  1. I'm having trouble making a script where once the player reaches at least the target level, an object unlocks and then the player can access what's inside. Probably would run on GameMode, and be a conditional where if the player is, say, level 5, then unlock it. Else, it stays locked until then. Problem is, I don't know how to set up the script. I have the basic idea down, but I'm not really sure how to have it check the player's level. Can someone write it up quick so I can see how it should look?
  2. Alright, that did it. Thank you. Now I'm having another GECK issue. After awhile, I can't open up any menus in the GECK. I can't right click and edit anything, create new entries, etc... This happened in the original GECK and in the 1.4 powerup. Only solution is closing and reloading everything which gets to be an absolute pain. Any fixes?
  3. Basically, the title says it all. I have the file checked and set active, all its masters checked, and it loads everything. It says the file loading is complete on the bottom bar, and I get a crash. If I load the same exact files but my ESP isn't set active and I start as if I was making a new ESP, it loads. Game doesn't crash with the mod on, everything seems perfect. Any ideas what causes this?
  4. My health keeps dropping all the time when I'm not in a cloud. It happened somewhere during the Mixed Signals quest. Nothing looks wrong in my stats tab in the pip-boy, so I don't know why my health won't stop draining. Anyone know of a fix? EDIT: I made my own pseudo-patch. Link: http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=41528 Hope this helps someone else out there.
  5. Bumping this. I need a fix for this too. EDIT: I made a quick fix. Here's the link: http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=41528
  6. Just tried that now. Same exact problem. Like I said, I'm extremely inexperienced with this, so I'm probably doing something wrong... I imported the skeleton, opened the hierarchy tab, hit Affect Pivot Only, used alt+a for the quick align tool, clicked the spine it's next to, and applied it. Exported the whole skeleton with it, loaded it in Nifskope, exported it, etc. Same problem. Anything step by step to do?
  7. Hey everyone, I recently made a backpack model in GMax, and exported it as a .nif. I loaded it in nifskope, and a model of a backpack made by another modder [just trying to test out how to rig new armor and clothing addons]. In the other backpack, I deleted the model, leaving only the spine parts. Then I pasted in my backpack. Set texture path and shader flags, and saved. It looks great in the GECK, but when I put it in an NPC's inventory and do a preview, the backpack is above the character and the spine is twisted. The character is bent over 90 degrees and then rotated to the left. So I'm not sure what else to do. With no bones in the .nif, the backpack is off the side and rotated, and with them, it's above the character and the spine is deformed. Any ideas how to do this correctly? A tutorial would be greatly appreciated for Gmax and try to keep it simple, I'm only a beginner with this stuff. =/
  8. Okay, I heavily modified quite a bit of Fallout New Vegas. Some ammo in the game [Ones I modded in] I have all the requirements for, even skill requirements, they are lit up [all the requirements], yet I can't craft the ammo. The ammo in the list is grayed out. Any ideas? Everything looks perfectly fine in the GECK, I assume...
  9. Flawless. Thanks man, you're the best. Rather crude, but a very good quick fix. Wonder why they did this with the NV Geck.
  10. The GECK won't load up multiple masters, so I went into My Documents/My Games/Fallout New Vegas/GECKCustom.ini, and changed bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=0 to bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1. Problem is, whenever I save and close it, and load up the GECK, it resets to bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=0 and doesn't let me load multiple masters. Help anyone?
  11. *Bump(Kind of, I would like this as much as anyone )* Good idea, and I wish I could help. Unfortunately, I'm not very gifted in modeling. I could try, but I'll warn you right now it's gonna suck. Although I'm thinking that a wide, short cylinder for the head and a tall cone for the body with maybe a half-circle under it with the same on a smaller scale for arms and legs. (I'm not completely sure whether those are the pre-rendered shapes you can work with or not, but I know that a cylinder is, so I'm guessing on the rest. The texture-ing wouldn't be that hard (that I can image, with the right green and a steady hand for the sewing crud, but I'll leave that up to you. Once again, I'm not saying it's going to be good, or even that I'm going to remember to try it (my memory is horrible), but if I remember and it works out... I don't know... I guess it'd be pretty sweet... I suck at modeling, so if I try and fail I'll say so. Sorry in advance. Great to hear, well, any help is good help =] We'll have to see how it goes. The model has to be rigged, though, as I have no idea how to even attempt that.
  12. Well, it could be that every few hours he can give you a 'Waffle' item, like how friendly NPCs give you items sometimes after helping them, etc. But I can't do this really unless we have a model.
  13. Bumpin' it again. Well, since GIR is a cartoon [therefore 2d] it'd be a little strange to model, but he's just made out of basic shapes. Plenty of resources out there on google. Modeling is my only weak point really. Hell, someone get me a model and I'll texture and UV map it. No one can take a little of their time just to throw together a model? Come on, it'd make a lot of people happy =]
  14. Great ideas, but I that wouldn't be too difficult to do. The point of this topic, however, is for someone to model him, and then I can maybe try to add his voice and such. Yes, still interested in this mod. Trying to bump it up a little again.
  15. Just tryin to keep this topic bumped a bit. Come on guys, a mod like this would have a ton of interest. Isn't there anyone out there willing to help? ^_^
  16. Haha, me too! Wish we could get someone to try to tackle this for us all though.
  17. As great as those ideas are, I could probably script them in myself, but I just need someone to model and implement GIR into the game as a follower. Is anyone up to the job?
  18. I've done a search, it does seem like there is some light interest in something like this. A model wouldn't be that difficult, since GIR [in his dog disguise] would be fairly easy to model. I don't model, so I couldn't do it, but I'm sure there are tons of people out there that have the skill to. A robot companion has been done, just a matter of putting a different model to it. Seems straightforward, anyone think they could try it?
  19. I see mods with body jewelry for navel piercings and nipple piercings and such, but why not for the lip, ear, nose, eyebrow, and whatnot? It seems like it would be simple to do. My request though would mainly be 'snakebite' piercings, which would basically be two ring piercings spaced equally apart on the bottom lip, one on the left and one on the right. However with moving the models around, probably possible to have a whole slew of other combinations and such. Anyone up for it? =] [Compatible with vanilla male and female body types, btw]
