  1. There is one specific aspect of stealth gameplay that really bothers me: How I can grab any enemy. I have invested exactly zero points in the body attribute. I have not installed gorilla arms. And despite the fact that there are enemies with attributes like "break hold" (when you scan them), they can be hold a long time without breaking free. Most idiotic is when my rather slender female character is able to choke-hold a gang member of the Animals triple in size. Makes no sense. So I'm either looking for something really simple, like a mod that drastically limits grab time without any kind of attribute check or differentiation between enemy types or gang affiliation. Or maybe something more sophisticated. Something that looks at my body attribute, looks at my cyberware (gorilla arms or any kind of arm prosthetic), looks at the type of enemy and wether they have the "break hold" attribute and whether they are walking tanks of the Animal gang. That'd be great.
  2. I noticed that, too. First I thought the reason might be that it is all fixed up with patch 1.12, but on the one hand this is not the case (Ciri still has no scabbard in 1.12) and on the other the mod added scabbards to all NPCs which was very cool. Now Roche and others have the floating swords back on their hips, sad. :(
  3. Oh wow, it's already done: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2037/? Part of a bigger mod, I guess I'm gonna ask the author for a standalone...or I might give the mod a chance. But I usually dislike bigger changes to a gameplay element that I haven't fully explored in vanilla...
  4. Okay, the title is horrible. I was probably overthinking it and wasn't able to find the right vocabulary lol. To make it short: 20 or 30 seconds tops and enemies stop searching for a crouched player, even when their former best mates lay there on the ground as corpses. It's stupid. A longer search time of maybe 5 to 10 minutes would be appreciated. I hope it's possible without the CK. Thanks in advance.
  5. There have been a few LOD mods recently so I'm positive this might be something that can be modded. The most obvious sign that this is indeed some sort of a bug or at least glitch is most certainly the king's barge, which has enormous sails...if only you could see them from afar. From afar? Not really, because even if you're close they are missing most of the time: http://fs5.directupload.net/images/user/150924/temp/2wgklr28.jpg http://fs5.directupload.net/images/user/150924/temp/ay2zxs68.jpg Half a step makes the difference it seems. Later, when the ship is actually in port in Novigrad, it is even more noticeable. You cannot see the huge sails, which should dominate the view of the harbor pool, until you can literally spit on them. -.- A fix via LOD-mod would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  6. I should add two things: 1. This "bug" is enhanced by using a grass mod. I use Lush Grass, so the bushes get bigger. In full vanilla the problem is not that visible. 2. And there is a fix for this provided by ewi65, you can download it here: http://workupload.com/file/OCB8kQyL Screenshots: Before After
  7. Guys and girls...has there ever been found a solution for the super ugly dark bushes on the plains around Whiterun? I mean, they do look bad in vanilla... http://s1.directupload.net/images/user/140427/temp/lxn2ujfx.jpg ...but with ENB it's even worse: http://s14.directupload.net/images/user/140427/temp/4d8is8nb.jpg They sit there like anomalies. Anything? A setting, a much brigther texture replacement, a mesh fix? Please. :( I hate them. Thanks in advance.
  8. Standalone guards with torches at night mod I'm looking for a standalone mod that gives guards torches at night. I know of two bigger mods that do this: - an addon to Wearable Lanterns which is outdated (as if the necessary core mod) - Realistic Lighting Overhaul I'm currently replacing the latter with Realistic Lights & FX, so for maximum compatibility I'll uninstall RLO completely. I could try and leave the city exterior module in (it is that module that gives torches to guards), but would rather not do this. Any idea if there is a standalone mod for this? Thanks in advance. /edit: I think I just realized something: Guards equipping torches is a vanilla thing! First I thought it to be a bug or mod-leftover when I uninstalled RLO and guards were still walking around with torches. Then my mistake became clear. The optional module in RLO called "no guards" is meant to disable this function in the vanilla game, not in the mod.
  9. Okay, I've found this thread after having run into the same problem and I think I found the solution...it is NOT a bug! After Sorine sends you on the FIRST mission to retreive dwemer scematics and upon your return, it is actually not the dwarven crossbow that is added to the crafting list, but the advanced crossbow. It'll take a few more runs after ancient dwarven technology for the actual dwarven crossbow to be craftable! It took me a while to figure this out, but in the end it was pretty obvious and easy to solve: I loaded a savegame before turning in that FIRST dwemer scematic and tried the forge --> "Crossbow" was the only thing I could craft. I then talked to Sorine, turned in the quest and scematic, went back to the forge and voilá: "Crossbow" and right next came the "Advanced Crossbow". So there you have it. It's a misunderstanding. You can even google for this and you'll find a youtube video. Turns out to get the real thing, this is bound to a special quest location rather than a radiant location where you just grab that thing out of a box after dealing with some petty bandits. It is a dwarven ruin with a nice touch to it, specially build for this mission and worthy of aquiring such a strong weapon. :D Hope that helps.
  10. Seeing skooma dealers in dragonplate boots / gauntlets (soon it'll be deadric) makes me sick. I wonder what genious at Bethesda thought this to be a viable or aesthetically pleasing idea. Anyway: I'd like to change that. It'd be easy if these leveled actors would use their own leveled list of items, but unfortunately this is not the case. They use general lists called "LItemArmorGauntletHeavy" and "LitemArmorBootsHeavy" and these are probably shared with other NPCs or even loot from chests. That's why I'd like to SWAP the leveled lists used by these leveled actors, but HOW??? There are several leveled lists for boots and gauntlets that feature less high level gear, but I cannot seem to figure out how to actually swap them. I can click on the actor, go to "inventory" and then I can do nothing there. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks in advance. :)
  11. Well...not working currently. I think some authors should take off-site mirrors into consideration. Could really use one right now. :(
  12. In response to post #8161846. #8161877, #8162134, #8162746, #8162895 are all replies on the same post. I know it was meant as a joke - not beeing rich - but let me just add something quite obvious, just in case the though haven't crossed your minds, people: You wouldn't have to donate much. That is the idea behind "crowdfunding". If 10.000 people each spend 5$...I think you get the picture. I mean, how many users has this place? How many more could be mobilized. I'm sure it is somewhere between high in the hundredthousands to maybe even a million. If that's even enough. So many years the nexus is active, so many games and so many mods. Maybe I'm naive, but this should be a cakewalk (not the setting up of the donation, but reaching any set monetary goal). ^^
  13. If there was ever a service I'd be willing to donate a few bucks to, then it is certainly the nexus. The amount of mods for a good handfull of games I've found, downloaded and discussed over the years certainly goes into the high hundreds. ^^ If you need the money, I'd say ask for a big donation. I bet people will flock to your side in order to support you. :) PS: And I bet there are some capable professionals among your fans who would even be willing to help you for free. I betcha! :D
  14. LOL! Your attitude probably got you a ban and everytime they catch you "circumventing it" - which is pretty easy, obviously - they ban you again. This is just stupid in so many ways. But it gave me a good laugh. So thanks, I guess. :D
