  1. Hm, that's weird, because it's the mod author themselves who said in their comments section that folks who want to use the mod with Seasons of Skyrim should download that older file from the archive. I'll ask them to move it. Thank you for the response.
  2. I'm trying to download an archived version of a mod, because its older version has compatibility with Seasons of Skyrim while the newer one doesn't (yet). I know I read somewhere awhile back that there's a way to download archived files, even though archived files are listed without download links. But I can't remember what the method was, and when I searched Nexus' help section, no instructions popped up. So, both a question & a suggestion: how do I download archived files, & maybe that info could be added to the help section's topics. Thank you!
  3. I know this is ages later, but in case someone lands here like me (with the same problem as everyone here), I found a different source for my crashes: I had more mods active than poor CK could handle. It seems that with all my ESP-FE's, I'm well over the limit it was designed to deal with. So when CK tried to load more plugins than it was built for, it choked. I disabled all my mods except the one I needed to open, and CK started up like normal again (I'd been using it just a few hours before on the same profile, before I'd apparently pushed it over the edge with new mods). So there's another reason you might be having crashes while CK is starting up. After all, some of us might have a few too many mods.
  4. Thank you for the referral to elwap's The Method. It was the first time I ran into what I'd been looking for -- a simple explanation of what modgroups are, how they can be created within xEdit, and how they can be deleted in MO2. I'm the kind of person who needs a basic foundation to build on, and that was exactly what I needed to get started.
