've played Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind & Oblivion... Guessing in the 500-1000 range -
Bugger. 30 mins to d/l, just under 2 days left to wait. Will probably try to bank up some sleep, I surely won't be getting much this weekend...

Video Leaks ... from Reviewers - that did not take long.
Tcafitra replied to AnnieFrell's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I won't watch this either. I'm trying to be very careful, avoiding spoilers now there are official copies floating around in the public. I may just lay low until release just to be safe. We've waited this long, I don't wanted to stumble across some D-bag dumping the entire main storyline and ruining it. -
Yep, I've been playing it with a few mates to kill time until Skyrim is released and it's surely addictive fun. A bargain of a tenner (Sterling). Right now we're busy doing all the challenges to gather trophies that decorate your tavern :)

I sure hope this is the case for those of us across the pond (UK here), although on Steam Skyrim is listing as unlocking itself @ 12am PST

Quick Batman, to the Wiki!

I feel a new meme coming on...

It is sad, TES: Arena is what got me into The Elder Scrolls series (not that I knew at the time they were going to keep making them). I remember getting stuck for days at certain points trying to figure out the damn puzzles to retrieve another piece of the staff. This was back in the days before the internet was how it is now and you could just google the answer!

Just like others have stated I think some people are getting Minimum and Recommended specs confused. A minimum spec is usually what a company considers bar minimum to play the game. Low graphics settings, sub-optimal play experience. Of course some people will be able to get away with playing the game with PCs that don't meet these specifications, but it's a case of CYA on Bethesda's part if you can't. Recommended specs are usually what I would consider 'Minimum decent play experience'. I look at these for decent framerates at mid-high graphics settings. All depends on how much we're allowed to tweak the graphics settings. They'll never say 'Have this to run our game on maximum settings'. That's just asking for trouble. 6GB HDD space has me a bit concerned, as I stare at my Rage folder properties showing 22GB...(cross fingers for separate downloadable high-res texture pack, or wait for the modding community to take of it).

Can I suggest you insert 'character' into your subject title? With Bethesda teasing us with PC specs right around the corner when people see 'build' they have computers on their mind ;)

I treated myself for my birthday back in Feb. by building a whole new rig. i7-2600k @ 4.5GHz 8GB 1600MHz RAM 2 GTX 570s in SLI 128GB SSD Waiting to pound Skyrim's system reqs. into submission!

Something to keep me busy 'til it comes out?
Tcafitra replied to BuckeyeTiba's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Right now I'm killing time until Skyrim by playing Vindictus. It's an interesting game, will probably keep me going for another month easy. The best part about it is it's free! -
Condolences on your multiplayer experience. What you've described is pretty much what keeps me from leaving my HL2:DM safety net. The select few servers I play on are cozy and friendly, but that might be because they're mainly FR or DE servers and I don't know what's being said hahaha.

I call his bluff. Seriously there's plenty of other posts about this like everyone else has said. If you've gone through all the information that's posted all over the place and your reaction is this, well that's your loss.

Get what exactly? It's not released yet is it? I wish it was, I logged well over 100 hours on Nehrim.

I hope one of the 'unique features' is that my spouse will keep my house tidy and organized, like I can throw a bunch of books on a bookshelf and they will line them up nicely. I don't know how many hours I wasted making my places look nice and arranging, if I could just throw it all inside and let a NPC organize it for me that'd be wonderful.A roeplaying aspect could be put in that would make your spouse start to get cross with you if you do that too many times though without doing something nice, like bring them a gift or compliment them.I really agree with you. But what if you wanted to have a rough-looking house, and then your spouse goes and clean it all up. I guess you could have dialog options to turn it on or off. "Do you mind tidying it up while I'm out SHOUTING AT DRAGONS?! Sorry for shouting inside the house, pick all of that up." "Don't bother tidying up the house, I'll probably accidentally shout again. You might want to wear a helmet when I get home."

Being left-handed, I'm going to make all my chars in Skyrim lefties so nothing's really going to change control wise.

I'm sure someone will make a mod manager for Skyrim. That being said if you think about it, creating a mod manager and packaging mods into packs like FOMods would be a good way to deliver mods to consoles, something Bethesda's trying to do. To be able to easily enable/disable mods is key, as well as the mod manager being able to tidy up after itself if a mod is removed or corrupts the game in any way.
