you can change them to work with legendary edition, there's even something on the usleep posts that will tell you how. you do not want to use the individual patches anymore if you can avoid it because there are a lot more fixes in the legendary edition. as to the mods themselves... your specs don't matter. at all. that 16 gigs of ram? skyrim won't be able to use more than four of it, then it will crash. the graphics card will help some, as will the processor, but if you heavily mod out the textures, you won't be able to use anything that's script heavy at all. you'll run out of ram. that's just a functional problem with skyrim being based in a 32bit system, instead of 64 bit. it severely limits how much of your systems resources it is even capable of accessing. so, my recommendation to you would be if you actually want the gameplay stuff, to limit the resolution size of your textures. especially for things like grass or eyebrows. you don't need anything very high res for things that are that small. you literally will not be able to tell a difference with them while you're playing unless you get your nose right up in it, and stare at it. epic gameplay overhaul in particular will make your computer cry with that many textures. this is just my personal experience, and based on everything i've read getting my own setup to work, but there's a choice you have to make with modding skyrim. you can make it look gorgeous but be nearly completely vanilla gameplaywise, or you can change the gameplay and can't have the textures. even if you get it to work for a time, about thirty or forty hours in you'll be looking at a save file that's way too big to function. and it won't even be because of bloat, it'll be because of everything that the save file is storing because of all of the mods and textures being so big. when the new update for skyrim drops in october? i suspect there's going to be more than a few limits that change, since it'll be a 64bit program.

so, i know that run for your lives, skytest, immersive jewelry (simply because of how much flipping stuff it adds), and smim can all cause problems if your computer can't handle it. you might start by cutting down on those. etac can also cause problems for the same reason as IJ, wisemans flora overhaul can with some setups as well. if that's actually the order you're loading stuff, i can tell you right now that not having coin exchange above immersive jewlery will cause it to CTD. and alternate start needs to be one of the absolute last things that you're loading. i'm also pretty sure that caco needs to come after cco. i've noticed that that for myself, trying to run more than three of falskaar, wyrmstooth, legacy of the dragonborn and summerset isle just kinda kills the game and it won't go more than maybe three or so minutes. i think it's just to much actual data for the game to handle. you also need to make sure that you have your skse ini setup correctly, and using ENBoost would also probably help out a lot.

you're welcome. glad you got it sorted. and yea, it's one of the few that you don't unpack and use a launcher for. i think the only other one i know of like that is by the same team, and it's the nehrim overhaul for oblivion. enjoy.

you need the enderal launcher, which can be found here: http://sureai.net/games/enderal/ click on the download link on the right side of the page and it'll take you to a series of pages. you'll need to install it through the enderal launcher, and it'll also help you get updates as you need them. that's really about it, it'll install literally everything you need for it. the only thing you may need to change is any ENB settings, as it starts with it installed by default. if you only want ENBoost you'll need to go into the ENB ini file and change it to memoryhack only. they actually even said as much in the installation section on the nexus page.

he said that they aren't in the game, so that's what i figured he meant.

you probably should double check and see if there's any different versions for dawnguard, because there usually are at this point. especially if you had vanilla only versions before. i'd start there. EDIT i just looked at them, and you should reinstall scoped bows to make sure you have the correct version installed (it will have changed when you installed dawnguard). the other two should be fine since they require dawnguard. are you using a mod manager at all to make sure all files are going to where they should? also, have you waited long enough for stores to reset so the items might show up, checked in the crafting menus?

Should I clean these mods in TES5Edit?
Madzookeeper replied to alltheseducks's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
those three should be completely safe to clean. i've cleaned cloaks and eyes myself, and they work perfectly. gophers video is exactly how you clean a mod in TES5edit.- 3 replies

the first thing that i'm seeing is that your MO load order is completely different from your mod load order. this WILL cause problems. i know what step says, and i know what the MO documentation says. i don't care, if they don't match you're going to have issues. might be part of why your game crashes every few hours as well before adding fores. go through and make sure that those are loading in the same order (have had extensive issues with this myself, anytime things are not the same crashpalooza central, changing the load order in the left window to match the actual esp load order is the only variable). the only thing that the order doesn't matter so much on is loose textures, so if you want something without an esp to load after something to overwrite it, that is usually fine. see if fixing that solves the crashes. at least that's my first suggestion. also, since what you're describing seems related to a sound problem, see if there's some conflict between fores and the new sounds mods that you're using. the delay on the sound like that is really odd.

CTD in Specific Locations (Kynesgrove, White River Watch)
Madzookeeper replied to ToxicShift13's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
messing with ugrids is usually a very bad idea, as it can seriously destroy your game stability. and adjusting that much data to load at those distances, you're probably just overloading what the game engine is capable of when you include the texture packs that you're using. if they're high res, especially on the grass, it will cause massive stability issues because the engine was never designed to handle that under a 32bit program's restrictions. but since you want this closed, i'm assuming you figured out the problem. you mind sharing what you did to fix it? -
there's basically no reason to ever have a texture over 2k, and even then it's questionable because you won't really notice it unless you get your face actually right next to whatever the texture is. if you're using really high res textures it'll basically kill your ability to have any other script based mods working as it'll suck up all of your processing power (powerful gpu or not, simply because of the way skyrim is setup to work as a 32bit program). so you kinda need to figure out what's more important to you specifically, graphics or gameplay and stick with it. i've found, personally, that anything over 1k resolution is a complete waste because when i'm actually playing i can't tell a difference, and i'm a graphics design major and look for that kind of stuff. give lower res stuff a try and see if that helps with the performance issues. also make sure that any textures you want overwritten are high in your load order. if they aren't they'll just overwrite any changes you're making back to vanilla. for enbs... i don't know anything really. sorry.

yea, usleep is basically mandatory at this point. if it introduces a few more bugs, the sheer number that it fixes (and the introduced bugs are usually fixed as soon as they find out about them and can repeat them) is in the thousands at this point. i'll take one or two more bugs to fix that many. about the combat drama overhaul, no you don't want to get it unless you really know what you're doing since it's one of the more complicated mods to install. you need to figure out what mod is calling for it and make sure you have the right version of that mod installed. it also might be that you have the wrong compatibility patch installed for something as well. glad that getting usleep helped you out a lot. happy gaming. -
I'm at my wit's end with this scripting lag!
Madzookeeper replied to Kolagon's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
i know that sands of time has something that will let you see what scripts are going off and how frequently during gameplay, but that's a huge mod to install just for something like that. i'm not sure what else would do that actually in game. they might have the tool available separately if you look in the files on their website. http://sotrealms.enjin.com/recfollowers that's their recommended mods pages. you might find something in there, might not. digging around the rest of the site might help as well. but as far as i'm personally aware that's the only place to get something like that. -
Legacy of the dragonborn failing to install in nmm
Madzookeeper replied to Oddant1's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
might also just be a bad download. i've had that happen a few times, where it wouldn't actually install and trying redownloading worked. happened with particularly larger files, which legacy definitely qualifies as. -
NPC's "Warping" around during combat
Madzookeeper replied to isseribus12's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
given that it started happening after you got the better shout, you might want to look at mods that effect shouts as well. might be a script error in there somewhere that's making things go wonky. -
you want to make sure that both load orders are matching, or as close to it as possible, to help sort out any potential conflicts unless you have a very specific reason for them not to (i.e. something like a specific texture overwrite that you want or some such). it also looks like you're using ugrids to load (cell stabilizer) which is a very, very dangerous mod and will cause your game to crash eventually. it's got a bad memory corrupting error that the longer your game goes the worse it gets. it's on the dangerous mods list, and hasn't ever been fixed. you don't want to use anything that touches ugrids anyway, because that can cause massive instability in your game.
-
it doesn't look like you actually have SMIM installed, just patches that reference back to it. might want to double check on that one. loading your order in TES5Edit would also probably be a good idea, see if it catches any missing masters, and then scan everything for errors.

Annoying Player Audio Problems
Madzookeeper replied to MadraArSeachran's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
given that it helped you and that's probably the sort of thing people don't think of often, i'd imagine it's somewhat ok. ;-) might help someone else seeing it. -
i have both magic mods without ASIS and they're all available from the get go. you just won't be able to use them all because of spell costs, so everything is fine far as my experience goes.

Madzookeeper replied to Gaberial's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
not having the unofficial legendary patch (USLEEP as it's known) is probably causing a bit of a problem, because a lot of mods actually require it and it solves a lot of problems relative to the DL you also might want to find an alternative to the official texture packs, as they weren't well optimized. there are other alternatives that just clean them up if you want everything to look vanilla. but for errors, especially related to the DLCs, start with USLEEP. see if that helps clear anything up and then go from there. also, you seem to have a version of something that is requiring the combat drama overhaul so you might want to make sure you have all the correct versions of your mods installed. i suspect the immersive sound compendium is responsible for that one. you basically need to make sure that you have every master that you need, as that's another problem showing up, mods calling for something that's just not there. combat drama overhaul being one such example. -
LOOT - Creating a better error free Load Order
Madzookeeper replied to NexusComa's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
MO stores the files in the MO folder under profiles. whatever profile you used will be where the files are. that'd be the ones you want to backup/delete. -
well, i've gotten the patcher to work fine the last 6-7 times i've run it. the problem was literally every single patched file i'd make caused a crash, didn't matter what it was. merged plugins included. and that didn't matter what combination of files i was merging, even if it was something completely unassociated with the listed files below. like merging patches for ELFX for instance. so apparently there was something very abnormal and odd going on. i have, however, narrowed down what was causing the problem. it was something in the campfire/frostfall/ineeds/tentapalooza/expanded scirmshaw set that was causing the problem. everything's working fine after removing those. anyway, thanks twizted. i do appreciate the suggestions. if i run into more problems i'll consider switching over to ordinator. especially if they're to do with perma. i've actually had more trouble getting asis to work than perma though, to the point i completely gave up on it.
