  2. In response to post #33662555. well i have a heavily modded game on the 1.3 beta and have had 0 issues,0 crashing.
  3. tbh enb's will punish the graphics,i have a R9 280x 3gb card and even that has my fps outside at 45 fps (thought my game is heavily modded as well),not entirely sure why your having problems with flora mods thought they shouldn't knock off more then 5 fps(maybe slightly more on a laptop),most i saw was a 4 fps loss when i used to use vurts but now im running bigger trees with lush trees and grass i barely notice at difference at all. have you tried tweaking any of the enb's you've tried, like disabling ambient occlusion etc,as that's what hurts the most when running them. as for gpu not very familiar with laptop gpu's although the 880m is powerful by laptop standards(fastest laptop gpu iirc) there still not in the same league as desktop gpu's so you might be hard pressed to hit 60 fps, might be able to get around 45 on average with an enb and loads of mods (unless you only run a lightly modded game),maybe someone who knows more about laptop gpu's can answer that question.
  4. well theres fnvedit if you know how to use it,if not i would ask over on nvec maybe tommy has a console code in place or some way to disable them.
  5. are you running nvec as i know they had them in,its def not project nevada as i run that.
  6. have you tried setting your power plan to high performance as i do remember that skyrim had an issue with cpu parking thought im not sure if it still does as i always run in performance mode when playing skyrim.
  7. sorry for slow reply,no on default game i was always getting 60 fps at all times, lowest ive seen in solitude was 57 fps and that was on the docks.
  8. actually i spent over a week comparing before and after and there was no noticeable different at all,and i can guarantee my ebony armor has never had green spots on ever and the shine as still there after, but then maybe we're using different mods.
  9. ive optimised my textures 50 times and never once had an issue, besides rule one when modding always back up anything your modifying 1) if it wasnt safe i wouldnt (nor would 200,000+ other people use it) 2) the tool is super easy to use tbh i have a quad core, ive never had to change anything to get it to run fine.
  10. hehe hard to resist installing great mods like smim, elfx,SiC etc huh :P um have you optimised your textures using http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/12801/?
  11. thats depends on the gpu (the 5850 which is ancient) takes a 450w minimum (550w recommended), id say 650w - 750w would be the recommended atleast (got to take into account psu capacitors degrade over time by about 5%) i only went with the 850w as that leaves plenty of room for upgrades/ possibility of Xfire. do you really need 16gb of ram, true if u can afford it go for it but alittle overkill at the mo,id go with 8gb and put the money saved towards a ssd or hdd upgrade (you can get 3-4tb cheap enough these days) depends on what intel processor if you dont overclock id say i5 4430,if you over clock id say either the i5 3570k if you dont want to spend too much on a processor or if your willing to spend the cash the i5 4690k
  12. until i installed seasons of skyrim (to be expected as seasons of skyrim is a killer but looks amazing) my fps never dipped below 50,but my game is heavily modded now so i only get 45 fps outside 60 in interiors (texture pack covers 95% of skyrim lol) now so ive had to optimise all textures that are safe to optimise,i run project optimisation, unofficial skyrim and dlc patch's,tweaked my ini's as there is a drop off point where increasing the settings has little visual effect (just dont ever tweak papyrus settings as it does more harm then good) ive also cleaned the skyrim esps using tes5edit (always back them up any esps you intend of cleaning),i also use skse memory patch so i never see sudden fps drops at all. haha yeah most of Bethesda's games its always the shadows that cause problems (atleast from experience) this is the guide i use for ini tweaking, you dont have to follow the guide strictly,if you dont wait to change a setting (or feel you got it perfect already just move on to the next one.)
  13. valkasha is right about no difference between high and ultra but still somethings up,you shouldn't be getting fps that low,i cant say what amd processor's are like as i have a intel i5 2500k, amd R9 280x with an extremely heavily modded with seasons of skyrim enb and i still see 48fps outside at all times, skyrim is a very cpu dependant game (much more then gpu, unless you mod),have you tried cutting your skyrim.ini and skyrimprefs.ini to desktop and getting the game to re-make the ini's?
  14. some suggestions Honor's Call Wardens Edge Reckoning Treachery Knights Fall Devotion Vengeance Nirvana Blackout Divine Light Epilogue Betrayer of the Damned Dominance Whisperer of Ended Dreams Edge Of Reason Nights Fall Glory Of Ending Hope.
  15. Thanks for the suggestions! I really have no Idea about processors, so i don't even know if mine is good xD the processor itself is decent enough but from what ive heard the fan that comes with it isnt that great (im not too familiar with amd as i prefer intel for processors and amd for gpu)
  16. you should be able to install smim (with very little impact) but if you dont have a great gpu def avoid 2k hd textures, the little things like cloud etc have no impact what so ever, realistic water 2 has minimal impact (a few fps at most) if you play female characters then the best hair and face textures are without a doubt Sg's hair and SG;s face textures by hello santa.
  17. hey bradley welcome to the nexus, glad your enjoying skyrim on the pc,i did the same thing as you (had skyrim on 360 got bored decided to get skyrim on pc and have been loving it 100x more then i ever did on 360) i have that exact gpu and the thing is beast  (thought i have the i5 2500k proccessor) i actually posted some essential mods over on this thread http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/2170654-new-member-greetings-as-well-as-seeking-for-advice/ that would be a good start (natually im running a lot more (like 100 mods stably) but that should point you in the right direction) hope that atleast helps.
  18. hey welcome to the nexus :) for mods id say some of the ones i always play skyrim with would be realistic water 2, enhanced light and fx skyrim immersive creatures (adds loads of new mobs to fight as its pretty boring in the wilds) organised bandits in skyrim (not for the faint of hearted, had my ass handed to me on many occasions xD) duel combat hardcore edtion (thought any of the duel combat version is fine) apocalypse spells for magic casters (forgotten magic is also worth a look) skyrim UI skse (not a mod per say but allows mods to do things they couldnt without it) bigger trees, lush trees and grass unique grasses and ground covers skyrim 2k HD HD 2k ivy smim (essential imho) interesting npcs (you already have that :) ) vilja (best companion ever!) immersive armors unofficial skyrim patch (also grab the unofficial dlc patches and they all fix a crap ton of bugs left in the game) deadly dragons (must have as dragons are weak as hell without this, has defualt skyrim settings so you will have to tweak this your self) any house by Elianora as she does simply the best houses on nexus (beats even the official dlc hearthfire) http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/users/3231858/?tb=mods&pUp=1 link to find her houses IPM - More Realistic Potions and Poisons Sizes (definitely this, makes potion bottles more realistically sized instead of 4L bottles) skygazers moons are byfar the best this mod for snow (by far the best snow on nexus http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49011/? bryce nebula galaxy replacer (best imho) http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/users/2141127/?tb=mods&pUp=1 RaiserFx's beauty of skyrim mods are definitely the best dungeon-caves-mines textures around. design of the nords for flags http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/13429/? Gamwich clouds http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/56279/? (most realistic and best clouds ive used) thats a small list of some of the best ones around, your choice which you use/dont use, just pointing you in the right direction, hope you enjoy skyrim as much as i have :)
  19. ok 1) sorry about long reply was playing FF14 arr, 2) except EFF i use the exact same mods as you (thought my mod list has like 100 mods) so its not the mods you use 3) camaro is right dont use more then one enb preset,i myself use seasons of skyrim as ive tried all of them and found its the best though thats down to you which to use, thought get rid of the project enb climates of tamriel as thats for climates of tamriel weather mod which your not using so thats gonna cause issues. id recommend deleting all files where your skyrim.exe is and verifiying your cache, once thats done install enb, then manually install your preset (reason i say manual as nmm has been know to install it wrong) its really not hard just extract archive of your choosen enb preset to desktop and simply copy paste all files in to the folder where your skyrim.exe is. the system tray is the up arrow located near your clock on your windows bar, dont disable anything thats required like sound, graphics, keyboard, mouse drivers.
  20. tbh ive never seen the issues your having when using enb 262 with seasons of skyrim, the only reason i changed back to 236 was seasons of skyrim enb was made for that version plus i noticed certain effects not working as intended, personally id say change back to whatever version the enb you use is made for.
  21. best hair is easily SG's hair <3 @nightguard can i ask if you did windfall for oblivion?
  22. have you edited the skyrimprefs.ini and made sure that bFloatPointRenderTarget=1
  23. for combat duel combat definitely, for magic i just use apocalypse as thats the best magic mod imho (forgotten magic is also worth using/looking at,very nicely made),i also use mighty magics dual casting module and spell scale.
