I would like to present all of you house and vault makers an idea that only a few seem to have pubically announced or atempted. There have been many clever player home ideas such as under water caves, raised houses to keep the wildlife from comeing in at night, and even using static vehicles as homes. The last is the idea I wanted to refresh you all with. The Idea of living in abandoned vehicles or very different areas of the wasteland has been a lot of your goals I'm guessing. Someone atempted a house housed inside the intact B-29 but I dont remember if the file was actually released. I descided to go over to Fallout 3 Nexus next door and sift through some intresting ideas. I'd like to mention that here in Nevada we do have some areas to work with: Lake Mead could house a large ship be it military, commercial, or civilian. We have 2 or 3 airstrips/airports such as nellis and searchlight. We have the sky above us, and the space above that... So thats: Boats, Airplanes, Airships, Spaceships. Spaceships make sense because we have alien weapons and there was Mothership Zeta from FO3 too... Here are some of the most intresting homes I found while doing a quick search through FO3 Nexus. Maybe one of you skilled modders can take a crack at some of these ideas? Enclave Airship Base: The author here basically took the Enclave Crawler off its tracks and turned it into a flying fortress with virtibird launch pads and windows that allowed the player to look at into the wasteland. It is mostly intact with an interior and even a cotpit. http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15260 Finally to wrap my idea and examples of up, I like to say that I wish I had the skills to create these types of unique houses, but I dont so I must leave it up to thoes of you that do have this talent. I have to admit, the floating enclave airship would definatly be a cool thing to see, maybe even a space station with low grav that was being constructed to fire nuclear missiles down upon our targets! That's something Repconn would do, and would probably require one of thoes dinky little rockets to get there and back. You know, that would give us a reason to wear that space suite....especially if we had space walks, or lived on a moon base. Please consider these ideas for new house designs that would possibly fit into the lore of FONV, or not, lol.
