Im not sure wat NifTool Plugin Im using but I know that I'm using 3dsmax 2012 ... I think its the 3.4.2 version of the NifTools...... But I dont get it.... I just exported my Lamia creature(which has wayy more models than my thunderbird) and its fine... but this thunderbird will always crash when exporting....... I followed MultiDarkDavid's tutorial but it wont work for the nif.....

Hey THERE!!!! Ive looked everywhere for a solution to why I cant export this nif. Ive checked the BDismemberment Modifier, but it still crashes on export..... Is there another solution to this problem or should I just give up on this ThunderBird... /\ /\ /\ /\ l l l l [ MAX FILE ]

Hey guys!! I have a really annoying problem.. I'm trying to make a custom Vampire Lord(mesh) that's really a Dragon Priest(skeleton), so I export my .NIF and edit it in Nifskope. After I edit it, I try to preview it in the creationkit, but for some reason, after I click "yes to all", like 20 "Abort messages" pop up and freezes my CK. It results in the CK not working. Has this happened to anyone else and is there a reason/way to fix it??? Here's my unedited .NIF and my edited .NIF

THANK YOU!!!!!!!! I was making the custom race wrong way!!!!! Now they are their own race with their own faction!!!!!!! Things are as they should be!!!! ...and yeah.. I have to go back and fix the mesh since there are many issues with it, like the weights and the head clipping..... but THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!!!!

Okay, my problems have become more obscure.... The reason my creature was deforming was because of me making it part of a new custom race. When I made it part of the SabreCat Race and change the skin to my creature's skin, it works as expected... BUT this means that it always will be apart of the "SabreCat" family. This makes it hard to make it part of the Wolfkin faction because they will attack eachother if I remove the SabreCat faction. And if I try to make a new race, it deforms again. IS THERE A WAY TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE?????? Here is my NIF if you need to take a look at it <NewWarg>

I'm having a problem with my nif file. I am following MultiDarkdavid's tutorial on how to add new custom creatures. Im trying to make a new creature based off of the sabrecat's skeleton. It looks fine in CK. But when I enter Skyrim and spawn it, it instantly deforms into a glob of the mesh. Is there something wrong with the way I did it or is it the sabrecats nif file itself? Because I did the same steps for another creature of mine and it worked fine. But this sabrecat based nif. won't even let me preview any animations in CK!!!! Has anyone else had any problems with the sabrecat's skeleton? and did you find an answer to this problem? Here's my NIF if you need a look at it <Warg>

It wont use ANY SPELLS..... it wont even go into hover mode...... but it has the Drain and Summon Gargoyle spell equipped... Now it just backs away from the threats........ whiles threatening them.

Im trying to add more creatures to the vampire and werewolf faction but there's something wrong with my creature... When looking at it in CK, it looks fine but u cant preview animations. And in-game the mesh just deforms to a small clumpy mess.......... Does anyone know whats wrong??? I need help Here's my CK ready NIF <Warg> -

did do this under BSShaderTextureSet? I went under BSLightingShaderProperty and clicked the BSShaderTextureSet.... opened textures and changed the first one to where my texture was............ I also had to make sure it was in the Data/textures folder.. -

Have you checked the Aggression and Confidence options under the NPC's AI Data tab? Yes I have checked them.... The VP is "Very Agressive" and "Foolhardy" but when I spawn him, let's say 10 of them..... only 2 or 3 would actually fight me whiles the rest would just back away from me(whiles threatening me)....... ...and they(retreaters) also have the spells equipped but instead of hovering they are running back... whiles the ones that fight me are fight me with magic and are hovering THANK YOU VERY MUCH for the Reply but I still need HELP!!!!! :'( :(

Heyoo!! I've been working on a Vampire Lord NPC for a week now... and I almost got it working. But hen I spawn the enemy... its a game of chance. Sometimes it works (VP uses Magic to fight) but the majority of the time, he doesnt attack and only retreats. Has anyone come across a solution to doing this properly????? because I'm fairly new to Skyrim and Creation Kit, and I can't seem to figure it out.

Hey there.... I hav a question. I'm trying to make a mod called "Servants Of Molag Bal." Molag Bal is trying to increase his influence in Skyrim so he has "blessed" his follwers with more power. This mod aims to upgrade the power system of vampires, going from death hounds all the way to Champion of Molag Bal (Vampire Lord). But I ran into a problem with the vampire lord in which it doesnt use magic. Is there something I'm not doing correctly or is it just not supported in Skyrim? I really need to know if this is able to happen, since I see that Amazing Follower Tweaks does this with your followers whom you've turned.

may I ask how you set up your nif in nifscope. I'm trying the same thing but can't get that far since theres some marker error woth my model. -
"As far as I know even the slightest adjustment to their skeleton will rip apart their animations, they're not regular actors you can freely change things to." I know.... thats why i'm making my own animations....... ;)

I made a new skeleton of a 4 legged skyrim dragon with animations. Is it possible to add a entirely new creature? I've seen this video and thought that it would be possible. I'm definitely willing to do all the coding for it... I just want to know the bascis (if it's possible) :/

MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY!!!! Ive wondered why there was a lack of variety conserning dragons.... I animate models for fun and have just started working on a dragon. I trying to find out how to make/add my own model in Skyrim because I really want some variety!!!! :D

Yeah!! I already made standard movement animations for it already. I'm definitely not the best at animating but I love doing it. Now I want to actually fight them!!! :D

HEY THERE!!!! I have been animating models for about half a year. I really love it, but I want to see these bad boys in action. And since most of these models are from Skyrim lore... I was wondering how would one go about adding their own custom models as enemies in Skyrim. Im currently working on a warg and a 4 legged dragon and would love to actually face these beasts. Does anyone know how to add their creatures?
