  1. Hello, I want to download mods for Skyrim Special Edition. However, when i click install with manager on the Nexus website, MO opens and says that I can't install mods on this game. I can't seem to set an exception for it either. My question is, how do I set Skyrim Special Edition's handler to NMM and keep my current Oblivion and Skyrim (2011) MO installations the way they are? Final note, I can still install mods from Bethesda.net in-game, but I prefer not to, as there isn't much control and the selection is quite limited compared to the Nexus site. Thanks in advance!
  2. I have solved my issue. A reinstallation of Nexus Mod Manager did the trick. I think it may have been a permissions glitch from my previous installation.
  3. I've followed these instructions to the letter. I have some new information however: I've discovered that my Nexus Mod Manager doesn't download the actual files anyway. It will download the folders and the esp files, but the texture/mesh files, etc, do not download. I'm going to use the example mod Tracers: Light 'em up. I downloaded this mod with the manager and it said it installed and it activated my esp. However, when I went to my game, bullets disappeared outright. I then uninstalled the mod from the manager and everything was fine. I looked at the files in my data folder after a temporary reinstall and discovered something interesting. It copied over the folders for the mod but the files were not in them. The mod should have had files under the effects and meshes folder, but they were simply not there, although my ESP was there and active. So clearly, my mod manager is going a little crazy. Is there a fix for this? Would reinstalling help? I would appreciate any additional help. Thank you in advance!
  4. Reinstalling my game has not helped, I started all over with a brand new save and redownloaded the mods and made the INI changes, and the same problems as before are still occuring.
  5. Hello, I have a few weapon mods in Fallout 4, and my character can spawn them and equip them and even shoot them, but they are invisible! I've tried installing AWKCR and making the necessary edits to my INI files, and nothing seems to be working. I would appreciate any help on this, I'm going to try reinstalling my game right now as I don't know what else to do, I'll report back if that is successful. Thank you in advance!
  6. Hello, I recently purchased some new hardware and one of those pieces of hardware was an SSD. So I wiped my PC and reinstalled Windows, my games, etc. Well, now Fallout 4 seems to be finicky. I installed it to my SSD and started from scratch, so all my previous saves and mods should be gone, although I still have my old directory on my hard drive because I backed up my entire Steam/Steamapps/common folder. Error Number 1: Every time I've started NXM, it keeps telling me that it cannot detect my INI files, even though they are there and I've edited them exactly according to Gopher's video to include the entries for mod installation. Running NXM as admin seems to have helped though. Error 2: The only mods I have installed are a few weapons mods, ie the LK-05 Carbine and the MK14 rifle. When I go to my game and type in the console command to spawn them (because I'm too lazy to get them legit) it doesn't find the ID for me. I type these exact character's for the LK-05 for example: help "LK-05" 4 just like the mod page tells me to, and Fallout 4 cannot find my ID. The same goes for all my weapon mods (I have 4 currently). Irregularity: In my plugins list I noticed all my old mods from my backup installation were present. Just something I thought about pointing out. I would appreciate any help on this. Thank you!
  7. Thank you. I'm using MO and I've installed a mod or two and did the Bashed/Merged patches, and my game works flawlessly. Thank you for all your help. If you would like, I'll shout you out on my next video for helping. Here's my channel: https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCIMZ7Viyxz_8YRA-JkHVcOg
  8. Hello again, I am using Nexus Mod Manager currently. I have never made a bashed/merged patch for the game, however I do see an item in my load order called BashedPatch 0.esp. It is at the bottom of my load order, and I know I didn't create it. Maybe Wryebash made it for me. I have just re-validated files in Steam and it said 5 were missing, it just reacquired them and some weird things happened. First, my game crashed after the Bethesda logo. I looked at my load order in my Skyrim launcher, and when my launcher loaded it reconfigured my hardware. So for some reason, Steam reacquired my INI files. Second, when I looked in my load order, Dawnguard.esm was not ticked. I ticked it and my game loaded and I played for a few minutes just to make sure everything worked. I found no errors whatsoever. This seems like odd behavior to me. I don't know if my game is stable now that files were reacquired, or if it is still broken and if I add or remove mods, I'll break it permanently. One last thing, I still have not made bashed patches. Now that my files are acquired and everything is smooth (for now) should I make those patches? Thanks again.
  9. Hello again, Ah ok. So if I uninstall a mod, i need to run the save script cleaner, and if I install a mod or modify load order, I need to make a bashed patch? Thanks again.
  10. Hello again. I got my game to work by unticking and running the game one mod at a time and eliminating problem mods, but as it stands if I add or remove mods and change my load order, my game stops working. While I can live with the mods I have installed, is there a way to fix this so that I could install mods in the future? Thank you.
  11. Hello again, I have tried a few more of the links. I installed USLEEP, and ran the save game orphan script remover. Neither helped, but I did notice something... No matter which town I travel to, my game crashes when the Cultists appear. I have tried Whiterun and Ivarstead so far, and both times the towns load fine, but when the Cultists appear, my game either crashes, or (if I'm lucky) I'll get into conversation with them, but there are no dialogue captions at the bottom, and after hearing one of them speak 3-5 words, the game crashes. I still think it has to do with Dragonborn DLC, as I have checked my load order with LOOT, checked ITM records and disabled and undeleted references with TES5EDIT, installed USLEEP, and ran the save game orphan script remoal tool, all to no avail. Thanks again.
  12. Hello, Thanks for all your info. I dug into a little bit of it and found out about papyrus logs. I recorded my log file and it is attached below: http://pastebin.com/rDgiz7Yy It appears something called dlc2toldarstombpuzzleplatescript is the culprit. What does that mean? Do I need to reinstall Dragonborn? Thank You in advance.
  13. Hello, I have been having some issues. I'm at the point in the game where I have finished training with the Greybeards and now I must retrieve the horn of Jurgen Windcaller. I fast travel to Ivarstead to finish Klemming's quest of delivering supplies, but when I fast travel, I meet the cultists of Miraak. When I begin a conversation with them, my game ctd's, no errors. I have tried using LOOT and Wrye Bash to fix load order, and using TES5Edit to clean up ITM records, but the problem persists. I would like to preserve my saves and mods if possible because this game is for a YouTube Let's Play and I dont want to lose my progress and have to abandon it. Thanks in advance.
