  2. It's the follower mod I mentioned that's causing it (VS Followers if you wanted to know the name), the problem is when I try to patch it I can't copy over the original name of the sword.
  3. Hi, so I went to make a patch for a follower mod I use and am having some trouble. For some reason it renames the "Steel Sword" as "Ruin" so I figured I'd just patch it. I've made a couple patches in the past but can't seem to here. If i load it up in xEdit, apply a filter and "copy as override into" i can't seem to change it. I assume because that section isn't red? There are other sections of the mod that are red and I can copy information over no problem. Is there a way I can make it red? Or some other method of renaming the swords back to their original name? Thanks!

  5. Hi, just curious if anyone knows of a mod that changes where the item info box pops up. Normally when you say, hover the mouse over an alchemy item it will display the details either above or bellow the cursor. I'd prefer it appear to the side (or even just a bit further away), it always appears where I'm looking as I try to search lol. Also does this as I'm trying to select one of my spells. I did some searching but came up empty. Know of anything like that? Thanks!
  6. I'm not 100% sure, personally i would uninstall the mods > let vortex create the junction folder > then see if you can reinstall the mods through vortex. Then if it doesn't work try and install them the other way. I would imagine that part of what Vortex is trying to do is fix it so you don't have to install out side of it. Hope it goes smoothly for ya!
  7. Howdy, I was having the same issue but i eventually got it to work. Long story short, if you have mods in the My Docs Data folder, get them out of there. Vortex then did it's thing no problem. :thumbsup:

  9. Thank for your help! I was wondering exactly what the 25 stood for, being the % chance of it happening was my guess. Its odd because the first time i tried to adjust it I set it to 0, which seemed to work for a while but eventually the traveler appeared again. Just to test it some more I tried setting the value to 1 and 100, just to see if it made any change in how often he shows up. It didn't really seem to change anything though. Perhaps i did something incorrectly or maybe I just didn't test thoroughly enough. I had never heard of the Story Manager before, so thank you for teaching me. I knew there had to be a place that had the conditions needed for him to spawn, i was just looking in all the wrong places lol. So i decided to jump into the story mangager. Once i had more of a grasp on it, I decided to restart the mod over from scratch. I added two more node conditions, the player must have stamina and magicka at 9,999 points. I still changed that global variable from 25 to 0, just for good measure. I'll have to thoroughly test this, if it works out fine I'll end up uploading it. Thank you both for you help!
  10. Thank you both for your replies. After some more playtime the Traveler appeared again. So what i edited didn't seem to stop him. I have since tried adjusting the value some more, but he still seems to pop up from time to time. If there is a different way of achieving the goal I'd be happy to learn it. There are several other files in creation kit that have "DLC1RadiantDisguisedVampireLord" in the name. From what you were saying, maybe i could create a file that stops him from spawning. As i was looking for information before i remember reading about a file in the game that stops the dragons from randomly appearing (MQ106TurnOffRandomDragons). Maybe that could work as a template? Just to reiterate, I'm trying to stop the "Traveler" Vampire that randomly spawns when entering a town. In CK among those "disguised vampire" files i edited on marked "DLC1RadiantDisguisedVampireLordSpawner". The format type is "QUST". I went to the "Quest Alias" tab, there i edited the "location" alias. I switched it from "find matching location" to "specific location". I picked a small cave i seldom visit, Graywinter watch. Atm it seems to have stopped the traveler from showing up. I am still completely open to other options though. If i can find a good and safe option I'd like to share with the community. I'd like to learn a little more about what i'm doing. I am curious to know for sure what i edited. My guess was that him spawning can now only happen if i travel to that cave. Any help and advice is always appreciated. :)
  11. Hi! I created a mod and just wanted the community's opinion on if i did this right. My goal was to either lower or completely stop the chance of running into the Vampire Traveler that randomly appears when entering a town. So far it seems to be working just fine but I would like to share it with the community and figured i should ask if how i did it was okay. I found the file with the ID "DLC1RadiantDisguisedVampireLordChance" (with the "TAR") symbol, opened it up and changed the value from 25 to 0. Is that fine? Also, just curious, what does that "TAR" symbol stand for? Thanks!
  12. Title says it all, for some reason all the map markers i "found" while in the soul cairn are showing up on the over world map. I've tried loading a save before i even entered the soul cairn but it still happens. Any ideas?

  14. Haha I feel like I've been topic-jacked (just joking) It's not currently a problem for me. I have two separate hard-drives, one with Win 7 and the other Win 10. With Win 7 being my Skyrim SE machine and Win 10 Skyrim VR. But the whole process got me wondering for the future, if i decide to just use one machine. VR is great and all but sometimes i just want to kickback on the couch and play, so i need SE as well. Anyway, i was just curious how others tackled the problem. Thanks for your replies, Cheers!
  15. Does anyone know if there is a way to have both Skyrim SE and skyrim VR modded separately on the same system? Since to mod VR you have to tell NMM it's SE.
  16. The new update was suppose to uninstall/reinstall everything, mine crashed after the uninstall and i ended up having to reinstall everything manually (there goes that whole day lol). Are the mods still working in-game?
  17. It's best to turn them all off to make sure it doesn't happen with out mods. Sometimes ya just have to bite the bullet and do a fresh install (hopefully that's not your case). The magic mod was "colorful magic", but that was back in Old-rim. I must have had a goofy download cause re-downloading the mod fixed it. If you love magic, you should definitely try out "Colorful Magic" It's easily my favorite magic mod, and it just recently got ported to SE. Yeah, "really obscure" tends to be most of my issues as well lol. Once i had this slight visual bug, but only in full screen. Long story short, update my TV's firmware fixed it. Crazy.
  18. Hi once i had a similar problem when approaching solitude. For me the problem was a magic mod i was using at the time. You don't have to uninstall all your mods to check them, you can just toggle on/off the esp for each one. You can do that through the "plugins" tab in NMM or through Skyrim's main menu. From the main menu (continue, load, new game...) there's a place to change your load order, you can toggle the esp's there. I normally turn them all off, then turn a handful back on at a time, until i figure out which one is causing the problem. If you do it this way, you may get a CTD on start up. Don't worry if it does. You just have a mod that requires something you just turned off. You can figure out which one it is using TES Edit. These kinds of problems suck, i feel your pain man. Fixing these kinds of things normally takes a lot of patience (1st hand experience lol). If you do figure it out, don't forget to post what the problem was, you never know if it'll help someone else down the road. Good luck
  19. I noticed I was having trouble pick-pocketing enemies. At first I thought it was due to a follower, or just bad luck but it was happening far too often. The actual issue is if I sneak up on an enemy they notice me as soon as I am close enough to pickpocket, every enemy, every time. If seated they will get up as if to look for me but just stand there. The sneak eye is mostly open, and unless they bump into me they don't actually find me. I applied the ordinator perk where after 8 secs they forget about you and go back to what they were doing. Well, they start to put away their weapon but they immediately get startled and start looking again. I dropped the difficulty down to novice, made my sneak 100 and this was still happening. The funny thing is I can pickpocket civilians no problem. So I started a new character and it seemed to fix it, but now after a good 6 hours in it has started again (face palm). So my question is has this happened to anyone else? Or any possible idea what may be causing it?
  20. Hi I made a potion mod today and I would like to share it. The only thing is I've been obtaining it in-game through the console. So today I learned about the level list and adding items to it. I add said potion to the list and I understand it's not a good idea to add it to a merchant's chest, which Iâm fine with. All I want is for the potion to randomly appear as loot from bandits or whatever. My question is does simply adding my potion to the level list allow it to come up as loot or is there something similar to the merchants chests that I would need to add it to? I've been playing with the mod installed for a while now trying to get it to appear with no luck, although it seemed to be working fine in the creation kit's loot generator.
  21. Hi i just started to use Frostfall and iNeed together and was wondering if there is a way or a mod that will tell me my status for both mods at the same time. As it is i have to check them both separately every time I wish to know how I'm doing.
  22. Hi I've noticed that anytime i save my game the screenshot that goes with it is always off by a bit chronologically. Its usually no more than a minute or so behind and if i make a couple saves I'll usually end up with the image i want. This is however super annoying. I've tried searching around for a reason and although other people seem to have this issue i haven't found a cause. I've only had this issue with Skyrim SE. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  23. Thank you, that helped me figure it out. It was part of a New Land mod called "The Haven From The Cold And Dark". I have no idea why it had to change such a basic weapon, but I'm glad I figured it out. Thanks again.
  24. A while back i noticed this sword that looks somewhat like a khopesh sword in my game, i thought it was kind of cool so i let it be. Now i realize it has replaced every iron sword and iron greatsword in the game and i would like to uninstall it. The thing is i can't seem to figure out which mod it came from. I've checked all my weapons mods with no luck, I couldn't find it through google or nexus either. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
