  1. Ok I havent found any good way to copy my vortex complete modded game from one computer to another without almost having to reinstall a lot. So my thought is to make a collection of my game set up, upload it, don't make it public ans then install it on second computer. I know i will still have to do some sorting and conflict resolution but the download process would almost be automated to some degree. Then I should be able to use cloud saves to continue from a different comp. Does this sound like it would work? Oh and so far I have found the collections system to be working very well, hardly any large issues. I do have some years of modding so that is probably making it easier for me. A novice may still find some issues frustrating as it is not a one click mod setup.
  2. Thanks I didnt notice that tab that helped a lot I have started playing after some time off and it like the learning curve all over again.
  3. Hello, I have fallout modded with over 340 different mods, using Vortex I found it relatively easy to get everything to work. I do have a few issues with some graphical glitches, purple textures etc. I can get the glitched item form ID with the console and the first 2 numbers are the mod in relation to load order i believe. I want to use F4edit to look for an idea what is missing or what might be referenced. How do I determine the load order number of the mods. The load order list in appdata doesnt refer to anything that has related graphics. and in counting the list of mods in that list do i include the ESL files? I cant just load everything in the mod list with F4edit because I am over the 254 mods and it wont load. I can disable some mods but it would be easier if I can determine directly what mod the form ID belongs to. hope this makes sense. Thanks
  4. Thank you I just wanted to be sure there was nothing specifically different with Vortex. I do remember that in Mator smash the plugin to be merged needed to be all next to each other in the load order, which would be problematic in Vortex. I don't have much if any experience with Wyre Bash so I have some reading to do. Thanks again
  5. Hello, I have been modding for a few years and have just recently started using Vortex, I like how it works. I never really had the need to merge patches to much so never really did it much, in my recent Fallout build I was using mod manager 2 and was following a post on mator smash. That build of Fallout 4 has over 300 mods but I was able to merge many of them. Now if i remember correctly in mator the mods to be merged have to be next to each other to make the merged patch, cant really do that with Vortex. Also, I really haven't found any tutorials on merging patches with Vortex, and most videos about Vortex are on the first builds and It appears that much has changed. So, anyone able to point me to info on proper merging of mods with Vortex. I am neariing250 active mods in Skyrim and might need to stop adding soon. I am really liking Vortex, after the learning curve.
  6. It would be great to have some more games from Steam!
