  1. Same problem on my end. Can port the mod just fine, quest starts, but all the armor pieces are invisible. The weirdest thing of all is that I ported this mod once before like half a year ago, and back then it worked fine. I have no idea what I did back then that I have failed to do now, but I am at my wits end. Regarding your bsa file however, you need to unpack it use BAE, and then you can repack it again in a form that SSE can use. However, I have done that myself and I still get this issue...
  2. Yeah, that's what I thought as well. When I removed the hair slots on the armor addon, nothing happens, hair is still not showing. If I remove the hair slots on the armor as well, the whole thing (i.e. cloak and hood) becomes invisible.
  3. I have an issue with a hood that is attached to a cloak, and I just want the cloak. I managed to remove the hood in nifscope, but my hair is now invisible. Any solution to this?
  4. Well, I just spent a few hours converting all my old ESPs into new ones as well, then started a new game. Still get corrupt save after 20-30 min. This is mind boggling. I used to have a save where I played for days without it happening, and I cannot for the life of me figure out what I have now that I didn't have back then.
  5. The fact that mod makers claim to have ported a mod properly and then clearly haven't is very frustrating. I had like 20 mods using the old form, and almost every single one is officially ported to SSE.
  6. I find it strange that these mods aren't being flagged on the nexus. Anyway, I am in the process of porting all the old .esp's over to Form 44 now. Will be interesting to see if it actually makes any difference. Are you using Wrye Bash btw? Because according to the script, my Bashed Patch esp is also in the old format, despite the fact I downloaded Wrye Bash for SSE.
  7. wow, ok this is f***in deplorable. I just ran this script and it turns out loads of mods that had been officially ported to SSE still used the old form of ESP. That is bad... Edit: Ok, this is weird. According to this script my Bashed Patch esp is also in the old format. I have downloaded Wrye Bash for SSE, so why is this? Seems odd.
  8. Yeah, I am on the verge of giving up the game completely. If it was only about not being able to load saves, then maybe I could stomach it. I only play on Adept so I don't die that often. But the bug also causes dialogue with NPCs to get f*#@ed up. Vanilla NPCs are usually fine, but anyone from Interesting NPCs, and other custom companions, I lose all my dialogue options. I am also unable to read custom books and letters.
  9. Interesting idea, didn't work for me though. Still got the error in about 30 min.
  10. Can tell you right away that SkyUI does not do that for everyone. I had one save where I played for days without the bug, and I always have SkyUI installed. I don't use any Bodyslide mods, though I have UNP BASE Skinny installed. No Warzone or Claraux in my load order either. This issue just feels so random. The save I have now is brand new, and I get the issue after about 30 min of playing. I also never use general subtitles, only dialogue subtitles.
  11. Came back to this thread again and it seems we are still no closer to finding out a cause, it seems that this issue can occur for many different reasons. I for one am no longer sure about the string theory (pun intended) since I started my last save with about 42 000 strings and played for days, weeks even I think, without getting the issue. What I avoided for a long time was installing or uninstalling any mods mid game, but eventually I couldn't resist doing it as I found some new mods I felt I really needed. Soon after that, the issue appeared again. However, I cannot say for certain this was the reason for the issue, it could simply be that my save got bigger and bigger and eventually this false corruption flag decided to appear. I also noted something else I found quite interesting. This issue does not seem to be related strictly to time spent ingame, as I initially thought. I can usually play for about an hour, give or take, before I get this issue, so I tried to simply leave my game on while I did other stuff. After leaving it on (and not paused) for about an hour and a half I went back, made a save, and it was not corrupted. After I had played a while however, it came back, so it seems to be related to stuff you do. Perhaps it's related to how many cells you move in and out of, perhaps it's related to combat. Lastly it might be worth pointing out that for a long time I played with a mod amount that was within the limit that Wrye Bash recommends, but as I installed a few more mods mid game I got the WB warning about having too many mods and auto-ghosting turned off. WB recommends I turn it on but I haven't since I'm not sure exactly what it does. No idea if this could be related to the problem, but I kinda doubt it, since some people reported getting it even with a low amount of mods installed.
  12. That can't be it. I haven't installed a single mod requiring SKSE since I have simply presumed it will be incompatible with SSE. And most people have said it is unlikely to be a mod limit, I pointed out several times that I don't think it is. It has to do with the amount of strings and scripts in your save, at least that is the most plausible explanation so far. I also believe that installing or uninstalling mods mid game contributes to this error, as I have gotten it mostly on saves where I have tinkered around a lot with mods.
  13. Hm, well I think it's a hopeless battle for me to reduce my strings atm because Beyond Skyrim: Bruma has just been released for SSE, and I don't want to do that on a completely new character with no other mods installed...oh well Edit: Decided to start a new game since that's probably safest, but I can't get my string count down to below 40 000. Maybe I have to uninstall every single companion mod I have, plus Wet and Cold. Not really going to enjoy the game as much if I do though, and I have no idea exactly how many strings are added just by Bruma, I only know it must be a hell of a lot.
  14. This issue seems to be rather contradictory as well. For quite a while I was able to play for around two hours before this false corruption flag would appear. Now I can barely play for 30 min and it happens, despite the fact that I have added no mods. Indeed I even removed a mod (AFT) because it wasn't working properly anyway. And yes, I uninstalled it exactly as instructions said, and I did clean my save afterwards. This save corruption problem is just so odd, and so annoying that it cannot be pinned down and prevented.
  15. Suspicious perhaps, but hardly conclusive. For example, if Bethesda wanted us to stop using free mods and start using theirs, why would they create a bug that makes most people believe mods just don't work in general? I mean let's face it, if you're running with 200+ mods and get this issue, your first conclusion isn't going to be "free mods caused this, I better pay for 'em instead". It is far more likely to be "mods caused this, I better reduce the amount of mods I play with." So my point is, while this may hurt free modding, it doesn't really benefit Bethesda because people will avoid their mods as much as the Nexus mods, if they think mods cause them trouble. Again, not necessarily about sheer quantity of mods, it's more likely about the quantity of scripts, and some mods can be big in size but light on scripts. It's entirely possible to play with 100 or perhaps even 200 mods, and not get this issue.
  16. I'd say it's less about the sheer amount of mods and more about how many big ones you have (big in the sense of script heavy mainly), but it is certainly a downer. I've been able to play for a bit over two hours now without it happening, though my character is only level 13 atm. Might be I run into more trouble later down the line as my save gets more bloated. Didn't realize organic factions was removed but it does stand to make sense how it could cause trouble. I was considering removing it for a while now. I liked M'rissi but had to do her quest so many times due to something somewhere bugging out, so I just uninstalled, I got tired of doing it all over again. She's cute, but her driving capabilities on that sabrecat of hers was atrocious, the forefront of needing insurance in Skyrim. Haven't quite gotten into Vilja yet but I mostly have only 5-6 followers I constantly actively use. I keep the rest around to try and make skyrim feel more populated. Probably should prune them some though... Though I don't imagine most basic followers absorb that many resources, the really hefty ones like Ambriel and M'rissi probably do. M'rissi is buggy sometimes, that is for sure. The worst part for me was trying to use a teleporter plate that was supposed to take me to a new location, but it never did. Had to reload about 10 times before it worked. Also forgot that I had Recorder installed as follower as well. I honestly don't like her that much so considered uninstalling her, but I am right in the middle of one of her quests, and I figured it's better to finish the quest before uninstalling the mod.
  17. Already said this in an earlier post here in June, but I concur that this must be a resource issue of some sort. Whether Bethesda did it deliberately or not is pointless to speculate about. I tend to get the issue after an hour or two of playing. Recently I decided to remove a bunch of mods I wasn't using, some small and some bigger. Among the bigger I removed was Vilja (she is very well made but her Swedish accent is horrendous) and Organic Factions (since it has been taken down from the nexus atm anyway). I also removed a bunch of armor and weapon mods I wasn't using. I still have three big companion mods installed (four if you count Interesting NPCs), namely M'rissi, Inigo and Aurlyn. I don't really want to get rid of them, so I'll test my game out now see if there is any difference. I also still have AFT installed but I might remove that as well, since frankly I very seldom use more than two companions at most. Any more is just a mess.
  18. I get this bug as well, and from what can be gathered from 50 pages of people having it, there is no singular mod causing this. I suspect it has something to do with just having a large number of mods installed, particularly script heavy ones, that can cause this. It really sucks, but as of now I don't think there is any clear solution.
  19. I cleaned my save, was quite a bit to clean apparently, and sorted the plugins. Still get this bug. It's so damn weird, it's like a spell but it just suddenly sets of. Originally I thought it could go off when I get hit but it seems to be whenever someone dies. Like an enemy death has a random chance to result in a massive fear spell that increased my Illusion skill...I am utterly confused. And I can't find anyone that's encountered the same problem.
  20. Getting a bit desperate so I figured I'd ask if anyone else ever had this. When my character get hits in battle, there seems to be a small chance it will set off some kind of uber illusion spell effect that makes everyone around me flee in terror. Each time it happens my illusion skill goes up by like 7 points. Thing is...I have no mod that does anything like this. I have NEVER seen it before, and I have no idea what could cause it. The only new mod I have for this particular playthrough is the Civil War overhaul. All other mods are stuff I've used for countless hours of playtime and never had this bug with. But why in God's name would a civil war mod give me this random fear spell that I cannot control? It would not be that big a deal if it didn't increase my illusion spell my insane amounts so I constantly level up...
  21. I shot him in the back cause I got sick of his rantings. I managed to do it without getting a bounty too. ^^
  22. Pretty much what the topic says. Would it be possible for anyone to replace the look of the archmage robes to look like nightingale armour? It would also be cool if the cloak could be made longer but I suppose that's much more difficult. I'm playing a female character if it makes any difference.
  23. I completly agree with this. Why on earth does the staff simply dissapear when you sheat it? Makes no sense!
  24. Just small request. It's hard to find any decent looking gloves in Skyrim imo. If possible I would like the "Shrouded Hand Wraps" (thats part of the DBH clothing gear) to change stats so that it's usefull for spellcasters. Like +40 magicka or something. Alternativly remove the stats completly so that I can enchant them myself. If that is not possible then I would like the normal gloves (the ones without stats that are simply named "gloves") in black color instead of brown.
