  1. I have 181 mods. Almost all work perfectly. One mod I've used for some time is "Xenius Character Expansion" which adds scars and the like in the looksmenu. However, a mod I recently downloaded called "RoboAsimov's Lore-friendly Tattoo-a-palooza" which obviously adds tattoos, overwrites the other mod. My question: Can I use FO4 Edit to make a merged patch to make these mods play together or does that just work for leveled lists. I know nothing about mods that I didn't google 5mins ago, so advice would be nice before I wreck my 120hr playthrough so my dude can have the Vitruvian man tattooed on his neck like a true Paladin of the Railroad! I question my life choices
  2. Okay sorted. I had go into the "FO4 Virtual Instll" folder and copy all the mesh files from CBBE character assets and paste them into the Unique character mesh folder. Man and earlier on today I had to google how to take a screenshot! I'm well chuffed
  3. I installed Bodylide and ran it from supported tools in NMM, but the window that opened has no real options. I looked up a tutorial and there are a load of sliders that just aren't there for me. *Got bodyslide working, still don't really know how to use it to fix my problem though
  4. I was using the slim preset. I also tried every other preset. They all look the same. Why would I need to use Bodyslide?
  5. I'm having an issue with a body tattoo mod. The textures are wrapped all wrong, a black patch on the left shoulder and areas are purple. I used NMM to install CBBE, Unique Player-Main File, and the tattoo mod itself (Mass Effect Jack body tattoos CBBE - Jack tattoo mod). NMM prompted me to overwrite the textures of Unique Player with the tattoo mod, I selected "yes to All" Things I've tried: Not overwriting Unique Player files = vanilla body/ no tattoos Not enabling CBBE = floating head and pipboy Installing tattoo mod manually = same result as using NMM and overwriting UP files I've searched for Troubleshooting guides with no joy. Any help would be appreciated
  6. For clarification, this story would take place after all the events of the vanilla game. the idea is to "provide more closure to the ending of the main quest of the vanilla game" 1. After the events in the vanilla game the deadra and nightmother all have claim to your soul, you pledge it to Nocturnal, if you're a vampire or werewolf Molag Bol and Hircine would claim it and tell me Sithis wouldn't want the soul of the listener or person who destroyed the sanctuary. Now what does that have to do with the rest of the story. Nothing really, it's just a way to summarise how far you've come while raising the stakes before my proposed conclusive chapter. 2. "It's the edge of Aetherius, a purgatory of sorts" After you defeat Alduin in the vanilla game and don't absorb his soul, it has to go somewhere 3. Alduin is in a corporal form and growing from a small ice-wraith like creature back to a dragon. The Draman form was an idea as an in between form for him to take 4. After being killed in the vanilla game Alduin is not in purgatory by choice. I honestly appreciate that you took the time to comment, but a second reading wouldn't have hurt
  7. I have no illusions about this being made 3 years in, but I had a story I wanted to share that could provide more closure to the ending of the main quest of the vanilla game. Starts off pretty cliched, Courier delivers a letter where a mysterious stranger has discovered the location of a powerful spear (that could kill a God etc. etc... could you retrieve it from this dungeon for a great reward) When you enter the dungeon you trigger a scripted first-person animation; a spear is thrust through your back and out your chest. You fall to the ground and the screen turns black. With the screen black you hear all the lines spoken by the deadra and nightmother about how they own your soul and then a third-person animation is triggered; companion spirits appear around you and hoist you toward the sky which looks like it did in sovngard. As you near the vortex the screen fades to white. You wake in a landscape of glowing blue plant life and a swirling orange sky. It's the edge of Aetherius, a purgatory of sorts populated by the Dwemer, where they have lived immortally and peacefully for thousands of years... but not any more because what fun would that be?! You encounter a shade that looks like the shadow of a small ice-wraith; Alduin. In his corporal form he tampers with the dwemer technology and in the resulting chaos and death, feeds and becomes larger and more complex. There are plenty of Draman variants to go through. After seeing a couple of large scale Dwemer facilities backfire and learning how the dwemer spent the last few thousand years (time is relative) and taking in a bit of culture, Alduin makes use of a prototype device to return to Nirn (unhindered by his physical form he would grow bigger as he feeds and potentially fulfil the prophecy to devour the world)... You complete a short mission to recharge the (plot) device (and give Alduin a head start) and follow him to Skyrim, pulling the spear out of your chest as you wake... Cue the epic battle outside whiterun with drauger and a giant ass Alduin versus the Legion/Stormcloaks and you with the one weapon that could potentially kill him for good
  8. My game crashes after Ralof tells me to join the rebellion. If I run away before he tells me this the game is fine for at least a couple of minutes, but when I make my way back toward Riverwood it crashes. I restarted because I installed several mods 20hrs into gameplay and noticed CTD's when re-entering Bleakfalls Barrow and when Delphine warns about bandits on our way to Kinesgrove Latest mods I added during last play through: A Noob move, I know. Unfortunately restarting didn't help. I suspect a script conflict issue, but as I'm new I have no idea how to verify that. I use the latest SKSE, Mod Organizer, LOOT, TES5 Edit and Wrye Bash and have the Save Cleaner (no orphan files detected, so I have not used it) and the memory logs shows I get to 271 out of 512 in the first block when I crash. I have all the official DLCs I'm using a Toshiba laptop with 6.00 GB of Ram and the NVIDIA GeForce graphics card. My game is located in (C:)/ Games/ Steam/ Steam Apps/ Common/ Skyrim I have only been using mods for a few weeks so I'm still learning, but I'm out of ideas. Any help would be appreciated LOOT Details
