  1. This isn't really an urgent thing, it's just that I've had non-vanilla ambient music popping out here and there during my playthrough. I have no idea where they actually come from, because I didn't install any music mods at all. So I have this feeling that they came from a large quest mod that didn't give too much of a mention about the additional music. The only real overhaul mods I've installed are Project Nevada and Solid Project (rip) - I know it's definitely not PN and it *shouldn't* be SP. Of course, there is a very good chance it's something I've missed, since this particular build of FNV was modded more than a year ago. These music pieces have a very western-esque feel but definitely not 100% in the vanilla tone. Googling returns no real results because it assumes I'm looking for music mods.   3. Alright, I'm not exactly a complete newbie to modding Fallout, but I guess compared to most people I'm still pretty much a novice. Currently, I have no idea about the terminologies of FNV body mods that most popular body and clothing mods use. At most I have installed BEWARE OF GIRL Type 3 and Breeze Male Body replacers. The rest is something harder. So the points I'm confused with are: What is Type 6? I found what looks like a body replacer (Type 6 Modification Body by Izumiko), but I can't understand the mod description. Do I need Type 3 for it? Which folders do I write over when installing?How do I know that the Bnb Compatability skeleton mod is working? Or is it something that doesn't work by itself? Why do I need the BnB skeleton, and what do I need to use it with?It is possible to use Bouncing Natural Breasts and Type 3/6 so I could just get the bouncing effect for the Type 3 and 6 bodies? Or is it mandatory to only use one of them? I'm asking the last question because it is what stumped me the most. The Black Widow armor mod apparently has a version that requires BOTH Type 6 and BnB, but I can't find any instructions that get both of them to work together. The link provided in the Black Widow mod is broken, but I can't anyone who has the same problem in the comments. I tried googling but either there are just no one having my problem or I'm using the wrong keywords all the time.
  4. Alright, first of all I'm new to modding, and I'm starting by placing objects in an existing cell (Coyote Mine Shack's interior, to be precise) and creating a simple 'safehouse' of some sort. This is my problem: halfway through placing items in the cell, all containers and static objects and everything but the walls, light and stairs will disappear from view. However, they just disappeared from view and can still be selected, and still exists in the cell. Glows from things like the Electric Hot Pot will still stay there, but without the physical pot. I thought I might had misclicked something, but this happened once when I'm just looking at the screen. Other times it happened when I was on my web browser and came back to see everything apparently hidden from my view. A 'fix' would be restarting GECK, but this is excessively annoying because I can't do things for more than a few minutes without everything being hidden from my view again. I tried googling, but I'm not exactly sure if I'm googling right, because the results I got were nowhere similar to what I encountered. Kind of hard for me to google in GECK terms when you don't understand the terms, actually.
  5. Just got this weird bug that seemingly only happens with my character, for now. The first time I've noticed it was that my weapons are appearing exceptionally small when I go into third person. A pistol becomes as small as my palm and it looks pretty ridiculous when I hold an assault rifle. Unfortunately, I didn't get any screenshots of it. The second time I've noticed it (the day after) was that my weapons simply aren't appearing in third-person. I've tested this with modded weapons (mainly from Millenia weapons) and vanilla weapons. I've thought that it could be the Weapon Animation Replacers causing problems (even though things are sometimes perfectly fine) and thus tested with melee weapons that aren't affected by animation replacers, but still the same thing. My question is: what mods could be causing this problem? Does anyone have this problem before and could provide some information on how you (hopefully) solved it? I've only noticed this problem happening after I've installed the Mojave Delight Coolhair Replacer (http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/47937/?) though I don't think that is the problem, though it could be some race coding which I do not exactly understand.   7. I'm not sure what to say about this - I've been playing FNV heavily modded but I've never seen texture problems like this. Happened after I installed IMPACT and Weapon Retexture Project. These problems go away once I restart the game, but tends to come back quickly. Happens the most in Novac, which is by far the most buggiest town for me when it comes to mods. Basically, textures of basically EVERYTHING in the game, from roads to rocks to buildings, will start having very weird textures which literally changes when I move my camera or move. Sometimes it'd be the red exclamation mark problem (missing textures/meshes), sometimes it's the purple skin, and sometimes it's perfectly fine. However, things were perfectly fine until I installed the two mods that are only related to weapons, so I don't know how this occurred. Sometimes, this doesn't happen at all, and sometimes when it happens, 'kill' and 'resurrect' makes things right again. The only mods that I downloaded that is related to textures is the NMC Texture Packs, but it has always been working fine for me until recently.
  8. Okay, here's the gist of it: I've played FNV since it was released but only started playing with mods about 3 years ago. A few months back, I tried to get FNV running with much more CPU-intensive mods as I had a new laptop which had 8GB more RAM than my PC. My PC itself gets laggy and crashes often when using mods that spawns more enemies, thus the switch. Anyway, the last attempt worked quite well when testing - the only problem is that exiting to exteriors warrants an occasional crash. I shrugged this off as it was a huge improvement as compared to playing FNV on PC. However, I soon experienced much more crashes the further I got into the game, with it always happening for exteriors. It has gotten to the point where I am unable to ever leave an interior without relying on console. I'm not a complete newbie to installing and using mods, but I'm not a total expert at it. It'd be great to have some extra useful information when it comes to installing mods. I've already used these in my last attempt: Nexus Mod Manager FNV 4GB (and legit version of FNV) New Vegas Anti-Crash installed CASM (A save manager, this was recommended when I was seeking help last time) The only difference between using my laptop (12 GB RAM) and my PC (4 GB RAM) is that the game is **playable** on my PC, but not smoothly along with random crashes. On the laptop, the game runs extremely smoothly but crashes on exteriors to the point where the game cannot be played anymore. Also, I've used a few big mods that I did not use when on PC, which are: NMC Texture Pack One Hud Darnified UI Please advise me on how to decrease my crash rate. I've asked for help at the nexus forums for a month but did not receive any satisfactory answer, despite following the suggestions (installing CASM, reducing load order, etc). I've given up on actually finding a real solution and just wants to find a way to install mods smoother so I won't run into game-breaking problems later on. **tl:dr - read bullet list, advice on how to make mods run smoother overall**
  9. Not even saves in exteriors work now. Going to have to do a hard reset of the mods...
  10. Basically, when I exit to exteriors (aka using a door from the inside to the outside) I almost always crash. The auto-save will be there but the game crashes almost immediately. Half the time loading that auto-save works, the other half it crashes again. Some times, the auto-save won't even appear. I've tried everything I can think of, tried loading from different saves and stuff, but saves that are NOT at exteriors always have the same problems. Currently, I'm stuck inside the Deluxe House from the Willow mod. 1) I'm using NMM. 2) I'm using FNV 4GB. 3) I already have New Vegas Anti-Crash installed 4) I have CASM for save files. 5) Crashes always happen in populated areas (Goodsprings, Novac, etc) , but sometimes also happen in deserted areas (primm). Never happened on Nipton. Currently happening in Novac. 6) I played a similar load order on another PC, but without DarnifiedUI, oHUD, NMC texture pack, 4GB FNV, Anti-crash and CASM and I used NMM. No crashes for doors and stuff, but only random crashes.   11. I have gotten CASM but the same errors occur. I've subverted the crashes by loading a previous save and never going into wolfhorn ranch. Apparently, when I load any kind of saves while in that area, I will immediately crash. now at Novac, and errors still occur with little ways other than luck to subvert it.
